Przedmiotem analiz jest współpraca międzysektorowa w obszarze ekonomii społecznej. Współpraca ta jest postrzegana jako ważny czynnik rozwoju ekonomii społecznej, stanowiącej jeden z mechanizmów zmiany społecznej i odpowiedź na wyzwania związane z wykluczeniem i dezintegracją społeczną. W niniejszym artykule sformułowano pytania o rodzaje barier współpracy pomiędzy podmiotami ekonomii społecznej i podmiotami sektora biznesu na podstawie przeglądu literatury przedmiotu. Odpowiedzi przynosi przegląd literatury. Ustalenia autorów pozwalają na sformułowanie trzech rodzajów barier współpracy międzysektorowej biznesu i ekonomii społecznej. Są to bariery instytucjonalne, mentalne i operacyjne.
The study analyses cross-sector cooperation in social economy. This cooperation is perceived as an important factor in the development of social economy, which is one of the mechanisms of social change and an answer to challenges related to social exclusion and disintegration. This paper raises questions about the types of barriers to cooperation between social economy entities and business sector entities based on a literature review. The answers are provided by the literature review. The authors find that there are three types of barriers to cross-sector cooperation between business and social economy. These are institutional, mental and operational barriers.

Zakres i formy relacji międzysektorowych stanowią jeden z czynników wpływających na efekty realizacji zadań publicznych, w tym z zakresu polityki społecznej. Artykuł przed-stawia wyniki przeglądu badań dotyczących relacji międzysektorowych w Polsce prowa-dzonych w latach 2014-2016. Projekty badawcze zostały sklasyfikowane według zakresu przedmiotowego, podmiotowego, czasowego i przestrzennego, celu oraz metody badawczej. Analiza założeń metodycznych wykazała, że porównywalność danych pochodzących z poszczególnych źródeł jest bardzo ograniczona. Ponadto zaprezentowano wybrane wyniki badań oraz sformułowano rekomendacje dotyczące kierunku rozwoju badań w omawia¬nym obszarze.
Scope and forms of intersectoral relations are important determinants of public tasks performance, also in field of social policy. Review of intersectoral relations research projects that were undertaken in Poland between 2014 and 2016 is presented in the article. Projects mentioned are classified according to their scope, subject, period and research method. The methodological analysis proved that data comparability is strongly limited. Chosen research findings are also presented in the article, as well as recommendations regarding future research in the field.

Research background: Research background: Agro-food sectors are commonly considered as highly regulated, traditional and of strategic importance, mainly due to the food security issues. Changes in the related market structures are subject of constant interest because of their importance for competition and economic welfare of food producers and consumers. In Poland, a rising concentration among various branches of the food industry can be observed. Unfortunately, there is a lack of studies regarding the level of actually exerted market power. Purpose of the article: The main objective of the article was to depict the changes of the market power execution in the Polish food sector and its branches in the period 2002–2013. Methods: As a measure of market power, markups of price above the marginal cost were applied and for their estimation two methods were used, namely the Roeger method involving primal and dual Solow residuals and the method based on the marginal cost of labor. Yearly data from F-01 financial statements regarding 32 food sector branches and various accounting categories were used in the calculations. Findings & Value added: It was found that in the analyzed period the markup over marginal cost on average amounted to 9.75%, and it was increasing over time. The labor input category seemed to be not sufficient for the markup calculation. The evolution of the monopolistic power in the Polish food sector appears to be associated not only with the business cycle, but also with the sector developments accelerated by the accession to the EU. Moreover, the differences in results for the branches indicate a considerable heterogeneity in the Polish food industry companies pricing practices. The research constitutes the first trial of the measurement of both the Roeger markups in the Polish food sector branches and the labor markups changes in the Polish food sector.

The aim of this paper is to present the changes taking place in the labour market in the renewable energy sector in the period before the COVID-19 pandemic and to show the opportunities and threats for this sector as a result of the changes taking place. Therefore, the factors shaping employment in the renewable energy sector, global employment in the sector and the role of the value chain in shaping the local labour market were analysed on the ex-ample of photovoltaics. Basic methods of descriptive statistics were used for this purpose. A SWOT analysis for the renewable energy market in the context of COVID-19 considerations was also carried out.

The state and dynamics of lease land relations as the most common manifestation of market relations in Ukraine are analyzed. Some aspects of theoretical foundations of these relations and their effectiveness are considered. The results of the comparative characteristics of land relations organization on the basis of private ownership of land and its lease are presented. The influence of the lease form of land relations on the effectiveness of agricultural enterprises functioning is shown. The basic features of modern land use on lease basis in the agrarian sector of Ukraine are pointed out. The results of the analysis of the international experience of the lease relations are provided. Steps as for the improvement of lease land relations aimed at increasing of their effectiveness are grounded.
W pracy przeanalizowano stan i dynamikę relacji w zakresie dzierżawy ziemi rolnej jako najbardziej typowej relacji rynkowej w rolnictwie na Ukrainie. Przedstawione wybrane aspekty teoretycznych podstaw tych zależności oraz ich efektywność. Artykuł prezentuje wyniki analizy porównawczej organizacji zależności na rynku ziemi rolnej na podstawie na podstawie własności prywatnej. Wykazano, że dzierżawa jako nowoczesna forma gospodarowania gruntami ma wpływ na efektywność działalności gospodarczej przedsiębiorstw rolnych. W pracy scharakteryzowano podstawowe cechy współczesnych form gospodarowania nieruchomościami gruntowymi stosowanymi w rolnictwie na Ukrainie, w tym dzierżawy, i porównano te realia z międzynarodowymi. Pozwoliło to autorce artykułu opracować wytyczne do ulepszenie formy dzierżawy do poprawy efektywności działalności gospodarstw rolnych.

Despite the research conducted in this field of innovation the attempt to model the effects of communicating innovation through announcements on market value changes has not been undertaken yet. Thus the purpose of the present research was to model the relationship between communicating innovation and market value of service companies. Summary of the existing evidence relied on such methods of systematic literature studies as SALSA, one step forward and backward snowballing, meta-synthesis and mapping review procedure. In order to represent the relationship between innovation and market value in services a conceptual model is proposed. It encompasses seven innovation-level and seven firm-level predictors. It covers also interaction and second-order effects.The research was burdened with several limitations. Namely it was limited to papers published in English and included scientific articles and conference proceedings only. Further quantitative research aiming at testing the model empirically seems beneficial from the point of view of model development.

The article updates and broadens the existing body of knowledge on the creation and loss of jobs in Polish enterprises in 1996-2004. The author uses measures proposed by Davis (et al.) and a collection of data on the financial reporting of enterprises in the non-financial sector. He also calculates job creation and loss ratios. The study shows that average ratios for job creation and loss in the analyzed period ran at a relatively high level of 10.4 and 12.6 percent respectively. This indirectly shows that that the Polish labor market is relatively flexible and potential barriers only marginally apply to the creation and loss of jobs in enterprises. Moreover, the analysis shows that job flows are strictly related to economic growth. The research indicates that processes involving the creation and loss of jobs are characterized by considerable permanence. More than 80 percent of the jobs lost this year will not be recreated next year. On the other hand, in the case of job creation, only half the newly created jobs will be maintained next year.

The spread of urban policies based on a set of standardised ‘creative city’ strategies has been criticised on a number of counts. In Scott’s (2006: 11) view, focusing just on “creating a high-quality urban environment, rich in cultural amenities and conducive to diversity in local social life” is too limited. He points out that the relationship between the presence of creative people and the development of a city is far more complex. The research undertaken as part of the European ACRE project (Accommodating Creative Knowledge: Competitiveness of Metropolitan Regions within the Enlarged Union) has revealed that access to a diversity of creative-labour-market opportunities is vital to both attract and retain talent in the longer term. Accessible and inclusive networks of creative workers are also vital, but their importance is often overlooked. The functionality of such networks has a huge impact on the possibility of finding a new job, and can be particularly important for lowering entry barriers for newcomers in creative occupations. Here, these issues are explored on the basis of a research conducted among managers of creative firms and international creative-class migrants in Poznań (Poland). This city has recently experienced major economic restructuring and a shift from the manufacturing industry towards a more creative and knowledge-based one.

The population ageing is an universal problem concerning all countries in the world, not only in Europe. The main sources of this process are decreasing fertility and increasing life expectancy. The migration has additional impact on ageing in some countries. The ageing of population means many new challenges in the field of economy and society. The quality of life of older people and the entire population as well depends on how countries will meet these challenges and how societies will adapt to the changing demographic conditions. Longer life can mean activity, health and participation, but it depends on properly planned activities in many areas of social and economic life. The phenomenon of ageing and the consequences associated with them are extremely complex and multilateral issues. The presented article focuses on the comparision of the process of ageing in different continents and countries, particularly in Poland. It concerns the problem of the ageing impact on labour market and health care sector as well.

Purpose: The study’s purpose was to examine the management of agri-food enterprises’ resource-saving development to minimize potential imperfections in managing material and human resources and improve data quality. Materials and methods: A combined analysis was used to display the potential relationships between the agri-food sector achievements and basic indicators of natural resources’ sustainability and resilience to risks. The analysis covered Ukraine, Romania, and Poland. The analysis allowed for developing a general management scheme, including a management transformation comparative description in the economic growth context. Results: The study revealed that Ukraine is clearly not on the path to progress in manufacturing enterprises and agriculture, as most of its indicators do not meet global nutrition goals. At the same time, Ukraine remains an export-oriented country. Its agri-food enterprises’ activities focus on external markets, corresponding to the priorities of the country’s agricultural policy and sustainable development goals of the United Nations organization. Conclusion: The obtained results provide knowledge about and understanding of processes that occur in the agri-food enterprises’ organizational structure in countries with different development levels. The awareness of these processes is crucial for effective enterprise management in the resource conservation context.

The paper deals with the study of global financial transformations impact on the financial sector in Poland. Two types of tendencies of the global financial space development that create new conditions for national financial systems are defined,including: trends that lead to qualitative shifts in countries’ financial systems and do not necessarily imply a negative impact on the national financial systems; threatening challenges that shatter financial markets and restrain their sustainable development. The current positions of Poland’s financial sector in the world and regional financial systems are evaluated. The shifts in the national financial sector in terms of global financial transformations are found out. It is stated that while integrating into the global financial space, Poland will increasingly feel the impact of global transformations that will determine further scenarios for the domestic financial sector development. Exogenous factors that can aggravate challenges threatening the stability of Poland’s financial sector in the near future are identified.
