    Opis:
    This article aims to specify one method of descriptive analysis, which can be used in the epistemological framework of the Descriptive Translation Studies and the theory of the polysystem. The challenge is essentially to define the unit of analysis in relation to traditional translation methods (borrowing, tracing, literal translation, transposition, modulation, equivalence, adaptation), defined in 1958 by Jean-Paul Vinay and Jean Darbelnet. We aim to associate the comparative stylistics with polysystem theory on the descriptive studies of translation and to propose a method of qualitative and quantitative analysis on corpus of source and target texts. The method could be profitable especially for studies in the field of the history of translation (in the phase of “historical criticism” according to the taxonomy of the discipline formulated by A. Pym).

    Opis:
    The mobility of students is becoming an essential element of the education on the level of higher education, facilitating acquiring work. Universal opinion of the academic world is connected with it by the fact of the consistent growth of interest of students in this form of education. It is a universal view also in Russia. The purpose of the research, led in Poland and Russia, using the questionnaire, is an attempt to verify the rightness of such a view and to get to know determinants of educational mobility, revealing common features and differences in motivations and attitudes of students. The usefulness of knowledge acquired this way can be a base of creating the recommendation for universities being involved in international educational programmes. The material for the analysis comes from examinations which began at the end of April 2015. A nonparametric method of classification trees was used in it.

    Opis:
    The present article explains the concept of the research method, what such a method is in the general meaning, then it presents those research methods that are most frequently used in writing master’s and doctoral dissertations in ethnology of religion that undertake issues connected with folk religiousness. In dissertations such methods, among others, are used, as the method of ethnographic field research, the method of analysis and critique of writings, the comparative method and the theological method. Most attention was devoted to the ethnographic method, because ethnology is not included in the curriculum of theological studies. Due to the complexity of the subject of research, that is of religion, it requires a multi-faceted approach, so that its essence as well as the rites and rituals that are performed in it can be properly understood.

    Przedmiotem badań jest analiza poziomu rolnictwa ekologicznego w krajach UE z wykorzystaniem, m. in. takich charakterystyk jak: średnia powierzchnia upraw ekologicznych, udział powierzchni upraw ekologicznych w powierzchni użytków rolnych ogółem, wartość sprzedaży detalicznej, wydatki na żywność ekologiczną. Za pomocą wybranej liniowej metody porządkowania zbioru obiektów sporządzono ranking państw. Wybór procedury porządkowania dokonano z wykorzystując procedurę wspoma¬gającą opartą na mierze podobieństwa układów porządkowych.
    The subject of the study was the analysis of the level of organic farming in the EU countries using such characteristics as: the average size of organic crops, these crops area per 1,000 inhabitants, share of this area in total utilized agricultural area, value of retail sales for these crops per 1000 ha and the annual amount of money spent on organic food per capita. It was created the ranking of countries using selected methods of linear ordering set of objects. The results of analysis indicate, that the higher ranking positions are occupied with countries with a higher level of economic development.

    Artykuł zawiera wyniki badania wpływu bezpośrednich inwestycji zagranicznych na gospodarkę wschodnich regionów przygranicznych Polski w okresie 1999-2009. W badaniu posłużono się metodą analizy porównawczej dynamiki napływu bezpośrednich inwestycji zagranicznych w stosunku do spółek handlowych oraz najważniejszych wskaźników makroekonomicznych (PKB oraz poziomu zatrudnienia i bezrobocia). Badania oparte zostały na źródłach wtórnych (dane GUS) oraz literaturze przedmiotu.
    The article presents the results of the studies on the foreign direct investment influence to the economy of the eastern borderlands of Poland 1999-2009. In the research the author uses the comparative analysis method of dynamics of the foreign direct investment inflow to the companies and the most important macroeconomic indicators, such as gross domestic product as well as the employment and unemployment level. The studies are based on the secondary resources (CSO data) as well as on the subject literature.
