Opis:: Today's crisis response operations carried out outside the country are located in the dynamic global environment. Their multinational character resulted in a revaluation of views on security and defense, in the context of the use and operation of the armed forces. A large number of crisis response operations also contributed to the number of entities involved in the military and non-military tasks. Changes in the global security environment, the interplay between policy and foreign countries mean that the strategy of the Armed Forces can not be equated only with the art of distribution and use of military means. What's more, there is no one correct way of planning activities of the Armed Forces operating in an alliance or a coalition of multinational operations. Globalization has imposed certain ways of conduct and respond to threats.

W pracy analizie poddana została struktura sądów wojskowych i ich właściwość na podstawie norm konstytucyjnych oraz ustawowych tamtego okresu.
The article applies to the military jurisdiction in the Republic of Poland in period 1918–1939. Authors present the process of shaping of military courts after gaining independence by Poland. In the article the structure and jurisdiction of military courts were analysed. The analysis conducted by the authors were based on the provisions of the constitution and the acts applicable to researched issues.

Opis:: This paper sets out to identify the key elements of Polish social structure that are critical to the manpower of the Polish Armed Forces. So far, there has been little discussion, in either the literature or ongoing public polemics, regarding the dependence of the Armed Forces on the shape of the social structure in the context of ensuring state security.This work is predominantly based on the analysis of available literature: scientific articles, legal acts and the results from the survey research conducted by specialised institutions, in particular, Polish Central Statistical Office. On the basis of the presented analysis, it appears that it is the current Polish social structure that constitutes the major problem in the context of the insufficient personnel numbers in the Polish Armed Forces. The present state is below the expectations and needs of the Polish Army, mainly due to the lack of young people with special technical education. The earnings in the private sector by far outweigh the remuneration levels offered in the military, which effectively deters young people from undertaking service for the benefit of state security.On the basis of the presented analysis, it appears that it is the current Polish social structure that constitutes the major problem in the context of the insufficient personnel numbers in the Polish Armed Forces. Opis:: This study presents the vehicle classifications existing in various documents: „The Encyclopaedia of military Technology”, The Polish Norm PN-V-01002: „Armoured Equipment. Parameters and comparative ratios. Terminology and classification”, Structure of Car Transportation of Polish Armed Forces, The Defence Equipment Classification, The Allied Research Procedures Publication AVTP 00-07 „Military Vehicles Categories” (STANAG 4357 and 4358), The Common Procurement Vocabulary, established by the European Commission) and Fixed Assets Classification. The authors of the article take note of the inaccuracies in existing classifications and point out the necessity to create new, logical error free classification. The conception presented in the article is an attempt to put this situation in order. Presented conception of classification vehicles used in the army, primarily as weapons carries, necessary combat and logistics equipment, and also as means of transport and protection of sub-units of infantry, in order to eliminate chaos in military vehicle nomenclature used in documents such us: acts, regulations, norms and instructions. The conception characterizes certain level of generalization. For further detailed division can be used criteria named in the article: general criteria and particular criteria.

Opis:: In this work, an attempt was made to apply laser surface technology for enhancement of the properties and strengthening the material with addition of ceramic phases in the form of silicon and tungsten carbide particles, leading to a remarkable increase in hardness. Thanks to rapid cooling caused by heat being transferred to the cold substrate, an advantageous, fine-grained structure develops, showing higher gradient morphology; furthermore, the surface layers obtained with laser alloying offer greater heat-resistance and anti-corrosion properties, as well as high wear resistance in addition to the aforementioned hardness, which increases by as much as 15% for the AlSi9Cu4 alloy compared with the alloy after standard heat treatment. Such an increase in the values of the mechanical properties makes it possible to use the investigated alloy in applications including, e.g., recyclable thermally exposed surfaces, such as pistons in internal combustion engines, which enables further decrease in the weight and the thermal expansion with simultaneous increase in the strength, reduction in fuel consumption, and increase in carrying load, speed, and range, which generates the need for further research into the area.

Opis:: This article describes a new method of evaluating the stiffness of structure of a vehicle with respect to its resistance to mine explosion. This method allows for the assessment of the structure of a wide range of tracked and wheeled vehicles in the early stage of the construction process, considering such factors as mass and stiffness of the hull and ground clearance. By applying this method it is possible to assess the risk of lower limb injury for every vehicle occupant, caused by local deformation of the vehicle.
W artykule przedstawiono nową metodę oceny sztywności struktury pojazdu pod kątem odporności na eksplozję miny. Metoda ta umożliwia ocenę konstrukcji szerokiej gamy pojazdów gąsienicowych i kołowych na wczesnym etapie procesu konstruowania pojazdu uwzględniając takie czynniki jak masa i sztywność kadłuba oraz prześwit pod pojazdem. Wynikiem zastosowania metody jest ocena zagrożenia kończyn dolnych wskutek lokalnej deformacji pojazdu dla każdego członka załogi.

Inspiracją do przeprowadzenia takich badań porównawczych jest refleksja wybitnego kanonisty Gianfranco Ghirlandy, która znalazła się na stronie internetowej Kongregacji Doktryny Wiary, jako półoficjalny komentarz do konstytucji apostolskiej Anglicanorum coetibus, przez którą Benedykt XVI ustanowił ramy prawne dla funkcjonowania ordynariatów personalnych dla byłych anglikanów.
This study has been inspired by the intuition that the concept of personal ordinariate can be applied to various situations in the Church and seems to be very promising for the pastoral care in many exceptional situations. In fact, this juridical structure laid base for the pastoral care for the military and later was used to offer former Anglicans the possibility of entering full communion with the Catholic Church without losing their own customs and traditions. The article is divided into three parts. The first outlines the development of the concept of legal personal structures in the 20th century, especially from the 2nd Vatican Council. In the second part there are going to be presented major elements of the Military Ordinariate that were to be later used in the personal ordinariate for the former Anglicans. In the third part one will find key differences and new legal solutions designed exclusively for the personal ordinariate for those coming from Anglicanism. The study shows the significance of the juridical structures of personal ordinariate that in the future can be applied to another new pastoral needs in the changing world.

Opis:: In the paper the friction film formation analysis of the new composite bearings based on powder nickel alloy EP975 with solid lubricant CaF2 powder after tribological tests has been presented. Dense films are formed during friction of contact surfaces for tribological tests at high speed (or temperature) and loads. Such films consist of chemical elements of friction pair and air oxygen. Friction film is a determining factor for the antifriction material. It is connected with the nature of friction films. The films can minimize friction and ensure stability of a friction unit. It depends on the combination of chemical elements and oxygen in the films formed. The chemical composition of friction films not only allows ex-plaining the mechanism of their formation, but also gives the possibility to forecast and control the functional properties of bearing materials in wide range of printing machines under operating conditions. New composite bearings can be successfully used in the military equipment nodes, such as sliding divices nodes of artillery weapons.

Opis:: Podstawowym celem pracy jest przedstawienie sposobu adaptacji konstrukcji typowego mostu składanego w celu jego wykorzystania, jako obiekt stały. Zaproponowano przykład adaptacji mostu składanego DMS-65, różniący się od jego dotychczasowych, modułowych rozwiązań. Opracowano model w programie komputerowym dla przęsła mostu o rozpiętości od 18 do 33 metrów. Zaproponowana adaptacja konstrukcji pozwoliła na uzyskanie maksymalnej rozpiętości mostu - 30 metrów, dla której spełniony jest stan graniczny nośności i stan graniczny użytkowalności. Podsumowując zwrócono uwagę na konieczności prowadzenia dalszych badań tego typu konstrukcji, w oparciu o bardziej złożone modele numeryczne.
The primary objective of this work is to show how to adapt a typical constructions of folding military bridges to the solid object. Presents examples of the rational adaptation of military folding bridges DMS-65, which differs from its past, modular solutions. Created a computer model for the bridge spans the range from 18 to 33 meters. The proposed adaptation of the structure allowed to obtain the maximum span of the bridge - 30 meters which is true limit state bearing capacity and deflection structure. In conclusion highlights the need for further research of this type of construction, based on the more complex numerical models

Opis:: Dla ustroju nośnego wybranego samochodu ciężarowo - osobowego wysokiej mobilności (wojskowy odpowiednik samochodu terenowego) wykonano analizę sygnałów odpowiedzi, wykorzystując w tym celu zmierzone wartości przyspieszeń. Wykorzystano metodę Operating Deflection Shape (ODS) nazywaną również Running Mode [1]. Wyznaczony zbiór częstości poddano analizie, poszukując częstości drgań własnych skrętnych za pomocą metody Peak Picking.
The analysis was conducted for underframe of off-road military vehicle making use of acceleration data as an output signal. The Operating Deflection Shape metod was used. The natural torsional frequencies were pointed in the set of frequencies of output band with use of Peak Picking technique.

Opis:: Artykuł przedstawia uwarunkowania tworzenia Wojsk Obrony Terytorialnej (WOT). Opis problemowy nawiązuje do doświadczeń w tym zakresie, wskazuje na postawy normatywne i prace analityczno-projektowe traktujące o tej formacji oraz określa jej znaczenie w Systemie Obronnym Państwa (SOP). Wskazane zostały też relacje problematyki WOT z przedmiotem badań, zwłaszcza dyscypliny nauk o obronności, a w niej ze sztuką wojenną, gdzie umiejscowione są działania tych wojsk. W części końcowej artykułu przedstawiono elementy koncepcji organizacyjno-funkcjonalnych tworzenia potencjału WOT. Uogólnienia syntetyczne i oceny prognostyczne zawarte zostały w podsumowaniu, w którym zaakcentowano związki z projektami technicznymi (sprzęt, uzbrojenie).
The article presents the conditions necessary for setting up of Territorial Defense Forces. The problem’s description relates to experiences in this field, indicates a normative approach as well as analytical and project stipulating studies dealing with this type of forces, pointing-out its meaning within State Defense System. Additionally relations between the TDF problematic and the research subject have been shown, especially with regard to defense studies such as the art of war, within which the functioning of these forces is incorporated. The final part of the article presents the elements of organizational and functional concepts of TDF potential creation. Synthetic generalization as well as prognostic assessment have been comprised in the summary that also accented on related technical projects (equipment, armament).
