    Opis:
    In the article there was represented the example of a project concerning dehydration of agricultural lands located in Rzozów in the area of Skawina commune, administrative district of Kraków in Małopolska, around 16 km long distant to the west – south from the city centre of Kraków. The analised land is being under the disadvantageous hydro and air conditions, what results in the signifi cant decrease of grounds quality and plants crops as the consequence. In order to improve the quality of grounds and dehydrate the excess of water, there was designed a dehydration system consisted of open drainage ditches and underground drainage network. The aim of those operations is to improve the ground structure quality and it’s access to air, thus to increase the plants crops from the presented area.There were lead numerous calculations such as hydrological calculations, hydraulic calculations in order to define type and height of drainage ditches consolidation and the height of collector mouths over the ditch bottom, calculations of drains spacing and the excavation capacity.As the final effect, it was assumed to excavate two drainage ditches, one on the northern side and one on the southern side of the area. The network of drains and collector connected to the ditches is to drain off the spare water from the considered land.

    There is a lot that we can read and speak about ecology today, but also about its crisis. Searching for reasons of environmental degradation we can notice the problem of people’s desire to possess and dominate over creation. Such an attitude of the man is denying the will of God, which was presented to people at the very beginning of their existence: God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground." Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food…” (Genesis 1, 28-29). A new chance for the man and the created world is a family, where the man can experience the presence of God and pursue his vocation of love to the created world. A family and joint actions undertaken give the possibility of changing not only the destroyed nature, but the man as well. The family is the prime performer of God’s command to care about the created world. That is the man living in a family, according to the God’s will, who is supposed to rule over the earth in a responsible way and with love. That is why it so important for a family nowadays, in times of ecological crisis, to live ecologically. Healthy lifestyle together with respect for the whole creation make up a platform for understanding among people and a chance for appropriate implementation of God’s “ecological command”. To fulfill obediently God’s command of human service towards natural environment it is necessary to know what contemporary ecological threats are. One of the ways to protect nature, among many concerns for the work of God’s creation, is an environmental attitude towards procreation, which, in the family, reflects a servant attitude towards others, an attitude which is focused on giving and not on possessing or using. Man’s responsibility for his family „here and now”, but also for future generations that are going to possess the earth with all its stock – good and bad, is enormous. It is all the more necessary to form people’s sense of responsibility for preserving creation, scrupulous environmental attitude and knowledge about possible forms of family involvement in the affairs of ecology. It is necessary to retreat from the way of economical splendor and change the mode of thinking and acting in order to fulfill the assumptions. It is also necessary to realize that the possibility of the cooperation with God in the creative plan of the earth is God’s gift, great privilege for man.

    The changes in the global economic and political system in the 20th century and the cessation of some and the emergence of new economic, ecological and social crises have resulted in a return to the concept of the doctrine of the social responsibility of the organisation. The change in the classical priorities of the economy for ones of corporate social responsibility included issues of natural and social environments. The environments are the hosts for organisations that produce and distribute wealth and services. The revival of the corporate social responsibility trend in the 21st century appeared due to international social organisations, which recognised the prosperity of semi-peripheral and peripheral societies as important to follow the well-being of the core countries. According to the doctrine of corporate social responsibility, it is possible to restore the economy of basic ethical values and human rights. The model of corporate social responsibility was proposed by Richard E. Smith. In turn, Milton Friedman talks about the responsibility of profit. However, sustainable development requires the perception of different management solutions. The organisations have their headquarters mainly in cities. And the city is also an organisation. In this context, a thesis was made: the city as a business centre is an organisation aspiring to be competitive on the global market; the city is a managed organisation to ensure the well-being of its inhabitants; the city is obliged to adopt a socially responsible attitude. Therefore, social responsibility of the city required a general definition. Such a definition was proposed in this paper. Individual sections provide the theoretical justification for specific practices and the understanding of the importance of key terms and concepts, as well as the need for further research on the model of cities social responsibility. The issues of ethics, creation and distribution of wealth, cooperation with stakeholders and sustainable development are the basis of cities social responsibility.
