W artykule przedstawiono najważniejsze typy izolatorów przepu-stowych stosowanych w transformatorach. Omówiono procesy degradacji i zawilgacania izolacji celulozowej. Badano zjawisko bubble effect na modelach izolatorów przepustowych typu OIP i RBP.
One among the most dangerous effects that causes failure of a power transformer is the bubble effect (b.e.), i.e. a rapid release of water vapor from cellulose insulation after exceeding a critical temperature and a critical moisture content. The b.e. results in a rapid increase of tank pressure, which may thereafter cause an explosion and fire. The authors put forth the hypothesis that b.e. can possibly take place in the insulation of OIP (Oil Impregnated Paper) and RBP (Resin Bonded Paper) type of bushings. Development of the bubble effect was investigated on the models of OIP and RBP bushing insulators. In both types of models mineral oil and synthetic ester MIDEL 7131 were used. It was stated that b.e. may occur in both types of insulators, creating the possibility of serious failure of the transformer. Metal screens do not restrict the development of b.e., but they change the direction of water vapor migration. In the model, bubbles moved along metallic screens until they reached the edges of paper insulation layers. Also the presence of resin does not limit the development of b.e. It was shown that there existed a correlation between the bubbling initiation temperature and the water content in paper insulation. All the characteristics are presented together in Fig. 7. It can be seen that the model of the RBP bushing insulator has much lower initiation temperature of b.e. than that of the OIP bushing insulator. It is a negative feature of the RBP bushing insulator. - Źródło:
