Opis:
The transition to smart mining has significantly increased the requirements for training modern mining engineers, this necessitating digitalization of this process. Based on scientific research, virtual and augmented reality technology are the most effective and safe. The article presents methods for using virtual and augmented reality technology in training mining engineers. The methods are successfully implemented in laboratories of Kryvyi Rih National University (Ukraine) and have been proven effective during distance learning in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and the russian military aggression against Ukraine. Nevertheless, further scientific research is needed to introduce modern digital technologies into mining engineers’ training at universities in order to form a competitive and competent specialist.
Przejście na inteligentne wydobycie znacznie zwiększyło wymagania dotyczące szkolenia nowoczesnych inżynierów górnictwa, co wymaga cyfryzacji tego procesu. Bazując na badaniach naukowych, technologia wirtualnej i rozszerzonej rzeczywistości jest najskuteczniejsza i najbezpieczniejsza. W artykule przedstawiono metody wykorzystania technologii wirtualnej i rozszerzonej rzeczywistości w szkoleniu inżynierów górnictwa. Metody są z powodzeniem wdrażane w laboratoriach Krzyworoskiego Uniwersytetu Narodowego (Ukraina) i okazały się skuteczne podczas nauczania na odległość w kontekście pandemii COVID-19 i rosyjskiej agresji militarnej na Ukrainę. Niemniej jednak potrzebne są dalsze badania naukowe, aby wprowadzić nowoczesne technologie cyfrowe do kształcenia inżynierów górnictwa na uczelniach w celu ukształtowania konkurencyjnego i kompetentnego specjalisty.

Artykuł ukazuje problematykę związaną z przygotowaniem zawodowym, edukacją pozaszkolną oraz praktyką w przedsiębiorstwach francuskich uczestników Wielkiej Emigracji we Francji. Opisano kursy wojskowe, naukę języka francuskiego oraz praktykę w zakładach zbrojeniowych i rzemieślniczych. W artykule podjęto analizę indywidualnych przypadków byłych żołnierzy, podoficerów i oficerów powstańczych. Na podstawie kwerendy źródłowej stwierdzono, że wybierano profesje, które dawały nadzieję długoletniego zatrudnienia, jak zegarmistrzostwo, szewstwo, krawiectwo, farbiarstwo, cukrownictwo, drukarstwo i zecerstwo.
The article is devoted to the issues of professional preparation, extracurricular education and apprenticeship in French enterprises of the Poles members of the Great Emigration to France. It describes military courses, French language lessons and internships in armaments and craft enterprises. The article analyses individual cases of veterans, non-commissioned officers and officers of the November Uprising. Source research made it possible to establish that emigrants chose professions offering the hope of long-term employment, such as watchmaking, shoemaking, tailoring, dyeing, sugar-making, printing and typesetting.

Opis:
The article undertakes an analysis of ethical risk factors, understood as contexts for the emergence of unethical behavior, attitudes and modes of conduct among representatives of the uniformed services. Identification of the mentioned factors, made on the basis of meta-analysis of empirical studies and other data sourcing from research and analysis of conducted by various authors, brought an attempt to answer the question somewhat provocatively posed by the researcher of the problem of situational character transformations on the ground of social psychology - Philip Zimbardo, which reads, „Why do good people do evil”? In this context, the task was undertaken to implement certain research problems falling within the field of Zimbardo’s „psychology of evil” into the area of interdisciplinary-oriented research on military ethics. The analyses carried out served as a basis for the formulation of general conclusions and recommendations in the field of ethical training of representatives of the uniformed services.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie motywów wprowadzenia zajęć wykorzystujących planszowe gry wojenne podczas kursów organizowanych przez Wojskowe Centrum Edukacji Obywatelskiej (WCEO), zapoznanie z możliwościami wykorzystania takich pomocy w edukacji wojskowej oraz ich charakterystyka. W tekście opisano nie tylko motywy wprowadzania gier do oferty edukacyjnej WCEO, ale także sam sposób wykorzystania ich w różnego rodzaju kursach i szkoleniach oraz proces przygotowania zajęć z planszowymi grami wojennymi. Ponadto ogólnie przedstawiono pozytywne skutki wykorzystania gier wojennych w edukacji wojskowej i działalności służbowej żołnierzy.
The article is primarily intended to present the reasons for introducing classes using board war games at the Military Center for Civic Education (WCEO), to familiarize with the possibilities of using board war games in military education and their characteristics. It shows not only the reasons for introducing games to WCEO’s educational offer, but also the method of implementing them in various types of courses and training, as well as the general process of preparing classes using board war games. Moreover, the positive effects of using war games in military education and soldiers’ service activities were generally presented.

Życie sportowe w Polsce międzywojennej obejmowało zarówno wychowanie fizyczne, jak i sport, a zatem aktywności, którymi bardzo szybko zainteresowało się Wojsko Polskie odrodzonej Rzeczypospolitej. Miały one bowiem służyć przede wszystkim podniesieniu sprawności fizycznej i stanu zdrowia społeczeństwa (zarówno kobiet, jak i mężczyzn), a tym samym wpływać na zwiększanie potencjału obronnego kraju. Nie była to jednak praktyka stosowana jedynie w Polsce, bo takie podejście ze strony czynników decyzyjnych było charakterystyczne dla wielu ówczesnych państw na świecie.Faktem jest, że przejęcie władzy przez Józefa Piłsudskiego umożliwiło wojsku zmonopolizowanie kierownictwa nad kwestiami związanymi z przygotowaniem społeczeństwa na wypadek wojny. Ta pełna kontrola wpłynęła również na zdynamizowanie prac w tym zakresie. Dominującą rolę odgrywał w tym aspekcie Państwowy Urząd Wychowania Fizycznego i Przysposobienia Wojskowego, który został utworzony w 1927 r. w celu kierowania powszechnym wychowaniem fizycznym i przysposobieniem wojskowym oraz sportem wojskowym. Po kilkunastu miesiącach funkcjonowania nowego systemu uznano, że należy pochylić się nad wprowadzonymi zmianami. Stały się one przewodnim tematem specjalnej konferencji odbywającej się w Ministerstwie Spraw Wewnętrznych, Sztabie Głównym i Komendzie Głównej Związku Strzeleckiego. Wnioski z niej płynące miały usprawnić istniejące rozwiązania w zakresie wychowania fizycznego, przysposobienia wojskowego i sportu.
The social dimension of sports in the interwar period included both physical education and competitive sport itself – activities which promptly were placed in the center of interest of the Polish Army of the reborn Polish Commonwealth, as they were to serve both improving athleticism and health of the society (both women and men), and at the same time increase the defense potential of the country. This strategy was implemented in multiple countries – such an approach of the heads of the states was characteristic for this period.It is a fact that Józef Pilsudski’s having seized control of the country allowed the military to monopolize the authority over issues concerned with preparing the society for potential war. Moreover, it influenced the dynamization of works in the area. The State Office of Physical Education and Military, created in 1927 to coordinate the common physical education and military preparation, was playing a major role in this aspect. After a dozen of months of functioning, it had been established that the introduced changes needed to be evaluated, which became a major topic at a special conference taking place in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and The Headquarters of The Polish Riflemen's Association. The conclusions drawn at the conference were to introduce improvements to the current solutions in the areas of physical education, premilitary training and sports.

Warto dodać, że w tym przypadku wzbogacają również wiedzę o historii Mazowsza.
The article contains memoirs of Wincenty Mossakowski, an inhabitant of the village of Gromin, near Pułtusk, from the first decades of the 20th century. Such memoirs are not often the subject of source publications. According to the author of the article, such reports significantly enrich knowledge about the history of small homelands, especially when they relate to difficult historical periods. It is worth adding that in this case they also enrich knowledge about the history of Mazovia.

The article deals with the essence of theoretic and experimental check of author’s andragogical model of development of foreign language communicative competence of lecturers of higher military educational institutions into educational process. The definition of “foreign language communicative competence” and its structure is proposed by author. The article reveals the main stages of experiment of foreign language communicative competence development. The results of pedagogical experiment on development foreign language communicative competence were presented and substantiated with help of Fisher F-test. The efficiency of the andragogical model was statistically proved.

Opis:
The article addresses the directions of management development in military libraries of higher education institutions in Poland. These changes are noticeable in such areas as information technology, interpersonal communication, spatial architecture, and library budget. The article also presents two most important and largest libraries in the Polish Armed Forces, namely the Library of the War Studies University and the Library of the Military University of Technology. It provides a brief historical outline of the mother universities of these libraries and the beginnings of their activities. Then, the essential modern solutions implemented there and have directly contributed to their development, are analyzed.
W artykule przedstawiono kierunki rozwoju zarządzania w wojskowych bibliotekach szkół wyższych w Polsce. Zmiany te zauważalne są m.in. w takich obszarach jak: technologia informacyjna, komunikacja międzyludzka, architektura przestrzenna czy budżet biblioteki. W artykule przedstawiono także dwie najważniejsze i największe biblioteki w Siłach Zbrojnych RP, a mianowicie: Bibliotekę Akademii Sztuki Wojennej oraz Bibliotekę Wojskowej Akademii Technicznej. Zaprezentowano krótki rys historyczny macierzystych uczelni tych bibliotek oraz początki ich działalności. Następnie przeanalizowano najważniejsze nowoczesne rozwiązania, które zostały tam zaimplementowane i które bezpośrednio przyczyniają się do rozwoju omawianych bibliotek.

The modern military requires professionals in its ranks. One of the many dimensions of professionalization is education and training aimed at building human capital. Modern equipment or specialized training devices are not sufficient for education to be effective; innovative teaching methods are also needed. Constantly growing needs in the field of education and professional development are determinants in the search for modern education forms, methods and tools adaptable to the military environment. As part of the education and professional development process, the military education units of the General Command of the Armed Forces concentrate their main efforts on the course training of soldiers and staff of the Ministry of National Defense, training of candidates for non-commissioned officers and specialized training of candidates for professional privates. As an organization, the Armed Forces must operate regardless of the emerging threats. Therefore, they must perform tasks in the most difficult and unpredictable circumstances. Paradoxically, the pandemic proved to be a catalyst for military education units to raise the level of teaching and enrich the ways of transmitting knowledge, including the popularization of distance learning. This paper discusses the distance learning model in operation at the Polish Armed Forces. The process of military professionals training using remote learning methods and techniques is characterized. Conclusions and experiences concerning the implementation of remote learning in the pandemic counteracting conditions are presented. The article also indicates the desired directions of transformation in the area of remote learning applied in the Polish Armed Forces.
Nowoczesna armia wymaga w swoich szeregach profesjonalistów. Jednym z wielu wymiarów profesjonalizacji jest kształcenie i doskonalenie zawodowe umożliwiające budowanie kapitału ludzkiego. Aby kształcenie było efektywne nie wystarczy tylko nowoczesny sprzęt czy specjalistyczne urządzenia szkolno-treningowe, ale potrzebne są również innowacyjne metody nauczania. Stale wzrastające potrzeby w zakresie kształcenia i doskonalenia zawodowego są determinantem w poszukiwaniu nowoczesnych form, metod i narzędzi kształcenia możliwych do adaptacji w środowisku wojskowym. W ramach realizacji procesu kształcenia i doskonalenia zawodowego jednostki szkolnictwa wojskowego Dowództwa Generalnego Sił Zbrojnych główny wysiłek koncentrują na szkoleniu kursowym żołnierzy oraz pracowników resortu obrony narodowej, kształceniu kandydatów na podoficerów oraz przygotowaniu specjalistycznym kandydatów na szeregowych zawodowych. Siły Zbrojne są organizacją, która musi funkcjonować bez względu na pojawiające się zagrożenia oraz realizować zadania w najtrudniejszych i nieprzewidywalnych uwarunkowaniach. Pandemia okazała się paradoksalnie katalizatorem dla jednostek szkolnictwa wojskowego do podniesienia poziomu nauczania i wzbogacenia sposobów przekazywania wiedzy, w tym upowszechnienia nauczania na odległość. W artykule omówiono model nauczania na odległość funkcjonujący w SZ RP. Scharakteryzowano proces przygotowania specjalistów wojskowych z wykorzystaniem metod i technik kształcenia zdalnego. Przedstawiono wnioski oraz doświadczenia wynikające z realizacji kształcenia w warunkach przeciwdziałania pandemii. Artykuł wskazuje również pożądane kierunki transformacji w obszarze kształcenia zdalnego stosowanego w SZ RP.

The article highlights the obtained results on conducting an institutional audit of the professional military education system in educational institutions of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The directions of further development of institutional audit mechanisms for evaluation of professional military education quality on the way to achieving compatibility of training processes according to NATO standards were substantiated. The results of the experiment confirm that institutional audit is a common element on the way to achieve compatibility of personnel training processes on NATO quality principles. In the years since Ukraine’s independence, attention has been paid to defense capability of the country, but reforming the national defense sector has been falling behind current needs. The Ukrainian course towards the European community and NATO membership predetermines the advancement of all spheres of public life, including training of officer personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, its education and career progress. The reform of military education requires introducing new academic programs that permit training modern-type officers - military managers, who can constructively interpret theoretical materials, the experience of domestic and foreign scientists and implement them in their practical activities. Against the backdrop of the reform of military education, one of the most important tasks of higher military education involves not only training highly-qualified specialists but also the conformity of their knowledge with international standards that will allow them to be competitive both at the domestic and international labor markets and be compatible with NATO partners. The introduction of practical management experience as management methodology for the relevant system into military medicine will drive the formation of the requirements for organizing the training of specifically qualified personnel. The training of a manager and leader under the dictatorship (authoritarian) principle is passing into history; there is a need for a military manager as a prototype of an intelligent and wise leader. With the advent and expansion of such a control system as management, the following question has arisen sporadically: what is the difference between management and administration? The objective of management is to increase the profitability of business and production activities, i.e., gaining profit. The objective of administration, in particular, state or public, is to regulate social relations, which would be convenient and beneficial to the use of business and all citizens of the state in their day-to-day operations. Management objectives prescribe the features of management methodology which relies on the guiding principle: public administration adopts methodology and action procedure, which is defined by current legislation, and management adopts methodology and action procedure, which is not prohibited by law. Consequently, military administration is close to public administration in terms of the mentioned methodological principle since it is regulated by statutory acts and the system of orders allowed by the relevant laws in force. Thus, heightened attention to the enhancement of military administration is more important than using the terms “military management” and “military manager” within the system of military administration.

This paper presents the organization of language education in the Polish Armed Forces, which today focuses mostly on English instruction and is based on STANAG 6001. It highlights the importance of two key institutions, namely the Military Education Department and The Polish Armed Forces School of Languages. The final section deals with the military thematic units suggested in the language curriculum designed for soldiers and evaluates the presence of these themes in certification papers issued by the Central Examination Board for Foreign Languages of the Ministry of National Defence.

National logistic system consists of military and civilian logistics. The crisis management logistics should be also included. Nowadays, technological development and changes in the security environment lead to integration of logistics in these three areas. The expected effect is an increased interoperability, flexibility, sensitivity, effective response to the external environment and, consequently, enhanced capacity of the national logistic system. Educational system for defense and security services should consider the necessity to integrate programs of the tree areas to educate logisticians who are successful on the labor market and fist of all perform tasks for national security professionally.

Polska myśl pedagogiczna dotycząca edukacji dla bezpieczeństwa nie pozostawała w tyle za nowoczesną myślą innych państw gdy nie wzorowała się bezkrytycznie na obcych rozwiązaniach. W niniejszym materiale starano się przedstawić rys historyczny przygotowania społeczeństwa polskiego do problematyki bezpieczeństwa ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem edukacji młodzieży.
In Poland, throughout history, the issue of education and upbringing of the young generation grew out of social needs and opportunities as well as the progress of science and technology. The processes of change usually took place in a natural way, aiming to meet social needs, basically in keeping with the spirit of the times and often overtaking this time. Polish pedagogical thought regarding education for security did not lag behind the modern thought of other countries when it did not model uncritically on foreign solutions. This article sought to present the historical background. The preparation of the Polish society, for security issues, with particular emphasis on youth education.
