    The landscape of the Oświęcim Basin, naturally dominated by forest communities, has been strongly transformed due to the long-term activities of man. Across time and space, it has been stamped by pond management and agriculture to the highest degree. Despite such a strong transformation of the natural environment fragments of forests which reflect the peculiarities of forest vegetation of the macroregion still occur. These are the Żaki and the Przeciszów nature reserves. The goal of the phytosociological studies done within their borders was the assessment of the Tilio-Carpinetum phytocoenoses which dominate in the reserves, regarding their: maintenance, naturalness, anthropological changes and compliance to anthropopressure, as well as natural values. Therefore, analyses related to the share of: character species, ancient woodland indicators and synanthropes were performed for purposes of the study. It has been proposed that transformations of the forest communities be assessed using the new formula of floristic naturalness coefficient (WNF), based on the share of ancient woodland and synanthropic species.

    The author of this paper defines the aspectual paradigms of Russian verbs as such grammatical structures whose formal aspect is correlated with the conceptual one, therefore being its cognitive counterpart. With a view to analysing these paradigms he uses the theory of markedness as an analytic tool. According to it, the grammatical changes that occur in natural languages originate from general principles of naturalness which are typologically relevant. They result in morphological shifts that are linked to the verbalisation of Russian aspectual paradigms and allow to predict the direction of their development. In particular, the principle of natural grammatical development should be considered crucial. It means that the grammatical changes in natural languages cause elimination of marked elements, so that these more complex linguistic structues are replaced with less complex ones. Such a principle manifests an unconscious desire of language users to minimise their linguistic efforts, as it would place an additional burden on interpersonal communication.

    Artykuł ma na celu ukazać wyniki analizy zachowania naturalności krajobrazu w Obszarze Metropolitalnym Gdańsk - Gdynia - Sopot. Analizy zostały przeprowadzone w granicach jednostek administracyjnych – gmin oraz w polach badawczych o kształcie heksagonu. Uzyskane wyniki wykazują, że wraz ze wzrostem odległości od rdzenia Obszaru Metropolitalnego Gdańsk - Gdynia - Sopot, zwiększa się stopień naturalności krajobrazu. Jednakże, ze względu na ograniczenia przestrzenne w rozwoju osadnictwa (duże zróżnicowanie wysokości, rozległe kompleksy leśne), różnice w stopniu przekształcania antropogenicznego między centrum a peryferiami obszaru metropolitalnego nie są aż tak wysokie.
    This article presents results of the landscape naturalness level analysis of the Gdansk-Gdynia-Sopot Metropolitan Area. The study refers to the municipal administrative units and also the hexagonal grid as test fields of the visual statistical analysis. The results show relationship in which the landscape naturalness level increases proportionally to the distance from the core of the metropolitan area. However, the existence of major natural barriers such as high terrain elevation and large forest complexes, result in relatively small differences of anthropogenic transformation level between the core and the outskirts of the metropolitan area.

    Opis:
    The dialogue between science and religion held by Józef Życiński presents a vision, in which the two disciplines exist complementarily and complete each other. In his opinion the basis of the dialogue is a reliable methodology, in which the very fundamental issue is methodological naturalism. Życiński suggests that apparent conflicts stem from incorrect interpretation of the Holy Bible or fundamentalist understanding of science. He therefore provides the right, in his opinion, interpretation of the Book of Bible and the Book of Nature. Józef Życiński demonstrates that in Christianity we deal with affirmation of rationality. This, among others, is the reason we should talk about Christian sources and inspirations of contemporary science.
    Dialog nauka-religia, prowadzony przez Życińskiego ukazuje wizję, w której komplementarnie istnieją, dopełniają się dziedziny nauki i religii. Podstawą do dialogu jest solidna metodologia, w której kluczowym zagadnieniem jest naturalizm metodologiczny. Życiński sugeruje, iż pozorne konflikty są wyrazem niewłaściwej interpretacji Pisma Świętego, bądź fundamentalistycznych sposobów rozumienia nauki. Daje zatem właściwą, jego zdaniem, interpretację Księgi Pisma Świętego i Księgi Przyrody. Ukazuje, iż w chrześcijaństwie mamy do czynienia z afirmacją racjonalności. Między innymi to powoduje, iż należy mówić o chrześcijańskich źródłach i inspiracjach współczesnej nauki.

    W artykule omawiana jest kwestia stylu i gramatyki jako istotnych składników, zapewniających naturalność brzmienia tłumaczonego tekstu specjalistycznego. Kwestie stylistyczno-gramatyczne w ujęciu tekstowym (dla różnych typów tekstów) mogłyby stać się podstawą do stworzenia gramatycznej stylistyki porównawczej dwóch języków w jej aspekcie translatorycznym. W tym układzie jednostką przekładu specjalistycznego byłaby kategoria tekstowa. W artykule przedstawiona została historia rozwoju pojęcia oraz metodologia analizy kategorii tekstowych na przykładzie kategorii inpersonalności w językach polskim i rosyjskim.
    In teaching of specialized translation not only terminology, but also stylistics plays great role. And if terminological problems are the central object in the dydactisc of specialized translation, then stylystic matters are regarded as peripheral. It appears however, that stylystics could be the key to the naturalness of translation, especially if it concerns translations from native language into foreign one. I don’t mean here traditional functional stylystics, but text stylystics and text grammar in comparative and – first of all – translatological dimension. Assuming textual character of specialized trasnaltion, I propose including into the model of specialized traslation such a translational unit as a text category. Due to this approach translation of specialized texts complies with contemporary text-oriented translation studies. The dynamics of the term in Russian linguistics is analyzed, the author also proposes to develop on this base comparative stylistic grammar for translation purposes.

    Článek se zabývá hovorovými spisovnými projevy v médiích teoreticky. Uvádí příklady hovorových spisovných prostředků na jednotlivých rovinách jazykového systému. Obecně se popisuje produkce hovorových spisovných textů, kdy se protíná přirozenost a odpovědnost mluvčího. Konkrétně se charakterizuje tato produkce v složité komunikační situaci mluvených médií. „Dobré řečové vzory”, které jsou potřebné s obnovením společenských elit po roce 1989, jsou v médiích důležité pro nejširší vrstvy obyvatelstva a měly by být častěji než dnes předmětem lingvistického výzkumu.
    The article deals theoretically with colloquial standard discourses in media. It adduces examples of colloquial standard means on the individual levels of the language system. The production of colloquial standard texts, in which naturalness together with responsibility of the speaker play an important role, is generally described. This production is characterised in a complicated situation of spoken media. „Good speech models”, necessary after restoration of social elites after 1989, are important in media for the broad strata of population and should become a subject of linguistic research more often.
