Artykuł poświęcony jest sposobom przenoszenia słów i zwrotów określających rzeczy, zjawiska i przedmioty typowe dla życia, codziennej rutyny i kultury mieszkańców Moskwy w pierwszych dekadach władzy radzieckiej, które posłużyły do przetłumaczenia powieści "Mistrz i Małgorzata" na języki południowosłowiańskie (bułgarski, serbski, chorwacki, słoweński). Złożoność struktury artystycznej powieści, połączenie kilku tradycji kulturowych, historycznych i religijnych, warstw stylistycznych i językowych, sprawiają, że to bardzo trudne zadanie dla tłumaczy. Jednym z warunków koniecznych do jego rozwiązania jest obecność w przetłumaczonym wydaniu komentarzy referencyjnych, wyjaśniających trudne fragmenty.  
The article deals with the ways of transferring words and phrases naming things, phenomena, and objects typical for life, daily routine and culture of the Muscovites during the first decades of Soviet power, used for translation of the novel “The Master and Margarita” into South Slavic (Bulgarian, Serbian, Croatian, Slovenian) languages. The complexity of the novel’s artistic structure, the combination of several cultural, historical and religious traditions, stylistic and linguistic layers, possess a very difficult task for translators. One of the necessary conditions for its solution is the presence in the translated edition a reference device (reference comments) explaining difficult passages.
В статье рассматриваются способы передачи слов и словосочетаний, называющих предметы, явления, объекты, характерные для жизни, быта и культуры москвичей первых десятилетий советской власти, при переводе романа «Мастер и Маргарита» на южнославянские (болгарский, сербский, хорватский, словенский) языки. Сложность художественной структуры романа, соединение в нем нескольких культурных и историко-религиозных традиций, стилистических и языковых пластов ставит перед переводчиками весьма трудную задачу. Одним из необходимых условий ее решения является наличие в переводном издании справочного аппарата, разъясняющего трудные для понимания пассажи.

In the article, some meaningful oppositions are discussed, which are actual in Michael Bulhakov’s prose, such as „professional ~ non-professional”, „master (=creator) ~ professional (=educated servant of the anti-creative Soviet Authority)”. The moral key of the opposition „master ~ professional” in Bulhakov’s prose has been proved. Just this key is basic in the contemporary Russian language consciousness, where the opposition „personal ~ impersonal” is characteristic.

Opis:
The main aim of this article is to describe the system of higher education in Russia. Moscow is the biggest academic center in Russian Federation. There are about 60 universities. The largest and most popular are Moscow State University, The Pushkin State Russian Language Institute, International University in Moscow and Moscow State Institute of International Relations. They are two levels of higher education in Russia – Bachelor’s degree (4 years) and Master’s degree (2 years). Both could be obtained while studying full-time or part-time. After that, there is a possibility to finish postgraduate studies. Russian universities cooperate with many foreign educational institutions (including Polish universities). Not only do students have the opportunity to leave in Moscow but also study at Russian academies, for example, Pushkin State Russian Language Institute, Moscow State Institute of International Relations and Diplomatic Academy. Higher education in Moscow is affected by various problems. One of them is a decreasing level of education. In fact, students do their specializations, however the level of their general knowledge seems to be low. Furthermore, the education is commercialized since everyone would like to receive a Master’s degree. It suggests that in the near future not only will Russian society have a bigger cadre of professors but also more business and financial universities.
В тексте «Высшее образование в Москве и в России – возможности, проблемы, перспективы» речь идёт об ситуации образовательной системы в России. Москва является главным научным центром всей страны. В городе находится около 60 вузов. Самые большие и популярнейшие из них это: Московский государственный университет им. М.В. Ломоносова, Государственный институт русского языка им. А.С. Пушкина, Международный университет в Москве и Московский государственный институт международных отношений. Высшее образование в России проходит на двух уровнях – «бакалавриат» (4 года) и «магистратура» (2 года). Кроме того, можно учиться в формах послевузовского и дистанционного обучения. Оно проходит в очной и заочной формах. Российские университеты сотрудничают с многими зарубежными университетами (в том числе также с польскими). Благодаря этому, у студентов появляется возможность жить в Москве и учиться в таких вузах как напр. Государственный институт русского языка им. А.С. Пушкина, Московский государственный институт международных отношений и Дипломатическая академия. С высшим образованием связаны многие проблемы. Снижается уровень обучения, у студентов узкая специализация, но у них нет общих знаний. Кроме того, проходит коммерциализация обучения и сейчас немного людей хочет начать работу без получения диплома окончения вуза. В ближайшее время Россию ждёт расширение профессорской группы и развитие бизнесовых и финансовых вузов.

This article is devoted to the issue of reflecting ideas, motifs, themes, types of protagonists and conflicts of the novel The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov in Pelevin’s novel Chapayev and Void. The central figure in Pelevin’s novel – Peter Emptiness (other versions of his name: Pyotr Pustota, Pyotr Voyd), reminds the reader of a hero from Mikhail Bulgakov’s novel – Ivan Homeless. The life situations of the respective heroes are analogous. The model of master and pupil is also an allusion to the relationship between Ivan and the Master. Pelevin’s reminiscence code also concerns the female hero Anna, who reflects Margarita as the ideal of beauty. Moreover, Pelevin seems to continue Bulgakov’s deliberations upon the evolution of Russian history, the constant and still valid conflict between the hero and Russian society. Additionally Pelevin uses the theme of spiritual initiation as the only way of escaping from the misery of Moscow’s reality

Przedmiotem analizy podjętej w artykule jest zagadnienie relacji naukowych, politycznych i towarzyskich łączących Jana Hulewicza i Stanisława Kota, dwóch wybitnych uczonych, profesorów Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego, badaczy historii wychowania i kultury umysłowej Rzeczpospolitej, a zarazem aktywnych uczestników życia polityczno-społecznego Polski w pierwszej połowie XX wieku. Na podstawie dotychczasowych opracowań biograficznych, a także materiałów źródłowych dostępnych w archiwach Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego oraz Instytutu Pamięci Narodowej tekst prezentuje w układzie chronologicznym etapy edukacji oraz meandry kariery zawodowej i akademickiej, działalność polityczną oraz późniejsze koleje życia obu uczonych. Cztery wyróżnione okresy to czas autonomii galicyjskiej, dwudziestolecie Polski międzywojennej, II wojna światowa oraz okres pojałtański. Omawiając biografie uczonych, artykuł zwraca uwagę na liczne podobieństwa w ich przebiegu – m.in. początki karier naukowych związane ze środowiskiem lwowskim i filologią polską, a twórczo kontynuowane w środowisku krakowskim w dziedzinie historii kultury i edukacji; wierność zasadom ideowym; wspólne środowisko polityczno-ideowe i zaangażowanie w służbę państwu polskiemu. Pomimo „żelaznej kurtyny” i komunistycznych represji, współpraca uczonych nie została zerwana. Hulewicz kontynuował i rozwijał w kraju ważne inicjatywy Kota, np. serię wydawniczą „Biblioteka Narodowa”, doprowadził do wydania księgi pamiątkowej ku czci Mistrza, zabiegał o wydanie pamiętników Wincentego Witosa w opracowaniu Profesora. Został również depozytariuszem spuścizny i wykonawcą jego ostatniej woli.
The subject of the analysis undertaken in this article is the issue of the scientific, political, and social relations between Jan Hulewicz and Stanisław Kot, two eminent scholars, professors of the Jagiellonian University, researchers of the history of education and intellectual culture, as well as active participants in the political and social life of Poland in the first half of the 20th century. On the basis of existing biographical studies and source materials available in the archives of the Jagiellonian University and the Institute of National Remembrance, the text presents in chronological order their stages of education and the meanders of their professional and academic careers, together with their political activity and the subsequent course of the lives of both scholars. The four periods distinguished are the time of Galician autonomy, interwar Poland, the Second World War and the post-Yalta period. Discussing the biographies of the two scholars, the article draws attention to the numerous similarities in their courses – i.a. the beginnings of their scientific careers related to the Lviv circle and Polish philology, and creatively continued in the Krakow circle in the field of cultural history and education; their adherence to certain ideological principles, their common political and ideological environment and commitment to the service of the Polish state. Despite being behind the Iron Curtain and subject to communist repression, the scholars’ cooperation remained unbroken. Hulewicz continued and developed Kot’s important initiatives in Poland, becoming the depositary of his legacy and executor of his last will.

The article presents the sources and functions of the state in the thought of Friedrich Nietzsche. Nietzsche claims that modern society is overfilled by a multitude of slavish tendencies, which stand in total opposition to the existential unity of the “free spirits”, whose way of life was extin-guished at the same time as the slaves started to establish rules. Only the Overman, as Nietzsche says, can overcome the slavish nature of the state and bring an authentic joy to the human exist-ence.

W artykule przedstawiono zegary wzorcowe czasu i częstotliwości z uwzględnieniem różnych technologii wykonania. Porównano parametry dotyczące dokładności i stałości sygnałów czasu i częstotliwości zarówno wzorców autonomicznych, jak i wzorców dowiązanych do skali UTC. Omówiono różnice w parametrach eksploatacyjnych i ich wpływ na możliwości wykorzystania w wybranych aplikacjach.
In his article, the author presented the master clocks of time and frequency taking into account various technologies of manufacturing. He compared the parameters concerning accuracy and stability of timing and frequency signals both of the autonomous master clocks and those attached to the UTC scale. The author discussed the differences in the exploitation parameters and their impact on the possibility to use in the selected applications.

W zbiorach Biblioteki i Archiwum Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Gdańsku znajdują się m.in. kolekcje fotografii zarówno w postaci cyfrowej, jak i analogowej. Ze względu na charakter zbiorów, które dotyczą historii szkoły, również tej najnowszej, można zaliczyć je do dziedzictwa kulturowego. Te cenne zasoby wymagają ochrony z poszanowaniem prawa do ich udostępniania. Jedną z form ochrony zbiorów analogowych jest tworzenie cyfrowych zapisów zdjęć, w wyniku których powstają bazy danych, a te z kolei również wymagają zabezpieczeń, zarządzania nimi oraz tworzenia właściwych opisów. Przedstawione w artykule działania pracowników Biblioteki i Archiwum Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Gdańsku na rzecz ochrony zbiorów fotograficznych mają pokazać, w jaki sposób można wykorzystać efekty procesu cyfryzacji zdjęć, a za pomocą internetu dotrzeć do szerszego grona odbiorców.
The collections of the Library and the Archive of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk feature inter alia the collections of photography, both in the digital and in the analogue forms. Due to the nature of the collections which refer to the history of the school, including the most recent history, we may classify them as a part of cultural heritage. These valuable resources require protection accompanied by the respect of the right of making them accessible. One of the forms of the protection of analogue collections has to do with the making of digital archives of photographs, due to which databases are established, and these in turn also require security, management and the development of appropriate descriptions. The activities of the employees of the Library and the Archive of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk for the protection of the photographical collections which are presented in the article are supposed to demonstrate how the results of the process of the digitalisation of photographs may be used and how to reach a wider group of recipients by means of the internet.

The article is devoted to the problem of time and space as the essential factors of the world model created in The Master and Margarita, the famous novel written by Mikhail Bulgakov. As many critics has already noticed, there are three basic space dimensions in the considering work of prose – Jerusalem, Moscow and the mysterious world of Woland. As the matter of fact the core problem of research concerns the latter. The world from which Woland is coming is presented as a kind of inter-world between the other two, on the one hand, and as the objective Universe embracing them, creating in this way the unity of three dimensions, on the other hand. Moreover, in this piece of work, there has been made an attempt to recode the Woland’s world by analysing the motifs of it through the symbols and themes of gnosis.

This article is a personal reflection on the role of a Master in one’s life. We all meet on our path people who in some way create our future. But we do not always realise it. Understanding their role in our lives allows us to implement order in our present life and impacts on our self-awareness. Through my stories about my masters and my own perception I wanted to show that often ordinary people, people around us that we might hardly ever notice or be aware of, are our true Masters.  
Artykuł jest osobistą refleksją nad rolą Mistrza w życiu człowieka. Każdy człowiek napotyka na swojej drodze ludzi, którzy kształtują jego przyszłość. Nie zawsze jednak jesteśmy tego świadomi. Uświadomienie sobie roli innych ludzi w naszym życiu wprowadza pewien porządek w teraźniejszość i wpływa na kształtowanie własnej tożsamości. Poprzez podzielenie się opowieścią o swoich mistrzach i własnym pojmowaniu mistrzostwa chciałam przede wszystkim pokazać, że Mistrzami są przeważnie ludzie żyjący wokół nas, których często w codziennym życiu nie potrafimy dostrzec.

Celem opracowania jest określenie wartości poznawczej wyników badań prezentowanych w artykułach poświęconych zagadnieniom ZZL, w których posłużono się metodologią teorii ugruntowanej. Dzięki wykorzystaniu metaanalizy możliwe będzie porównanie wyników badań empirycznych, publikowanych na przestrzeni ostatnich pięciu lat (2010–2014) w periodykach z tzw. listy filadelfijskiej, poświęconych zagadnieniom zarządzania zasobami ludzkimi w organizacjach działających zarówno w sektorze prywatnym, jak i publicznym.
The aim of the study is to assess the cognitive value of research results presented in the articles concerning HRM in which the grounded theory methodology was used. The article puts forward the meta-analysis as a tool for comparing the results of previous empirical research published during the period of the last five years (2010–2014) on the ISI Master Journal List. I hope that my research will add to debates on issues of HRM within the private and public sector.

Opis:
Niniejszy artykuł kładzie nacisk na problematykę opraw ksiąg, które znalazły się w kolekcji kanonika gnieźnieńskiego Stanisława Grota. Rozpoznany do tej pory fragment księgozbioru duchownego liczy 45 druków. Wszystkie omówione woluminy należą do zasobu Archiwum Archidiecezjalnego w Gnieźnie. Największą część biblioteki kanonika stanowią druki traktujące o prawie kanonicznym, świeckim oraz kazania. Oprawy tych druków w większości zostały wykonane z desek bądź tektury oraz jasnej skóry dodatkowo pokrytej dekoracjami. Z pewnością przeważają oprawy w typie niemieckiego renesansu o kompozycji ramowej. Sporą część tworzą również oprawy o wymowie kontrreformacyjnej, ozdobione plakietami z monogramem IHS. Jak wynika z badań nad znakami wodnymi, kanonik zaopatrywał się nie tylko u lokalnych introligatorów, ale też m.in. u rzemieślników z Małopolski.
This article focuses on the issues concerning the bindings of books that formed the book collection of the Gniezno canon Stanisław Grot. The identified section of the collection that belonged to Grot amounts to forty five old prints. All volumes discussed in the article come from the Archdiocesan Archives in Gniezno. The bulk of the canon’s library comprises books on canon and secular law and on sermons. The bindings of these old prints are predominantly made of planks or cardboard and light vellum (hide) that had been additionally embellished with ornamentation. Undoubtedly, the bindings made according to the traditional craft of German Renaissance bookbinding and with a framework composition are in preponderance. A sizeable number of bindings feature clearly Counter-Reformation setting with religious symbolism that is clearly Counter Reformation in purpose and with the monograph IHS. As it has been revealed from the analysis of the watermarks, the canon used the binding services of not only local book binders, but also those from the Lesser Poland region.

Opis:
Aim: The article discusses selected problems related to the functioning of universities at the turn of the century, with particular emphasis on the world of values and the master-student relationship. Methods: An analysis of selected scientific studies dedicated to the subject of higher education and education. Results: Based on the above analysis, there is anxiety about the status quo of this institution and anxiety about the master-student relationship. In the face of constant reforms of the university, the quality of these relations is also changing, while these relations are the foundation favoring or inhibiting creative work. Conclusions: Reforms are necessary and inevitable, but they should be accompanied by care for the world of universal values that should always be present in places such as universities. Therefore, it is worth initiating and conducting discussions on the values and relationships that build a modern university.
