    Warehousing is a labour-intensive process, requiring warehouse operators to use different methods of work and various equipment and to be in constant motion. During this process, various types of warehousing errors can occur, which can be reduced with the introduction of a suitable strategy. A prerequisite for this is to have sufficient knowledge of the specifics of error prevention in the warehouse process that are mainly linked to how warehouse operators perceive the usefulness of modern technology, the introduction of modern work processes and their own accountability in work. This study aims to develop a strategy that takes into account these aspects and is an ideal solution for the prevention of potential errors in the warehouse process of the company.

    Opis:
    Purpose: Identification of the barriers and determinants of the use of autonomous robots in e-commerce. Design/methodology/approach: The research procedure included a review of Polish and foreign literature and survey research. The paper presents the results of a Delphi study among 25 experts of courier services. Findings: The use of autonomous robots may be one of the solutions that will contribute to the improvement of the functionality of processes in enterprises. The process of implementing autonomous robots is associated with building a relationship based on trust between the user and technology Research limitations/implications: Limitations of the conducted research reflects to only one Delphi round. Practical implications: The results of the study may be helpful for transport companies and courier companies in improving the process of delivering parcels. They can be used for elaboration policy, tools and instrument for the purposes of limitation identified under the study main barriers of the application of autonomous robots in the e-commerce. Originality/value: The presented research and conclusions provide practical tips for transport and delivery companies on how to use autonomous robots to improve the process of delivering parcels in the e-commerce sector, based on the results obtained from the Delphi study.

    The ageing society and the necessity to meet the needs (including transport ones) of elderly people are a challenge for an increasing number of countries, including the EU Member States and Poland. Different types of modern ICT solutions are being proposed as a way of improving the meeting of the needs of elderly people in order to prevent their social exclusion. The growing popularity of solutions and services that use information and communication technologies (mainly the Internet and mobile applications) can also be observed in transport services and is perceived as a means to better meet transport needs. The aim of the article is to examine the extent to which seniors use ICT solutions to meet their transport needs when, for example, obtaining access to a car or car ride. A literature review, statistical data analysis and results of primary survey studies carried out on a sample of U3A students were used. The results of the analysis do not allow generalization on the entire population of elderly people but point to some interesting conclusions. For instance, at least one of the considered solutions (e.g. sharing travel by car as a driver or passenger) was used by almost two-thirds of those that responded using the Internet. Also, the solutions given were rated rather positively by the respondents in terms of their usefulness and ease of use. Those findings, apart from indicating further directions of research, allow for a cautious statement that these types of solutions can actually serve to better meet the transport needs of seniors.

    Tematem niniejszego artykułu jest zestawienie rozwiązań projektowych, które wpływają do poprawę dostępności światła naturalnego w wielorodzinnej architekturze mieszkaniowej. Rola światła naturalnego jest szczególnie istotna w przestrzeni służącej odpoczynkowi. Jedną z podstawowych cech architektury mieszkaniowej jest funkcja rekreacyjna i to w ramach tej przestrzeni człowiek ma okazję zregenerować siły. Autor porusza kwestie związane z zapewnieniem komfortowego nasłonecznienia w pokojach dziennych oraz nocnych jak również odpowiednie usytuowanie części półprywatnych, takich jak balkony, loggie i tarasy, na przykładzie zrealizowanych obiektów we Wrocławiu, Warszawie oraz w oparciu o projekt koncepcyjny osiedla przyszłości dla generacji Y „Divercity Apartment” zlokalizowanego w Poznaniu.
    The subject of current article is comparison of design solutions which influence on the improvement of natural light accessibility in the multi-storey residential dwelling. The exposition to the natural light as well as the role of sunlight in the context of health and human mood do not have to be explained. The role of natural light is particularly significant in the leisure area. One of the basic features of residential architecture is the recreational function and an opportunity for a person to regenerate in this area. The author raises the subjects connected with guaranteeing the comfortable insolation in living and night zones as well as the appropriate location of half-private spaces such as balconies, loggias and terraces based on the example of objects accomplished in Wroclaw, Warsaw and the conceptual project of future residential area for Y generation, “Divercity Apartment”, located in Poznan.

    Posadowienie różnego rodzaju konstrukcji inżynierskich jest kluczowym elementem każdego obiektu inżynierskiego, gdyż stanowi jedyne połączenie z podłożem gruntowym oraz zapewnia stabilność i bezpieczeństwo w trakcie eksploatacji budowli. Projektując daną konstrukcję należy dobrać odpowiednie rozwiązanie posadowienia, które zapewni odpowiednią stabilność w napotkanych warunkach gruntowych. W tym artykule przedstawiono najnowsze rozwiązania posadowień konstrukcji inżynierskich, które zostały poddane analizie i badaniom na przestrzeni kilku ostatnich lat.
