Opis:
The objective of the study was to analyse of measurement of moving objects by means of the Total Station (TS) method and Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS). The subject of the tests was the “Polinka” gondola cable car over the Odra river in Wrocław. Research covered the basic and control measurements. The results of observations of suspension ropes’ deflection of the cable car in kinematical state were compared for various degrees of loading. During the motion of the gondola, the shape of the pull and supporting rope is subject to constant shifts. TS measurements are restricted solely to registering interim positioning of the points of pull lines (measurement of static objects). Laser scanner measurements may reveal changes in the location of many points (i.e. drive lines, catenaries or carriages) within a unit of time. The tests were designed to show whether it is possible to capture the shifts in geometry of the moving object (mainly by means of the TLS methods - in the course of constant vibrating of lines and during the movement of gondolas). The analyses indicated that it is possible to capture the changes of geometry by means of the TLS method, however, upon strictly specified measurement conditions.

Opis:
This study analyzed the usage of data of track geometry measurement for railway infrastructure maintenance processing support and estimated its influence on railway infrastructure maintenance decision-making. Especially, the approach assessment of the influence of track geometry monitoring on railway infrastructure processing. The well-timed maintenance of the arrangement of railway tracks in allowable conditions is sufficient for the smooth and steady running of rail vehicles. The mechanism of track gauge widening during exploitation is usually gradual and relatively long-lasting. When are not detected in a timely manner, the final track failures often arise under the effect of additional factors, such as surpassed train speed limit, poorly maintained and functioning running gear of a rail vehicle, misalignment of rails, and extreme dynamical effects. A questionnaire considering the influence of the application of track geometry monitoring was formulated. An expert review was completed in order to perform a comparative analysis of the features of track geometry monitoring with the greatest influence on railway infrastructure maintenance processing. The data collected from respondents were processed using a multi-criterion estimation method, especially an interactive fuzzy linear assignment method. Finally, basic conclusions and considerations are given.

Opis:
Monitoring systems using automated electronic total stations are an important element of safety control of many engineering objects. In order to ensure the appropriate credibility of acquired data, it is necessary that instruments (total stations in most of the cases) used for measurements meet requirements of measurement accuracy, as well as the stability of instrument axis system geometry. With regards to the above, it is expedient to conduct quality control of data acquired using electronic total stations in the context of performed measurement procedures. This paper presents results of research conducted at the Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography at Warsaw University of Technology investigating the stability of “basic” error values (collimation, zero location for V circle, inclination), for two types of automatic total stations: TDA 5005 and TCRP 1201+. Research provided also information concerning the influence of temperature changes upon the stability of investigated instrument’s optical parameters. Results are presented in graphical analytic technique. Final conclusions propose methods, which allow avoiding negative results of measuring tool-set geometry changes during conducting precise deformation monitoring measurements.

Opis:
It is shown that modern geometry cars, flaw detector cars and other track test cars provide reliable control of the technical condition of all hauls of the railroad track at “certain intervals of time”. Their number is limited and therefore “continuous monitoring” of all hauls is almost impossible. At the same time, in real life, due to the impact of various factors, such as seismic processes, certain changes take place even a day after control. The authors consider one option for continuous monitoring of the beginning of changes in the technical condition of the track using intelligent tools, which allow one, by analyzing the useful signal and the noise from the soil vibrations caused by the rolling stock, to create informative attributes for identifying the technical condition of the track. The application of traditional technologies of correlation and spectral analysis and other methods for this purpose does not allow ensuring adequacy of the control results. This paper proposes a technology for extracting and analyzing useful vibration signals, the noise of vibration signals and the relationship between them. The estimates of both correlation and spectral characteristics of the useful signal and the noise are used as the main carriers of diagnostic information. Due to the simplicity and the reliability of implementation of the proposed technical tools, they can be easily installed in one of the cars of all rolling stocks, providing control of the beginning of changes in the technical condition of the track during their movement in all hauls
