    Opis:
    The paper discusses contemporary condition of French erotic or/and pornographic novel. As social and cultural circumstances seem to put an end to its transgressive potential, the authors of this kind of writing tried, at first, to keep abreast of other media. Nevertheless, the “trash” or “grunge” novel as well as autofictional erotic writings were not able to satisfy the critics. The novels from L’instant erotique collection, written by specialists of erotic art, change the strategy and exploit the new state of cultural relations in which the role of this sort of literature is rather to imitate or to play with erotic or pornographic tradition, creating a new model of reception: very conscious and erudite.

    Opis:
    The year of the fall of the Berlin Wall is an important turning point in the history of the 20th century Europe. It symbolises the erosion of the communist system, which in Poland had began thirteen years earlier – with breaking the omnipotence of censorship by the independent self-publishing. When in 1989 the Opposition came to power, they changed both the economic and political system, which in turn changed the whole Polish culture – the book market, publishers’ position, function of the magazines, and even writers’ status. The readers’ first reaction was a sudden increase of interest in the emigrant, gulag, and underground literature, however, not even a decade passed, when that interest started fading. Then came the second wave: popular literature (romances, crime stories, thrillers, speculative fiction). Also, there were changes in the literary life: the dominant role of the capital city during the Polish People’s Republic had been undermined by local initiatives (including art zines, publishing houses in the provinces), “the headquarters’” position was nevertheless maintained by the state television and the authority of the Nike Literary Award, which had been created in 1996. Poetry was dominated by “the old poets” (Cz. Miłosz, T. Różewicz, Z. Herbert, W. Szymborska), who, despite nearing the ends of their lives, were in an exceptionally good literary shape. They were accompanied by the authors of The New Wave, with whom the poets of “BruLion” group soon waged war. In prose, the writers born around 1960, who are well-known today in Europe (e.g. O. Tokarczuk), gained a strong position. The world recognition was also won over by the masters of the Polish reportage (e.g. R. Kapuściński, H. Krall) and their pupils (W. Tochman, W. Jagielski, M. Szczygieł).

    Media społecznościowe stały się już nie tylko narzędziem służącym podtrzymywaniu relacji międzyludzkich, ale i platformą rozpowszechniania literatury, a także jej istotnym tematem. Do grupy tekstów wykorzystujących nowe media nie tylko jako narzędzie transmisji, ale również temat i tworzywo należą publikowane na portalu Facebook od listopada 2012 Facecje. To rodzaj słowno-obrazowych kolaży, które „przepisują” istotne historyczne wydarzenia czy utwory literackie na język nowych mediów, budując na ich podstawie cykl komentarzy (graficznie idealnie odzwierciedlający rzeczywisty interfejs Facebooka) czy dyskusję SMS-ową. Interpretacja takiej Facecji wymaga nie tylko kompetencji i wiedzy historycznej, ale także „cyberpiśmienności” i orientacji w specyfice medium. Facecje, choć z założenia satyryczne, dostarczają również wiedzy z zakresu funkcjonowania mediów społecznościowych. Mają także być rodzajem wymagającej alternatywy dla internautów znudzonych niskim poziomem rozpowszechnianych w internecie żartów.
    Beyond being a tool for maintaining interpersonal contact, social media have now become a platform for the dissemination of literature, as well as a topic of literature itself. Among the class of texts that use new media not only as a vehicle for transmission but also as material and subject matter, the Facecje (Facetiae) page on Facebook, published since November 2012, cannot be overlooked. The site offers a kind of verbal-visual collages, which “rewrite” important historical events or literary works in the language of new media, using them as the substructure for cycles of comments (in graphics that perfectly duplicate the real Facebook interface) or text message dialogues. To interpret these facetiae, not only historical knowledge and competency are needed, but also knowledge of “cyber-writing” and awareness of the specific nature and context of the medium. Though positioned as satire, the humour of Facecje also conveys reflection on how social media function. The site also offers a more demanding alternative for internet users who are bored with the low level of many jokes circulating on the internet.

    Tekst przybliża związki między stosowaną przez twórców e-literatury strategią przepływu (flow) a immersyjnością utworu. Kategoria flow odnosi się do dzieł procesualnych, stwarzających wrażenie stopniowego bądź dynamicznego „płynięcia” po ekranie oraz płynnego przeobrażania się. Celem jej stosowania zwykle jest konstruowanie warstwy ikonicznej lub budowanie dynamiki ścieżki e-utworu. Immersyjność zaś to wytwarzająca się pomiędzy odbiorcą-interaktorem a e-utworem chęć/zgoda na podtrzymywanie w świadomości wrażenia przebywania (percepcyjnego i interpretacyjnego zanurzenia i zaangażowania) we wnętrzu innej, wirtualnej rzeczywistości. Najsilniejsze wrażenie immersji gwarantują utwory realizowane z wykorzystaniem środowiska CAVE (jaskini wirtualnej), choć immersja możliwa jest również w przypadku e-literatury mniej zaawansowanej technologicznie, poziomy lektury immersyjnej wynikają bowiem z łączenia przez twórców w rozmaitych konfiguracjach elementów takich jak: uprzestrzennienie, warstwa kolorystyczno-graficzna eksponująca procesualność lub efekt głębi, warstwa brzmieniowa, nakłanianie odbiorcy do wejścia w rolę interaktora itp. Badacze na immersyjność e-literatury spoglądają jako na artystyczną manifestację sprzeciwu wobec postawy chłodnego eksperckiego dystansu, dominującego w dwudziestowiecznym historyczno- i krytycznoliterackim dyskursie uniwersyteckim. Immersję postrzegać więc można jako rodzaj „mostu” gwarantującego zaangażowanie w lekturę, szansę odzyskania utraconego zaangażowania odbiorczego.
    The text takes a closer look at the relationship between the flow strategy used by e-literature authors and the immersive nature of a literary work. The concept of flow refers to processual works that produce the impression of gradual or dynamic flow across the screen and smooth transformations. It is usually used to construct imagery or to build up the momentum of an e-work. Immersion, in turn, is the desire/consent that emerges between the viewer-interactor and the e-artwork to sustain the impression of being (through perceptual and interpretive immersion and involvement) inside another virtual reality. The reader can experience the strongest feeling of immersion in works created with the use of CAVE (virtual cave) environment, although immersion is also possible with less technologically advanced e-literature, as immersive reading levels result from the various combination of elements such as spatialization, colors and graphics exposing processuality or depth effect, sounds that induce the viewer to enter the role of interactor, etc. Researchers look at the immersiveness of e-literature as an artistic expression of opposition to the posture of cool expert detachment prevailing in twentieth-century historical and critical literary discourse at universities. Immersion can thus be considered a kind of “bridge” that guarantees engagement in reading, a chance of regaining lost readerly involvement.

    Artykuł jest próbą opisu zjawisk rywalizacji rówieśniczej i związanej z nią cyberprzemocy obecnych w nowych mediach w odniesieniu do literatury dla dzieci i młodzieży. Analizowane opowiadania są ilustracją realnych zagrożeń, które niesie wirtualna rzeczywistość. Tego rodzaju literatura zarówno w formie i treści stanowi dla młodego odbiorcy ważne źródło wiedzy dotyczącej otaczającego go świata. Opowiadania te są zatem dobrą propozycją do lektury tak dla rodziców, nauczycieli a zwłaszcza młodzieży.
    The article is an attempt to describe the phenomena of peer rivalry and related cyberbullying present in new media in relation to literature for children and adolescents. The short stories analyzed ilustrate the real threats posed by virtual reality. This type of literature, both in form and content, is an important source of knowledge for young people , knowledge related to the world around them. Therefore, these stories are a good reading selection for parents, teachers and especially young people

    Opis:
    Die Nutzung des Internets und seiner Dienste, u.a. der E-Mail, sozialer Medien, Kommunikationsplattformen und Online-Spiele, wurde zur expliziten Erscheinung der heutigen Welt. Die neuen Medien bieten nämlich den jungen Benutzern eine der attraktivsten Formen der Freizeitgestaltung, weswegen sie immer mehr als Thema und Motiv in der gegenwärtigen Kinder- und Jugendliteratur erscheinen. Diesem Phänomen ist der vorliegende Beitrag gewidmet, dessen Ziel es ist, an exemplarisch ausgewählten Texten den Einfluss des Internets auf die Problematik und Form, Wirklichkeitsdarstellung und Figurenzeichnung in der heutigen Kinder- und Jugendliteratur zu untersuchen. Besonders wichtig erscheint die Frage, wie sich das Wechselspiel zwischen realer und virtueller Realität auf die literarische Fiktion und Konstruktion der Werke auswirkt.
    Using the services provided by the Internet such as e-mail, social media, instant messengers or online games became unavoidable and irreversible phenomenon of the modern world. These media are one of the most attractive types of entertainment and spending free time. This is the main reason why media appears more often as the theme in the modern children’s and adolescent literature. Main goal of this paper is to point out how the Internet impacts on issues, plot line and creation of the represented world and characters in the children’s and adolescent literature. The very important question is – how the interpenetrate of the real and virtual world influences on literary fiction and composition.
    Korzystanie z Internetu i jego usług, takich jak np. poczta elektroniczna, media społecznościowe, komunikatory i gry online, stało się nieuniknionym i nieodwracalnym zjawiskiem współczesnego świata. Media te stanowią bowiem jedną z najatrakcyjniejszych form rozrywki oraz spędzania wolnego czasu przez ich młodych użytkowników, dlatego pojawiają sie coraz częściej jako temat i motyw we współczesnej literaturze dla dzieci i młodzieży. Temu fenomenowi poświęcony jest niniejszy artykuł, którego celem jest wykazanie na podstawie wybranych utworów wpływu Internetu na problematykę, fabułę oraz na kreację świata przedstawionego i bohaterów w literaturze dla dzieci i młodzieży. Istotne wydaje się pytanie, w jaki sposób przenikanie się świata realnego i wirtualnego wpływa na fikcję literacką i konstrukcję utworów.

    At least since the 1990s a large body of research concerning the role of white women in the colonial enterprise testifi ed to the confl uence between upholding racist narratives and women’s rights discourses. Due to the extensive media coverage of multiple sexual harassment cases during the New Year’s Eve in Cologne, Germany, anti-racist and feminist discourses clashed in Poland and all over Europe, underpinning far-right rhetoric. The following intersectional and postcolonial analysis of contemporary narratives of the Muslim sexual deviancy maps discourses underlying recent representations of immigrants and refugees. From dwelling into Western European colonial iconographies, via liberal feminist discourse, to investigating links between publishing houses, press organs and political parties in Poland, this study puts forward an argument that contemporary islamophobia is complex and widespread far beyond being an age-old argument in far-right rhetoric
    Przynajmniej od lat 90. ubiegłego stulecia obszerne badania dotyczące roli białych kobiet w europejskich koloniach świadczą o zbieżności między powielaniem rasistowskich narracji a dyskursami na temat praw kobiet. W związku z nagłośnionymi w mediach przypadkami molestowania seksualnego w czasie sylwestra w niemieckiej Kolonii, w Polsce i w całej Europie doszło do polemiki między przedstawicielami środowisk antyrasistowskich i feministycznych, co wykorzystała skrajna prawica do umocnienia własnej retoryki. Opierając się na intersekcjonalnej i postkolonialnej analizie współczesnych narracji dotyczących odmiennej od europejskiej seksualności muzułmanów, niniejszy tekst stanowi próbę usystematyzowania dyskursów leżących u podstaw współczesnych wizerunków imigrantów i uchodźców. Od zachodnioeuropejskiej ikonografi i kolonialnej, poprzez liberalny dyskurs feministyczny, aż po badanie powiązań pomiędzy wydawnictwami, organami prasowymi i partiami politycznymi w Polsce, artykuł stanowi próbę dowiedzenia, iż współczesna islamofobia istnieje nie tylko jako odwieczny argument w retoryce skrajnej prawicy, lecz jest o wiele bardziej złożona i powszechna.
