    A new family of non-binary LDPC is presented that are based on a finite field GF(64). They may be successfully implemented in single-carrier and OFDM transmission system. Results prove that DAVINCI codes allow for improving the system performance and may be considered to be applied in the future mobile system.

    In recent years, the English-speaking world observed growing awareness of the gender non-binary/genderqueer community. Among other things, this involved the issue of in- clusive language, e.g. the singular they pronoun has been declared the word of the year by the American Dialect Society in 2015, and by Merriam-Webster in 2019. There is also growing media representation of characters using singular they in popular culture. This, however, poses a challenge to translators, as some languages – like Polish – are much more heavily gendered and lack an obvious equivalent of singular they. This article analy- ses Polish translations of three English-language television series featuring non-binary characters and discusses good practices one can employ when dealing with similar trans- lation challenges.

    The article attempts to investigate whether pairs of words from sets of non-binary semantic oppositions perform the same functions in sentences as strong semantic binary oppositions. Six noun pairs were selected for analysis: summer/winter, arm/leg, cat/dog, coffee/tea, trousers/skirt and telephone/letter. A total of 1,200 sentences in which members of one of these six pairs co-occur were analysed; they were selected from the balanced sub-corpus of the National Corpus of Polish. A set of nine basic functions is presented, which has been applied in works on various languages in recent decades. The functions are identified by determining the mutual relationship between the members of the pair, based on the semantic-syntactic analysis of the immediate context and the meaning of the whole sentence. The present study confirms the usefulness of almost all the functions from the set for describing the way the analysed pairs are used in the sentences from the corpus. Apart from this, it was found that the same two functions are the strongest in the present study as in this type of analysis concerning strong binary oppositions.
    W artykule podjęto próbę sprawdzenia, czy pary wyrazów ze zbiorów opozycji semantycznych wieloczłonowych pełnią w zdaniach takie same funkcje, jak pary stanowiące silne opozycje semantyczne dwuczłonowe. Do analizy wybrano sześć par rzeczownikowych: lato/zima, ręka/noga, kot/pies, kawa/herbata, spodnie/spódnica i telefon/list. Ze zrównoważonego podkorpusu Narodowego Korpusu Języka Polskiego wyselekcjonowano 1200 zdań, w których współwystępują człony jednej z tych sześciu par. Przedstawiono zestaw dziewięciu podstawowych funkcji, wykorzystywany w ostatnich dziesięcioleciach w pracach dotyczących różnych języków. Funkcje wyodrębniane są poprzez określenie wzajemnej relacji między członami pary na podstawie analizy semantyczno-składniowej kontekstu bezpośredniego i ustalenia znaczenia całego zdania. Niniejsze badanie potwierdziło użyteczność prawie wszystkich funkcji z zestawu do opisu sposobu użycia badanych par w zdaniach z korpusu. Ponadto stwierdzono, że w obecnym badaniu najsilniejsze są te same dwie funkcje co w analizach tego typu dotyczących silnych opozycji binarnych.

    This paper aims to illustrate the research path and methodological aspects of the study of sexual normativity with reference to a specific population of the LGBTQ+ universe, namely binary and non-binary transgender people in the Italian context through the analysis and historical reconstructions of the path of gender afirmation, in daily life and in the narrative proposed by the main old media. The decision to orient the focus of the analysis on transnormativity is related to the observation of an important research gap present in the scholarly literature, which has so far analyzed the processes of the construction of sexual normativity in mainstream society - and, as a result, has produced several studies and theorizing on heteronormativity and the male homosexual population (or homonormativity) - while conspicuously leaving out noncisgenderist sexual identies (transgender, genderfluid, agender, etc.). Following up on these premises, specifically, the following research questions were set: what are the reference gender models that guide and direct the identity construction of transgender people? And what are those of binary and non-binary people? how do these models reflect aspects atributable to mainstream sexual normativity (mainly heteronormativity and cisgenderism) furthermore, what diefrences are evident among these reference models in relation to various socio-demographic and identity aspects (how do they vary according to age, educational qualification, gender identity status, and sexual orientation). In order to try to answer the questions of the research design, a survey was conducted, using a biographical approach, through the administration of semi-structured interviews with privileged witnesses working in the field of gender reafirmation pathways in the medical, clinical and legal fields, in order to reconstruct the chronological and cultural stages of the construction of transnormativity from the enactment of State Law 164/1982 to the present day. In contrast to this perspective, new, increasingly fluid, complex, and diefrentiated demands are emerging, which have generated debate on the one hand and tension both with mainstream society and within the LGBTQ+ community on the other. This further fragmentation of cis-heteronormative criteria could, for some, pose a threat

    The article surveys the problem of non-binary gender in the context of linguistic experience of speakers of Polish. The first part deals with the notion of non-binary gender, the second part discusses its linguistic aspects, the third part presents the results of a questionnaire conducted among non-binary Polish speakers, the fourth part concludes the discussion and points to possible directions of further research.
    Niniejszy artykuł ma na celu zarysowanie zjawiska niebinarności płciowej i doświadczeń językowych osób niebinarnych posługujących się językiem polskim. W części pierwszej mowa o pojęciu niebinarności płciowej, w drugiej – omawiane są jego językowe aspekty, w trzeciej – prezentowane wyniki przeprowadzonego przez autorkę badania ankietowego wśród polskojęzycznych osób niebinarnych; w części czwartej następuje podsumowanie rozważań i wskazanie możliwych kierunków dalszych badań.

    The paper presents the concept of masculinity within the non-binary and multilayered model of gender/sex traits. Within that model, masculinity is not a simple idea, but rather is fragmented into many traits in diverse clusters. The experience of transgender men and men with intersex traits suggests that self-determined male gender identity is a mega trait that is sufficient for being a man. However, masculinity is not only psychological, as the content of the psychological feeling of being a man refers to social norms about how men should be and behave. And male coded traits are described as traits that frequently occur within the group of people identifying as men. Therefore, I claim that there are two interdependent ideas in the concept of masculinity: the self-determined male gender identity (first-person perspective) and a cluster of traits coded as male (third-person perspective). Within non-binary model the interplay between the two interdependent ideas allows to include borderline masculinities.

    The present article argues for introducing the paradigm of trans linguistics, as outlined by Zimman (2020), into the Polish language sciences. Research conducted in this paradigm examines how transgender identities function in language with use of various methodologies, and, importantly, assumes the perspective of the transgender community. Relevant social contexts are taken into account (cf. Bieńkowska 2014), so that the study belongs to the category of “engaged humanities” (cf. Kochanowski 2013). Then, the article attempts to outline and critically analyze existing Polish research on the topic and possible directions for future studies.
    Artykuł stanowi propozycję wprowadzenia do polskiego językoznawstwa opisanego przez Zimmana (2020) paradygmatu trans lingwistyki jako zbioru różnorodnych metodologicznie badań nad językowymi przejawami zjawiska transpłciowości prowadzonych z perspektywy osób transpłciowych. Badania takie uwzględniają swoje społeczne konteksty (por. Bieńkowska 2014) i wpisują się w nurt „humanistyki zaangażowanej” (por. Kochanowski 2013). Dalsza część tekstu jest próbą usystematyzowania i krytycznej analizy dotychczasowych polskich prac dotyczących omawianej tematyki i wyznaczenia możliwych kierunków przyszłych badań.

    Generalized Rademacher functions, constructed as a sequence of elements of Galois fields are intended to find the spectral representation of signals with levels. These functions form a complete basis on the interval corresponding to -1 discrete time intervals and for passing into the classical Rademacher functions. The advantage of such spectra obtained using Galois Fields Fourier Transform is that the range of variation of the spectrum amplitudes remains the same as the range of variation of the original signal, which is modeled on discrete time functions taking values in the Galois field.

    Mit ihrem Debütroman Außer sich (2017) unternimmt Sasha Marianna Salzmann einen Streifzug durch die Geschichte der letzten hundert Jahre und thematisiert anhand von vier Generationen die Themen Flucht, Migration, Geschlecht, Identitätssuche und Generationstraumata. Im Mittelpunkt der Handlung steht die Mitte 20-jährige Alissa, genannt Ali, die getrieben von der Suche nach ihrem Zwillingsbruder Anton nach Istanbul reist. Grenzen und deren Überschreitungen stehen im Zentrum des Romans. Geschlechtliche Grenzen werden in Form transgeschlechtlichen Personen unterlaufen, geographische Grenzen durch Orts- und Zeitwechsel überschritten. Kulturelle und sprachliche Grenzen sind Begleiterscheinungen der in Raum und Zeit changierenden Erinnerungsarbeit. Der Artikel wird sich auf drei für den Roman wesentlichen Grenzbegriffe fokussieren: Geographische/territoriale Grenzen, zeitliche Grenzen, geschlechtliche und individuelle Grenzen.
    With her debut novel Außer sich (2017), Sasha Marianna Salzmann undertakes a journey through the history of the last hundred years and explores the themes of flight, migration, gender, the search for identity, and generational trauma through four generations. The plot centers on Alissa, called Ali, a woman in her mid-20s, who travels to Istanbul driven by the search for her twin brother Anton. Boundaries and their transgressions are at the heart of the novel. Gender boundaries are subverted in the form of transgender characters, geographical boundaries are transgressed through changes of place and time. Cultural and linguistic boundaries are concomitants of memory work that shifts in space and time. The article will focus on three limit-concepts essential to the novel: Geographical boundaries, temporal boundaries, and gender boundaries.
    W swojej debiutanckiej powieści Außer sich (2017) Sasha Marianna Salzmann wybiera się w podróż przez historię ostatnich stu lat i ukazuje ją na przykładzie czterech generacji, podejmując tematy: ucieczki, migracji, płci, poszukiwania tożsamości oraz traum pokoleniowych. Główna bohaterka, ok. 25-letnia Alissa, zwana Ali, wyrusza do Stambułu w poszukiwaniu Antona, swojego brata bliźniaka. Granice płci podważają transpłciowi bohaterowie, granice geograficzne zostają przekroczone dzięki zmianom miejsc i czasu. Granice kulturowe i językowe towarzyszą operującej w przestrzeni i czasie pracy pamięci. Autorka artykułu skupia się na trzech istotnych dla powieści znaczeniach granic: granicach geograficznych/terytorialnych, granicach czasowych oraz granicach płciowych i indywidualnych.

    Opis:
    The article attempts to analyse the inclusive Belarusian language, especially such an understudied segment as non-binary, non-binary identity, and how it is presented in the Belarusian language. This is the first attempt in Belarusian linguistics to respond to these new challenges and analyse both the internal resources of the language (pronouns, neuter noun, epicenity, neologisms, etc.) and external resources (for example, borrowings) in connection with the needs of non-binary individuals. In addition to the Belarusian case, the article presents a comparative perspective – the experience of other languages (English, French, Ukrainian and Lithuanian) in the development of non-binary vocabulary, and other linguistic tools for self-determination are analysed. Special attention in the text is devoted to neology as the most effective and promising means of developing a non-binary vocabulary.
    W artykule podjęto próbę analizy inkluzywnego języka białoruskiego, zwłaszcza tak niedostatecznie zbadanego segmentu, jak niebinarna tożsamość oraz sposobów jej reprezentacji w języku białoruskim. Jest to pierwsza w językoznawstwie białoruskim, a zwłaszcza w lingwistyce genderowej, próba odpowiedzi na nowe wyzwania i analizy zarówno zasobów wewnętrznych języka (zaimki, rodzaj nijaki, neologizmy itp.), jak i zasobów zewnętrznych (np. zapożyczenia) w związku z potrzebami osób niebinarnych. Oprócz przypadku białoruskiego w artykule przedstawiono perspektywę porównawczą – przeanalizowano doświadczenia innych języków (angielskiego, francuskiego, ukraińskiego i litewskiego) w rozwoju słownictwa niebinarnego i innych narzędzi językowych do samostanowienia. Szczególną uwagę w tekście poświęcono neologii, jako najskuteczniejszej i najbardziej obiecującej metodzie rozwijania słownictwa niebinarnego.
    У артыкуле зробленая спроба аналізу інклюзіўнай беларускай мовы, асабліва такога недасьледаванага сэгмэнту, як небінарнасьць, небінарная ідэнтычнасьць і спосабаў яе падачы ў беларускай мове. Гэта першая спроба ў беларускім мовазнаўстве, у прыватнасьці ў гендарнай лінгвістыцы, зрэагаваць на новыя выклікі і прааналізаваць як нутраныя рэсурсы мовы (займеньнікі, ніякі род, супольны род, нэалягізмы і інш.), так і вонкавыя (напрыклад, запазычаньні) у зьвязцы з патрэбамі небінарных асобаў. Апрача беларускага выпадку ў артыкуле прадстаўленая параўнаўчая пэрспэктыва – аналізуецца досьвед іншых моваў (ангельскай, францускай, украінскай і летувіскай) у выпрацоўцы небінарнай лексыкі і іншых моўных сродкаў для самавызначэньня. Асаблівая ўвага ў тэксьце прысьвечаная нэалёгіі, як найбольш эфэктыўнаму і пэрспэктыўнаму сродку выпрацоўкі небінарнай лексыкі.

    The paper presents the possibility of application of the developed computer script which allows the assessment of non-equilibrium solidification of binary alloys in the ThermoCalc program. The script makes use of databases and calculation procedures of the POLY-3 module. A solidification model including diffusion in the solid state, developed by Wołczyński, is used to describe the non-equilibrium solidification. The model takes into account the influence of the degree of solute segregation on the solidification process by applying the so-called back-diffusion parameter. The core of the script is the iteration procedure with implemented model equation. The possibility of application of the presented calculation method is illustrated on the example of the Cr-30% Ni alloy. Computer simulations carried out with use of the developed script allow to determine the influence of the back-diffusion parameter on the course of solidification curves, solidus temperature, phase composition of the alloy and the fraction of each phase after the solidification completion, the profile of solute concentration in liquid during solidification process, the average solute concentration in solid phase at the eutectic temperature and many other quantities which are usually calculated in the ThermoCalc program.

    Situado en la compleja problemática por articular otras estructuras de pensamiento no dualistas, que nos permitan ser posibles y como tales aceptados socialmente sin necesidad de que seamos asimilados al sistema normativo para conseguirlo, el presente ensayo analiza las luchas de las comunidades LGTBQI+ en el Estado español y cómo estas aparecen articuladas en la producción cultural de artistas LGTBQI+ españolxs; en concreto, en la producción poética de lxs poetas José Infante (Málaga, 1946) y Txus García (Tarragona, 1974).
    Located in the complex problematic of articulating other non-dualist structures of thought, which allow us to be possible and, as such, socially accepted without the need to be assimilated into the normative order to achieve it, this essay analyses the struggles of LGTBQI+ communities in Spain and how these communities are articulated in the cultural production of LGTBQI+ Spanish artists; in particular, in the poetic production of the poets José Infante (Málaga, 1946) and Txus García (Tarragona, 1974).

    Opis:
    One of the most common diseases of our time is non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Recently published research results indicate that patients with NAFLD along with traditional risk factors for cardiovascular diseases (CVD) have "new"risk factors such as endothelial dysfunction (ED), carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT), an increase in the CRP level, as well as risk factors combined into the Framingham scale. It is also knownthat combination of NAFLD with subclinical hypothyroidism (SH) forms an abnormal metabolic phenotype, which is associated with cardiometabolicrisk factors. The study of cardiometabolic predictors and vascular markers in patients with NAFLD in combination with SH willprovide an opportunityto improve the strategy of cardiovascular events prevention in such comorbid patients.
    Niealkoholowe stłuszczenie wątroby (NAFLD) jest jedną z najczęstszych chorób naszych czasów. Ostatnio opublikowane wyniki badań sugerują, że pacjenci z NAFLD, wraz z tradycyjnymi czynnikami ryzyka chorób sercowo-naczyniowych (CVD), mają "nowe" czynniki ryzyka, takie jak dysfunkcja śródbłonka (ED), grubość błony wewnętrznej i środkowej tętnicy szyjnej (CIMT), podwyższony poziom CRP i czynniki ryzyka połączone w skali Framingham. Wiadomo również, że połączenie NAFLD z subkliniczną niedoczynnością tarczycy (SH) tworzy nieprawidłowy fenotyp metaboliczny związany z czynnikami ryzyka kardiometabolicznego. Badanie predyktorów kardiometabolicznych i markerów naczyniowych u pacjentów z NAFLDw połączeniu z SH pozwoli na ulepszenie strategii zapobiegania zdarzeniom sercowo-naczyniowym u takich współistniejących pacjentów.
