    According to Oleksandr Kirichuk, Ukraine’s honorary consul in Auckland, by the first week of March 2022, over 500 New Zealanders had volunteered to fight in Ukraine against Russia. The exact number of New Zealand veterans fighting in Ukraine fluctuates on a weekly or even daily basis as NZ veterans are killed, wounded or simply decide they have done enough and return home. However, from interviews with veterans, it can be estimated that there are somewhere between 15–25 New Zealanders posted to front line combat units at any particular time. The motivations of New Zealand veterans fighting in Ukraine are complex and multifaceted, reflecting a unique blend of personal, political, and cultural factors. This article explores the underlying motivations of these New Zealand veterans to engage in a conflict far from home; delving into the various personal, social, and political factors that have influenced their decision to serve in Ukraine.

    Opis:
    The aim of the research was to determine the effect of polyester-glass recyclate on the deflection of composite samples subjected to three-point bending. The polyester-glass recyclate was obtained from the part of the ship’s hull made of polyester-glass composite, constituting scrap metal. The pieces of scrap were pre-fragmented and then processed into a prepared stand for this purpose. Such a fragmented recycling will be used to make composites with different scrap / recycled content. For this purpose, research materials were made using the vacuum bag method with the percentage of 0%, 10% and 20% recyclate) as well as various granulation (i.e. 1.2 mm and 3.0 mm). The research material consisted of rectangular plates with a thickness corresponding to the thickness of the samples. The samples for testing were made by water cutting. The tests were carried out on a suitably prepared stand, which was made of a universal Zwick Roell testing machine and three-point bending handles and a dial indicator. The spacing of the supports has been determined in accordance with the binding standard for three-point bending. Obtained results from tests, i.e. strain, stress, deflection, deformation allowed analysing the impact of recyclate on bending strength and defining the deflection arrow. Based on the results obtained from three-point bending, it can be concluded that the polyester-glass recycling has an influence on the decrease of strength, stress and deflections of the tested composites.

    The main objective of the combat logistic support in a specific battle environment is to maintain a continuous required supply and to recover/evacuate damaged equipment. Depending on the type of environment, there are some problems with providing troops with the supply which should be of proper sort and amount and fulfil the troops’ needs at right time and in the right place. The force protection of supply convoys and logistic points in a specific battle environment becomes a significant problem for the commanders of logistic troops. The effectiveness of combat logistic support in a specific battle environment can be augmented by using new technologies complementing standard solutions in the field of force protection of supply convoys and logistic points.
    Głównym celem zabezpieczenia logistycznego wojsk realizujących zadania w specyficznych środowiskach walki jest zapewnienie ciągłości zaopatrywania oraz rozpoznanie, ewakuacja i naprawa uszkodzonego sprzętu wojskowego. W zależności od rodzaju środowiska, w jakim prowadzone są działania występują pewne problemy związane z dostarczeniem żołnierzom odpowiedniego rodzaju środków zaopatrzenia, we właściwej ilości, czasie oraz w nakazane miejsce. Ochrona i obrona konwojów oraz urządzeń logistycznych w specyficznych środowiskach walki staje się istotnym problemem dla dowódców pododdziałów logistycznych. Skuteczność zabezpieczenia logistycznego wojsk realizujących zadania w specyficznych środowiskach walki można zwiększyć, wykorzystując nowe technologie uzupełniające standardowe rozwiązania w zakresie ochrony i obrony konwojów oraz urządzeń logistycznych.

    Тренды глобальной системы международных отношений к многополярности открыли России окно возможностей вернуть себе статус мировой державы, без которого россияне не представляют будущего своей страны. В статье автор показывает цели России, которые направлены на разрушение существующего мирового порядка. Особую опасность, как утверждается в статье, такая реваншистская политика России представляет для стран Новой Восточной Европы. Присоединив Новую Восточную Европу, Россия может с этой стратегической позиции продолжать свое дальнейшее геополитическое наступление в Центральную Европу и навязывать собственную нормативную силу Западной Европе. Автор также дает оценку и прогноз негативных последствий геополитического наступления России на Запад для европейской безопасности.
