    If a control system contains a few digital chains of treatment of information with different periods of quantum, its research is strongly complicated. In the case of rational commensurable periods of quantum transformation of a multirate system it is possible to design an equivalent one-time system with enhanceable dimension. The general going is offered to the design of an equivalent one-time system, allowing to transform the vectorial-matrix model of the initial multirate system into a vectorial-matrix one-time model of the system, characteristic for vectorial-matrix models of multidimensional continuous systems. Due to that, it becomes possible, in principle, to transfer of methods of analysis of continuous multidimensional systems onto the class of digital-analogue multirate systems.

    The unique characteristic of a repetitive processes is a series of sweeps, termed passes, through a set of dynamics defined over a finite duration. On each pass an output, termed the pass profile is produced which acts as on forcing function, and hence contributes to, the dynamics of the next pass profile. This leads to the possibility that the output, i.e. the sequence of pass profiles, will contain oscillations that increase in amplitude in the pass-to-pass direction. Such behavior cannot be controlled by application of standard linear systems control laws and instead they must be treated as two-dimensional (2D) systems where information propagation in two independent directions, termed passto-pass and along the pass respectively, is the defining feature. Physical examples of such processes include long-wall coal cutting and metal rolling. In this paper, stability analysis and control law design algorithms are developed for discrete linear repetitive processes where a plane, or rectangle, of information is propagated in the pass-to-pass direction. The possible use of such a model in the control of distributed parameter systems has been investigated in previous work and this paper considers an extension to allow for uncertainty in the model description.

    In this paper we present and discuss a new class of singular fractional systems in a multidimensional state space described by the Roesser continuous-time models. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the asymptotic stability and admissibility by the use of linear matrix inequalities are established. All the obtained results are simulated by some numerical examples to show the applicability and accuracy of our approach.

    Continuous multidimensional systems described by partial differential equations can be represented by discrete systems in a number of ways. However, the relations between the various forms of continuous, semi-continuous, and discrete multidimensional systems do not fit into an established framework like in the case of one-dimensional systems. This paper contributes to the development of such a framework in the case of multidimensional systems. First, different forms of partial differential equations of physics-based systems are presented. Secondly, it is shown how the different forms of continuous multidimensional systems lead to certain discrete models in current use (finite-difference models, multidimensional wave digital filters, transfer function models). The links between these discrete models are established on the basis of the respective continuous descriptions. The presentation is based on three examples of physical systems (heat flow, transmission of electrical signals, acoustic wave propagation).

    We show how to use the extension and torsion functors in order to compute the torsion submodule of a differential module associated with a multidimensional control system. In particular, we show that the concept of the weak primeness of matrices corresponds to the torsion-freeness of a certain module.

    A model of 2D continuous-discrete linear system is considered whose input disturbances are unknown but bounded by known ellipsoid. The formula for a support function of reachability set of this system is presented. A method of construction of ellipsoid limiting reachability set is proposed and illustrated with an example.

    The most frequently analyzed aspects of diversification and dynamics of tax systems are their structure and its impact on economic parameters such as economic growth or unemployment. In this paper, however, attention has been paid to the compliance of tax systems with tax principles. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to assess the functioning of the tax systems of selected EU countries in relation to the tax principles that were proposed by Adam Smith and for years have been the subject of extensive discussion. For each of the four classic tax principles, measures were proposed to assess their fulfillment. This allowed us to create a ranking of EU countries in terms of fulfilling these principles. A synthetic development measure method was used for this purpose.
    Najczęściej analizowanym aspektem zróżnicowania i dynamiki systemów podatkowych jest ich struktura oraz wpływ na takie parametry ekonomiczne, jak wzrost gospodarczy czy poziom bezrobocia. W niniejszym artykule zwrócono uwagę natomiast na przestrzeganie zasad podatkowych, które od czasów A. Smitha stanowią instytucjonalne ramy opodatkowania. Stąd też celem opracowania jest ocena funkcjonowania systemów podatkowych wybranych państw UE w odniesieniu do formułowanych w literaturze zasad podatkowych. Dla każdej z czterech klasycznych zasad podatkowych zaproponowano miary pozwalające na ocenę ich wypełniania. Pozwoliło to stworzyć ranking krajów Unii Europejskiej z punktu widzenia wypełniania tych zasad. Wykorzystano w tym celu syntetyczny miernik rozwoju.

    This article presents a method of multilevel hierarchical analysis for managing transportation systems – Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). The task of multilevel planning it is essential to connect various links of the system. To make decisions a model of hierarchical structure has been applied as quite frequently actions in one point of the system affect results and actions taken in its other constituent. The article presents a method of estimation of the system parameters for the task of prediction. In the article the author is trying to prove that to select appropriate parameters to the model a weak correlation of independent features at simultaneous high correlation of these features with a dependent variable is necessary. All parameters necessary to solve decision problems must be random. A proposed model represents a compromise between estimation of the model in each group of routes separately and for all units of observations without taking into consideration grouping of routes.
