Opis:
In his book, Čitanje grada (Reading the City), Krešimir Nemec stated that A.G. Matoš has „modeled after Baudelaire, introduced to the Croatian literature a figure of an idle observer, a curious pedestrian or a flâneur, a typical impressionist product of urban culture and aesthetics of the street”. As a reference and a starting point for reflection on flâneurism’s motifs in contemporary Croatian literature, A.G. Matoš is used as a factor of distinction in outlining one of the most characteristic aspects of the so-called transitional literature. Having said that, a common conclusion is that flâneurism has, in the Croatian contemporary prose, moved from thestreets to the shopping malls. However, contemporary Croatian prose offers the reading of other flâneurism practices as a movement that reflects the changes in categories of urban life, space, daily life and discourse in the transition period from the 20th to the 21st century due to the transformative processes such as a transition, globalization and media revolution. Ultimately, Nemec writes: „If he had experienced the present era of electronics and virtual reality, Matoš probably would have called the tireless surfers of the endless Internet sphere electronic flâneurs”.

Opis:
Communicative aggressions can be explained as a value based conflict in a media sphere about the symbols of belief. They result to value based polarization of public conciseness which feeds general aggressive tone towards otherness. The analyses of this phenomena is a burning scientific objective which is reached on the base of axiologically oriented media researches. The paper discloses the aim and objectives of further research of communicative aggressions of the XXI century. The research is undertaken by the initiative group of researchers (political scientists, linguists and experts in field of journalism and mass communication theory) from Poland, Russia and Finland. Based on the assumption that communicative aggressions is a way to make informational damage to an opponent/enemy the project plans to analyze the symbolic bases of this phenomenon, the practices of communicative aggressions in a policultural environment as well as roots of nihilism and hate in political online communications. The paper covers theoretical approaches to the interpretation of the phenomena of communicative aggressions. Value based analyses is promoted as an adequate research approach to learn about new phenomenon.

moral discourses of mediatization, mediasphere, mediatization, new media, media studies, media ethics, information society
Opis:
Moral discourses of mediatizationThe issues of moral order in a globalized communication world have special significance. The participation of the media in shaping it remains undisputed. Mediatization paradoxes perceived in the media oppression with their coincident positive valorization (information and knowledge, entertainment and fun) make the issue of demonstrating its complexity problematic. They are, after all, public service media, whose patterns are directly reflected in the practiced morality. The question whether/how it is possible to care about values in the mediasphere is a guiding principle of this reflection. In search of possible topics of its penetration I address the sender – receiver relation, reaching to the determinants which shape moral attitudes. In an attempt to define and expose them I concentrate on the issue of responsibility, in my opinion a primary category, whose optics allows us to determine the area of desired values, both individual and community ones. Built as a result of critical thinking and collectivization of knowledge it helps to shape moral sensibility. Analyzing the attitude of the journalist arising from their role I place the problem of axiological consequences in individual and social dimensions. I note that ethical reflection understood as a reflection on what we are doing, as a result of understanding the moral qualifications adopted in the interaction, leading to the formation of self-knowledge, enables shaping oneself as a moral entity. It opens areas of social solidarity and cooperation, expressed in the commitment and care by “being for”. The background of the article is a brief characteristics of mediatized reality based on selected sociophilosophical and communicological diagnoses (eg. Bauman, Beck, Bourdieu and Sloterdijk) supplemented with the ideas of Rorty and MacIntyre. The analyses of mediasphere by Vattimo and Castells constitute an important system of references. They are completed by a generalized description of the continually modified media offer, in which the receiver – the user and creator of the media at the same time, exposes his targeted or imposed choices. In such an organized narrative the sender is being examined through the prism of journalistic duties and their possible execution significantly determining certain interpretations of the proposed messages.

Opis:
The article is a review of eight studies in which, with varying intensity and different purpose, the expression media discourse has been used. Furthermore, the article includes two important postulates. The first one being to exclude fiction texts, which are of a dominant autotelic function, from the media discourse analysis. The second one – to revise the opinion that the Internet discourse is a homogeneous structure. Hypertext discourse seems to be a crucial and instrumental category which overlaps with the media discourse, being, however, more precise in nature. The author concludes that media discourse is a type of a one-way communication through the mass media, where the sender is institutionalized, and the audience is the recipient. The message requires transceiver devices and is characterized by progressing iconisation. The objective of the sender is to direct social attention and model the views of his/her audience. The press discourse, the radio discourse, the television discourse and the hypertext discourse can be distinguished within the media discourse framework, in accordance with the type of data transmission. Semiotically, this type of communication is located in the mediasphere and displays a combination of three areas of signs: iconography, “sonophere” (sphere of sound) and logosphere, while eliminating the fourth area, the “galenosphere” (sphere of silence).
