    Opis:
    W artykule analizowany jest charakter powiązań pomiędzy instytucjonalnymi uczestnikami współpracy międzysektorowej w ramach partnerstw terytorialnych (a dokładniej tzw. lokalnych grup działania LEADER) utworzonych na obszarach wiejskich w celu podejmowania wspólnych działań na rzecz rozwoju społeczno-ekonomicznego określonych regionów. W kontekście koncepcji kapitału społecznego, za pomocą podstawowych wskaźników sieciowych, zbadano powiązania w trzech partnerstwach położonych w odrębnych regionach historyczno-kulturowych Polski. Omówiono interakcje pomiędzy uczestnikami współpracy (koordynacja, kooperacja, konflikt, kontrola i konkurencja) oraz przepływy (informacji, środków finansowych, zasobów ludzkich i rzeczowych).
    This paper presents analysis of different connections between institutional participants of three area-based partnerships (LEADER Local Action Groups) that have been created in rural areas to coordinate actions which contribute to social and economic development of the respective regions. The relations in three partnerships located in different historical-cultural regions of Poland were analysed in the context of the social capital concept, using basic network relation indexes. Various types of interactions between agents (coordination, conflict, co-operation, control and competition) and flows (information, financial assets, human resources and tangible resources) have been analysed.

    Opis:
    Celem artykułu jest zaproszenie do dyskusji nad zagadnieniami dotyczącymi natury miasta, których zarządzający nim powinni być świadomi. W mieście, które jest siecią sieci, osadzoną w rozleglejszych sieciach, następują przepływy wartości między uczestnikami sieci. Na rozwój miasta powinni mieć realny wpływ aktorzy lokalni z czterech sektorów. Jednak skutki ich działań nie zawsze są przewidywalne. Miasto jako sieć jest systemem współzależności, rozwija się „trwając w chaosie”, budując tożsamość w zmiennym, nieuporządkowanym otoczeniu, rozwija swoją narrację.
    The purpose of the article is the invitation to the discussion about nature of the city, and public authorities should be aware if them. The city is a network of networks, embedded in broader networks, and within it are the values flows between networks participants. The local actors from four sectors should impact on city development, but the consequences of their activity are not predictable often. The city as a network is a system of interdependence, developing by being in chaos, creating its identity in changing disordered environment and developing its narration.

    Opis:
    Purpose: The aim of the article is to present an example of a solution applied in economic practice in the field of the structure of the global WTA network organization, with particular emphasis on the relations between its main participants - the organizers of tennis tournaments. Methodology: Considerations in the article, beyond the theoretical part, based on a review of the literature on the subject, were carried out with the use of the descriptive method. For the purposes of the article, available source materials from the resources of the WTA organization were used, as well as the co-author's own observations made during many years of cooperation with this organization. Findings: The study allowed for the identification and relatively rich description of the structure of the WTA as a network organization. It explains how the WTA organization functions on the global tennis market, on which general and theoretical principles it is created, and what benefits it brings to both the WTA and its members. Originality/value: The WTA network presented in the article and the "coalitions" of its members brings forth the diversity of the structures of network organizations. This signifies that a network integrator must skillfully shape and manage relations with emerging subgroups of stakeholders with different priorities, needs and goals.

    Opis:
    The essence of the project presented in the article is regrouping the set of three cities Warsaw, Łódź and Radom in conurbation set via a constituting inter-medial knot - international airport in the place of an army airport which exists today (Nowe Miasto upon Pilica). The project limits itself to the essential elements of restructuring, which are the airport together with arteries connecting cities and high speed train routes which connect terminals in the cities with the airport. The presented conception is a proposal of reorientation strategy and activation of policy of spatial management of the country by building a Metropolitan Zone of mid Poland. The value of the project is in the fact that it does not require the support of long term development prognosis, which is always burdened with a huge dose of uncertainty. The proposed strategy relies on grouping the scattered potential which exist nowadays. In this sense it is not a leading but a threshold investment. The network set opens the way for the flexible power balance of many factors.
