The paper presents some issues with developing dedicated software solutions for control – measurement systems equipped with Graphical User Interface (GUI) and touchscreen dedicated to work under different operating systems like MS Windows and Linux. Some important issues of preparing the system to work under different operating system environment using common software code are described. W artykule przedstawiono tendencje rozwojowe w dziedzinie sensorowych systemów wykorzystywanych do pomiarów warunków środowiskowych oraz rozpoznawania obiektów szczególnie w zastosowaniach dla pojazdów samobieżnych. Opisano także najnowsze rozwiązania czujników wywodzące się z technologii opracowanych w wyniku realizacji programów kosmicznych i ich nowe zastosowania w przemyśle i w systemach bezpieczeństwa. Przedstawiono perspektywy ich dalszego rozwoju oraz wpływu technologii MEMS i NEMS na rozwój gospodarki i różnych przedsiębiorstw produkcyjnych.
The paper describes measurement systems using new technologies in environment parameters evaluation for mobile robots and at industrial safety systems. Described systems use new technologies developed for cosmic programs like micro-electro-mechanical systems MEMS and nano-electro-mechanical systems NEMS. Also non-invasive measurement systems for production lines and process industry are described. The advantages and perspectives of the further research in this fields have been discussed.

The article discusses the logistic utility of registration data of automated measuring systems in the practice of operational management of national roads, expressways and motorways, as well as the shaping of the quality of logistic services. The analysis of the key problem is presented in the article on the example of the automatic toll collection system viaTOLL, operating on the indicated roads. The publication draws attention to the key and extramural information character of data registered, stored and offered by specialized, automated record systems. He points to the multifaceted and simultaneous usefulness of this data to the organization and management of the scale of road logistics processes, regardless of the chief, specialized function assigned to a specific automated recording system involved in the recording of specific road incidents.

Opis:
This article presents a way of calibration of an unconventional two-current circuit, named 2J+2R, which consists of two current sources and two referential resistors connected to the circuit mass. This bridge was used to measure the beam deflection and the temperature increase simultaneously with the use of a pair of metal strain gauges. This paper contains theoretical and corrected (after calibration) processing characteristics of the measurement circuit. Calibration coefficients of both inputs, responsible for measurement of the measured values in the places where the strain gauges are attached, were calculated. Moreover, the standard combined and expanded uncertainties of both calibration coefficients were calculated and an uncertainty budget was made.

The paper presents the implementation of the Elliptic Curves Cryptography (ECC) algorithms to ensure security in the distributed measurement system. The algorithms were deployed in the LabWindows/CVI environment and are a part of its cryptographic library. Their functionality is identical with the OpenSSL package. The effectiveness of implemented algorithms is presented with the comparison of the ECDSA against the DSA systems. The paper is concluded with future prospects of the implemented library.

W artykule zaprezentowano układy pomiarowe, w których istotnym elementem jest woltomierz homodynowy (Lock-In Amplifier). Układy te mogą służyć do wzorcowania mierników mocy oraz prądowych i napięciowych obciążeń przekładników. Zamieszczono też wyniki porównań z urządzeniami dedykowanymi do tego typu pomiarów.
The article presents measurement systems where Lock-in Amplifier is an important element. These systems can be used to calibrate the power meters and burdens of voltage and current transformers. The paper also includes results of the comparisons with the devices dedicated to this type of measurements.

The article discusses issues related to virtual measurement systems and presents the results of comparative measurements of resistance and electric voltage measured with various measuring devices, including virtual NI Elvis systems. The accuracy and measurement errors were compared, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the devices and methods used for the measurements. Moreover, a computer simulation of the measurements in the Multisim software was performed, and its results were compared with the actual indications of the meters.

W artykule przedstawiono możliwości zdalnego konfigurowania rozproszonych systemów pomiarowych, na przykładzie systemu wykorzystującego technologię ZigBee. Opisany system pomiarowy bazuje na zestawie deweloperskim Professional Development Kit for XBee ZB w wersji XK-Z11-PD-WE. Dzięki skryptom napisanym w języku Python system może być w trakcie działania przystosowywany do nowych zadań, na drodze wymiany oprogramowania kontrolera sieci.
The paper presents the possibility of remote configuration of distributed measurement systems on the example of a measurement system utilizing ZigBee technology [7]. Due to the increasing number of potential applications of distributed measurement systems [1], [2], the possibility to adapt the entire system to new applications (changes of system behaviour, network topology etc.) may prove to be an interesting and useful feature. The following design objectives have been adopted: ability to replace software without restart and recompilation, ability to change the network topology to fit the application functionality and possibility to control the entire system through LAN. The designed distributed measurement system is based on the XK-Z11-PD-WE version of the Professional Development Kit for XBee ZB and is controlled by an application created in LabView. System can be adapted to new tasks during operation using Python scripts [8] through an exchange of the network controller software. The proposed solution is better than upgrading firmware through ZigBee network using OAD approach, mainly because of faster execution (simple change of the script instead of firmware upgrade performed on all the elements of the system) and larger amount of a memory available. Technologia montażu części ciśnieniowej kotła energetycznego wymaga zainstalowania rusztu wewnętrznego z systemem wężownic. Konstrukcję rusztu stanowi zestaw niezależnych belek stalowych wciąganych do wnętrza komory paleniskowej kotła za pomocą hydraulicznych siłowników linowych. W takich warunkach procedura podnoszenia rusztu, choć teoretycznie stosunkowo prosta w praktyce sprawia wiele kłopotów ekipom monterskim. Nierównomierne wciąganie belek rusztu może spowodować zerwanie systemu wężownic, a w rezultacie zagrożenie dla pracujących tam ludzi oraz ogromne straty materialne. Dlatego kluczowe z punktu widzenia bezpieczeństwa całego procesu montażu wężownic jest umożliwienie stałego monitorowania poziomu belek rusztu. W tym celu zaprojektowany, przetestowany i wykonany został prototypowy mikroprocesorowy, przemysłowy system kontroli poziomu. To nowatorskie rozwiązanie wspomagające montaż podsystemów kotła energetycznego zostało przedstawione w niniejszym artykule.
The technology of power boiler pressure subsystems erection requires installation of inner grid with the system of coils. The construction of the inner grid consist of set of independent beams which are suspended by means of strand jacks. In spite of that theoretically the procedure of suspending the grid seems to be very simply, that is very inconvenient for the operating stuff in fact. Not uniform suspending process could lead to brake the system of coils and as a result could be a danger to workers and could bring about significant financial loss. Therefore the control of beams level is crucial to ensure the safety of whole coil erection process. To this end the microprocessor based prototype, industrial level indication system was designed, tested and built. This novel solution supporting assembly of power boiler subsystems is presented in the paper.

Modern control and measurement systems are equipped with interfaces to operate in local area networks and are typically intended to perform complicated data processing and control algorithms. The authors propose a digital system for rapid prototyping of target application devices. The concept solution separates the processing and control section from the hardware interface and user interface section. Both sections constitute independent ARM-based controllers interconnected via a direct USB link. Popular libraries can be used and low-level procedures developed, which enhances the system's economic viability. A test unit developed for the purpose of the study was built around a SoC ARM7 microsystem and an off-the-shelf palmtop device. It demonstrated a continuous data stream transfer capability up to 150 kB per second, which was sufficient to monitor the performance of an electricity line.

W pracy omówiono metodę pomiaru parametrów opisujących dynamikę i zużycia energii podczas sterowania doświadczalnego, orientowanego ogniwa słonecznego. Paper presents an identification dynamics and an energy consumption problem for oriented PV system. The construction of a measuring system and a measure method with the use of dSPACE and MATLAB/Simulink were presented. Conclusions about applications results to build mathematical models of considered system were also formulated.

Współpraca wielu urządzeń pomiarowych czy długotrwała akwizycja danych napotyka problemy: brak jednolitego interfejsu umożliwiającego użytkownikowi proste zarządzanie zbieraniem danych i przejrzystą ekspozycję danych, zużycie energii komputera nadzorującego ciągłą pracę sieci przyrządów pomiarowych. Rozwiązaniem może być zastosowanie autonomicznego kontrolera procesu akwizycji danych umożliwiającego konfigurację parametrów pracy i odczyt wyników.
Multiple measurement instruments cooperation as well as long-lasting data acquisition can arise problems due to lack of unified interface for data collection management and data visualization and also energy consumption of computer controlling instruments network. These problems can be solved using autonomous acquisition controller allowing to configure parameters and to view collected data. The device is based on single-board computer with ARM9 processor working under Linux operating system. The application running on the controller allows performing multiple acquisition schedules and uses database approach for data collection. The controller can be managed using web-based user interface, which gives high flexibility and is operating system independent. The main advantage of this solution is low power consumption: the device uses below 1.5W.

Konwersja a-c z sygnałem ditherowym i z uśrednianiem jest skuteczną metodą redukcji wariancji błędu kwantowania w systemach pomiarowych z cyfrowym algorytmem pomiaru. Podano zależność opisującą wariancję błędu kwantowania tak zmodyfikowanej konwersji. Sformułowano zasady doboru parametrów konwersji i określono ich wartości dla przypadku ditheru gaussowskiego.
A-D conversion with dither signal and with averaging is an effective method for reducing the variance of quantization error in measuring systems with a digital measuring algorithm. A dependence was given, describing the variance of quantization error of the conversion modified using such method. The rules for selecting the conversion parameters were formulated as well as their values for the case of Gaussian dither.
