    Opis:
    This article presents one segment of the Balkan patchwork of ethnic groups, cultures and languages in the form of nine indications of Serbian folk sub-dialects from the language borderline in two regions with ancient, intense contacts between Slavic and non-Slavic ethnic groups, languages and cultures. Bearing in mind the fact that all the most significant features of the presented sub-dialects correspond with the “mother dialectic type”, departures from the norm result from the sub-dialects’ geographical and linguistic borderline locations i.e. a direct foreign influence is at play. The non-Slavic languages (Romanian and Albanian) have exerted a strong impact on the Serbian folk sub-dialects in the borderline regions. Consequently, the sub-dialects as we know them today do not reflect the developmental processes taking place in central Serbian sub-dialects, a phenomenon which is even more remarkable in the sub-dialects of the borderline enclaves

    Opis:
    This text is an attempt to analyse the ways of existence of heroes “living differently” – ghosts, phantoms, those invisible in the works of Elena Dolgopyat. In her works, the line between life and death becomes blurred: a hero who rose from the grave may turn out to be more alive than a man who did not die but exists in a sense of nonsense. He may also not notice his own death. The impure force functions in the world and is presented on a par with living characters, which is a characteristic feature of magical realism. The writer presents the non‑living, drawing on Slavic folklore tradition, as I try to show. I also juxtapose Dolgopyat’s stories with Alexander Etkind’s research on memory and trauma in Russian culture, considering them to be their exemplification.

    W zapisach dawnych słowiańskich nazw miejscowych i terenowych Pomorza Zachodniego afrykatyzację *r' > ř, rz itp. obserwujemy na terenach sąsiadujących z gwarami kaszubsko-słowińskimi na wschód od rzeki Słupia oraz, rzadko, wzdłuż południowo-wschodniej granicy Pomorza. Na terenie niemieckiego Pomorza Przedniego, Meklemburgii i w dawnych słowiańskich gwarach Połabia afrykatyzacja *r' nie nastąpiła. Świadczy to o dawnym zróżnicowaniu dialektów lechickich na zachodnie, bez akomodacji *r' (a także częściowo bez zmian *t', *d'  przed samogłoskami rzędu przedniego) oraz wschodnie, które cechowała afrykatyzacja *r' > ř, rz, š/ž (oraz *t' > ć, *d' > ȝ́ ). Brak akomodacji spowodowany był tendencją do utrzymania silniejszej wymowy sonantów. Rezultatem było częściowe stwardnienie systemu konsonantycznego, ograniczenie przegłosu pralechickiego, zachowanie bez metatezy grupy *tărt (typ karva 'krowa'), zlanie kontynuantów *l̥' i *l̥ > oł (typ vołk 'wilk'), zachowanie/zwokalizowanie w zanikłym dialekcie połabskim dawnych jerów słabych (typ blåxă 'pchła'). Stwierdzono liczne analogie do współczesnych gwar bułgarskich i macedońskich.
    In the records of the old Slavic place and field names of West Pomerania, we can observe the affri- catization *r′ > ř, rz etc. in the areas adjacent to the Kashubian-Slavic dialects east of the Słupia River and, rarely, along the south-eastern border of Pomerania. Affricatization of *r′ did not take place in the territory of German Vorpommern, Mecklenburg or in the old Slavic dialects of Polabia. This proves the former differentiation of the Lechitic dialects into Western ones, without the accom- modation *r′ (and also partially without changes *t′, *d′ before the vowels of the front order) and the Eastern ones, characterized by affricatization *r′ > ř, rz, š/ž (and *t′ > ć, *d′ > ȝ́). The lack of accommodation was caused by the tendency to maintain a stronger pronunciation of sonorants. The result was a partial hardening of the consonant system, limitation of the pre-Lechic mutation (proto- Lechitic metaphony), the preservation without metathesis of the group *tărt (karva ‛cow’ type), the merging of continuants *l̥’ and *l̥ > oł (vołk ‛wolf’ type), the vocalization of old weak yers (in ini- tial syllables) in the Polabian dialect (blåxă ‛flea’ type). Numerous parallels with modern Bulgarian and Macedonian dialects have been found.
