    Opis:
    The paper presents the results of author's own research investigating the relationships between attachment styles and marital satisfaction among partners of individuals with a mobility disability. The analyses were intended to determine the strength of attachment behaviours (secure, avoidant and ambivalent [anxious-resistant insecure] attachment) and to identify the general level of relationship satisfaction and its specific aspects (intimacy, disappointment, self-fulfillment and similarity), as well as the correlation between the two variables. Also, the significance of variables such as the cause of spouse's disability and manner in which the disability has been perceived by the non-disabled spouse for the correlation was also verified. The research material was obtained from 85 spouses of individuals who became disabled as a result of a spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, stroke and lower limb amputation. Measures used in the study included the Well-Matched Marriage Questionnaire (KDM-2) developed by M. Plopa and J. Rostowski; Attachment Style Questionnaire (KSP) by M. Plopa; Permanent Disability/Chronic Disease and Accompanying Limitations Questionnaire by S. Byra, as well as author's own questionnaire.
    W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badań własnych poświęconych związkom stylów przywiązania z małżeńską satysfakcją u partnerów osób z niepełnosprawnością ruchową. Analizy zmierzały do ustalenia, jakie jest nasilenie stylów przywiązania (bezpiecznego, unikowego oraz lękowo-ambiwalentnego) oraz określenia poziomu satysfakcji ze związku w jej wymiarze ogólnym i szczegółowych (intymności, rozczarowania, samorealizacji i podobieństwa), ponadto relacji między obiema zmiennymi. Dokonano również weryfikacji znaczenia dla analizowanej relacji zmiennych, takich jak przyczyna niepełnosprawności małżonka oraz percepcja niepełnosprawności przez pełnosprawnego małżonka. Materiał badawczy uzyskano od 85 małżonków osób niepełnosprawnych na skutek urazu rdzenia, stwardnienia rozsianego, udaru mózgu i amputacji kończyny dolnej. W badaniach Zastosowano Kwestionariusz Dobranego Małżeństwa (KDM-2) w opracowaniu M. Plopy i J. Rostowskiego; Kwestionariusz Stylów Przywiązaniowych (KSP) M. Plopy; Kwestionariusz Oceny Trwałej Niepełnosprawności/Choroby Przewlekłej i Ograniczeń Towarzyszących S. Byry oraz kwestionariusz własnej konstrukcji.

    Artykuł prezentuje badania dotyczące satysfakcji z małżeństwa u małżonków pochodzących z rodzin rozbitych i niepełnych. Satysfakcja z małżeństwa zależy od wielu czynników i jednym z nich mogą być uwarunkowania rodzinne, a szczególnie „do świadczenia wyniesione z rodziny pochodzenia”. W tym kontekście proces transmisji międzypokoleniowej wzmacnia rodzinę albo ją osłabia, a korzystanie z zasobów rodziny pochodzenia może być czasem zagrożeniem dla młodszych pokoleń. Powyższe za łożenie stało się centrum prowadzonych rozważań i stanowi punkt wyjścia badań własnych. Satysfakcję z małżeństwa zdiagnozowano za pomocą Kwestionariusza Dobranego Małżeństwa (KDM-2) w opracowaniu Mieczysława Plopy i Jana Rostowskiego. Kwestionariusz opisuje jakość związku małżeńskiego w percepcji każdego z małżonków. Można nim uzyskać ogólny pomiar więzi oraz pomiary następujących czynników: intymność, samorealizacja, podobieństwo, rozczarowanie.
    The article presents the research concerning marital satisfaction of the spouses coming from from broken and incomplete families. Marital satisfaction depends on many factors; one of these can be family predispositions, especially “experience gained from the family of origin”. In this context, the process of intergenerational transmission reinforces the family or weakens it and using the resource of the family of origin can be a threat to younger generations. The foregoing assumption became a central subject of discussion and it is a starting point to this research. Marital satisfaction was ascertained using the Questionnaire of the Attuned Marriage developed by M. Plopa and J. Rostowski. The questionnaire describes the quality of the marriage as perceived by each spouse. A general measurement of the bounds and the measurement of the factors such as closeness, self-realization, similarity and disappointment can be achieved.

    Opis:
    The problem of infertility today constitutes a challenge for pastoral theology and pastoral care of families. This article, of a theological-empirical character, addresses the correlation between marital satisfaction and a sense of life’s meaning among infertile married couples who seek help in Catholic clinics for infertility treatment. It first discusses the theoretical background and selected results of existing scholarship on the influence that infertility has on conjugal relations and a sense of life’s meaning. Then, it outlines the group of infertile married individuals studied and elucidates the research methodology employed. Then, the results of the research into a sense of life’s meaning and marital satisfaction are presented, together with the correlation between the two factors. The final section of the article offers conclusions drawn from the research conducted. The article argues that a sense of life’s meaning is visibly contingent on the respondents’ martial satisfaction, especially on their working together on their problems and leading trustful conversations about them, on their care for strengthening their mutual love, and on showing the spouse that they are loved. On this basis, the article argues that pastoral care offered to infertile couples needs to enhance their faith, which will have a positive impact on their sense of life’s meaning and on their marital satisfaction. Both within regular work at clinics for infertility diagnosis and treatment and within pastoral care, infertile couples should be taught to show care for their mutual bond, especially to have conversations that will enable them to manifest and strengthen their love and solve problems, as this would foster their marital satisfaction and enhance their sense of life’s meaning.
