    Multicultural policy has recently been undergoing a marked crisis and is subject to wide criticism. In the light of recent terrorist attacks it is often highlighted that the reason for such situations might be too much openness towards foreigners. Most European countries are changing their immigration and integration policies limiting their social security and restricting the possibilities of an influx of immigrants. Sweden, which is perceived as one of the most open and tolerant states in Europe also faces new challenges concerning the future of its multicultural policy. The crisis in tolerance towards foreigners is quite visible and it is obvious that the social moods in this state are evolving. Therefore, the aim of the article is to analyze changes in the attitude towards Swedish immigration and its integration policy in the light of the attack on the Charlie Hebdo weekly offices.

    The article describes migration policy in Sweden and changes within immigration and integration policies. Sweden uses multicultural model which is based on cherishing both cultures, the culture of majority as well as the migrant´s original culture. Very important part of the integrational process is education, especially language and culture learning. Adults are offered special free courses, children study Swedish language and culture at school as part of the curriculum.

    The aim of the article is to present the problem of intercultural dialog in the context of territorial sovereignty respect. In detail, author describes the main reasons for ethnic separatism and its influence on society. The article highlights examples of separatism manifestations around the globe and determines its main typologies. Significantly, the quantitative and qualitative markers for evaluating separatist movement are determined. The focus revolves around the differences between the ethnic, religious and racial separatism. It should be capitalized, that in the process of conflict it’s relevant to depict the role of stereotypes, phobias, labeling and prejudice. Furthermore, accelerating globalization processes testify to the notion of intercultural competencies, enabling research stakeholders to manage cultural diversity more effectively and monitor development according to recommended measurements of success. It’s hard to deny that without such competency model, misunderstandings and stereotypes rooted in identity are conflict capable. Moreover, the authors intend to systemize and propose the strategy of ethnic policy that can be done in order to avoid any of cross-cultural conflicts.

    This article presents the role of the language policy in the multicultural und multilingual Switzerland. The cultural und linguistic differences are one of the main characteristics of the Swiss Confederation so that the Swiss national identity is even defined as the unity in the diversity. The coexistence of the different cultural und linguistic communities signifies not only the social enrichment but it is also connected with the various and complex problems. The language policy makes it possible to solve at least partially these problems and contributes in this way besides the preserving of the cultural diversity to the social peace between the particular cultural and linguistic communities.

    Opis:
    Celem artykułu jest próba interpretacji nowego pluralistycznego typu cywilizacji oraz właściwości współczesnego społeczeństwa wielokulturowego w kontekście przestrzeni edukacyjnej. Na gruncie tego zaproponowano zastąpienie pojęcia edukacji wielokulturowej terminem edukacji polietnicznej, która skierowana jest na harmonizację wzajemnego stosunku między etnicznymi lub narodowymi społeczeństwami, a w ich granicach – między różnymi grupami społeczno-kulturowymi, mającymi różną identyczność kulturową (polityczną, regionalną, płciową, religijną, wiekową, profesjonalną i in.). Zaproponowano i uzasadniono nową architektonikę edukacji wielokulturowej, w centrum której znajduje się życiowy paradygmat jednostki. W związku z tym udowadnia się pięć najważniejszych strategii metodologicznych edukacji wielokulturowej, które są jej punktem orientacyjnym oraz źródłem życiowym.W artykule zostały także zarysowane problemy implementacji projektu edukacji wielokulturowej na Ukrainie, które utrudniają harmonizację życia społecznego oraz procesy dialogu międzykulturowego i porozumiewania się.
    The article presents an attempt to interpret a new pluralistic type of civilization and the features of modern multicultural society in the context of educational space. On this basis, the substitution has been suggested of the concept of multicultural education with the term poli-ethnic education, which aims at harmonizing the relations between ethnic or national communities. Within thier limits, this refers also to different socio-cultural groups, with different cultural (political, regional, sexual, religious, age-related, professional, etc.) identities. A new architectonics of multicultural education is suggested and grounded, with a life-giving personality paradigm in the centre. In this regard, five major methodological principles of multicultural education, which serve as its guidelines and major sources, are justified.The issues of the implementation of the multicultural education project in Ukraine which inhibit the harmonization of public life and the process of intercultural dialogue and understanding are outlined.
