    In the article, the problem of the relational aspect of upbringing is presented. It is based on the assumptions of the system theory of the family and the theory of social schemes as well as the results of the author’s research on the importance of the quality of the marital relationship in the upbringing of a child in the family. The present paper supports the thesis that upbringing a child in the family takes place in a system of intra-familial relationships and that its relational aspect is expressed in numerous areas.

    Opis:
    Artykuł podejmuje problematykę religijności nupturientów oraz małżonków widzianą jako kryterium jakości narzeczeństwa i małżeństwa. Pierwsza część artykułu prezentuje kryteria dojrzałej religijności. Tylko taka bowiem religijność może być związana z kształtowaniem zarówno ogólnej jakości życia człowieka, jak również życia w związku małżeńskim. Część druga artykułu nawiązuje do teorii jakości związku autorstwa Grahama Spaniera i Roberta Lewisa. Model tych autorów uznawany jest za najszerzej obejmujący swym zakresem znaczeniowym omawiane pojęcie, czyli jakość związku małżeńskiego. Trzecia część artykułu ukazuje związki religijności z ogólną jakością małżeństwa, z komunikacją interpersonalną oraz z rozumieniem miłości.
    The article deals with the issue of the religiousness of nupturients and married couple perceived as the criterion of the quality of the engagement period and marriage. The first part of the article presents the criteria of mature religiousness. Only such religiousness may be connected with shaping the overall quality of people’s life and the quality of living in marital relationship. The second part of the article relates to the theory of the quality of marital relationship by Graham Spanier and Robert Lewis. Their model seems to be the widest-ranging in terms of the meaning of the issue in question, namely the quality of marital relationship. The third part of the article presents the connection between religiousness and the overall quality of marriage with interpersonal communication and the understanding of love.

    This study aims to identify the potential predictors (i.e., financial well-being, mindfulness, and marital duration) of relationship satisfaction among married couples in Malaysia. Respondents were 156 Malaysian married couples from different races – Malay, Chinese, Indian, and others. All respondents responded to three questionnaires which are In Charge Financial Distress/ Financial Well-Being Scale (Prawitz et al., 2006), Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale (Brown & Ryan, 2003), and Couple Satisfaction Index (Funk & Rogge, 2007). A significant positive relationship was found between financial well-being and mindfulness with relationship satisfaction, meanwhile, no statistically significant relationship was found between marital duration and relationship satisfaction. Moreover, mindfulness is established to be the strongest predictor of relationship satisfaction among married couples in Malaysia. This result emphasized the role of mindfulness within the context of development and sustainability of marital relationships satisfaction in addition to general well-being.

    Główny problemem badawczym niniejszej dotyczył percepcji relacji małżeńskiej przez żony doświadczające przemocy ze strony swoich partnerów. Relacja małżeńska została przedstawiona prze kobiety za pomocą rysunku rodziny. Uwzględniona została grupa kontrolna, do której zakwalifikowane zostały żony, nie doświadczające przemocy ze strony swoich mężów. W celu zweryfikowania postawionego problemu badawczego wykonano badanie. W badaniu wzięło udział 60 kobiet (30 doznających przemocy oraz 30 niedoświadczających przemocy ze strony swoich mężów). Badanie zostało przeprowadzone za pomocą Testu Rysunku Rodziny M. Braun-Gałkowskiej. Badania, ze względu na reprezentatywność grupy było przeprowadzone w Specjalistycznym Ośrodku Wsparcia dla Ofiar Przemocy w Rodzinie w Opolu. W celu zweryfikowania postawionych wcześniej hipotez wykorzystano następujące metody statystyczne: do analizy danych ilościowych został zastosowany Test t- Studenta, natomiast do opisu danych jakościowych użyty został testu chi kwadrat. Wyniki wskazują, że kobiety doświadczające przemocy domowej negatywnie postrzegają swój związek w małżeństwie. Ponadto ofiary przemocy domowej zwracają szczególną uwagę na brak właściwej komunikacji w związku małżeńskim i oceniają swoje relacje z mężami bardziej negatywnie niż żony z grupy kontrolnej. Jednak kobiety, które doświadczają przemocy ze strony swoich mężów, oceniają swój związek jako zadowalający, ale nie jednoznacznie pozytywny. Prezentowane badanie jest jedynie wstępem do dalszych  i przyszłych badań, ponieważ zjawisko przemocy małżeńskiej wymaga głębszej eksploatacji.
    The main issue of the presented paper concernes the perception of marriage by wives who experienced violence from their partners. The marital relationship was presented to women by means of Family Drawings Test. Research included a control group which consisted of women who have not experienced violence from their husbands. The study involved 60 women (30 who have experienced violence from their husbands and 30 who had not). The survey was conducted by the use of a The Family Drawing Test created by M. Braun-Gałkowska. Because of the representativeness of the groups, research was conducted in the Specialist Support Centre for Victims of Domestic Violence in Opole. In order to verify the posed hypotheses, the following statistical methods were used: the Student's t-test for the analysis of quantitative data and the chi-square test for the analysis of the qualitative data. Results indicate that women who experience domestic violence perceive negatively their relationship in marriage. Moreover, victims of domestic violence pay special attention to the lack of a proper communication in their marriage relationship and evaluate their relationships with their husbands more negatively than the wives from the control group. However, women who experience violence from their husbands assess their relationship, as satisfactory, but not unambiguously positive. The presented study is only an introduction for further and future researches, since the phenomenon of marital violence requires a deeper exploitation.

    Małżeństwo podniesione przez Chrystusa do rangi sakramentu nie tylko jest odpowiedzią Boga na rozłam zapoczątkowany kuszeniem przez diabła w ogrodzie Eden, przywróceniem pierwotnej jedności i nierozerwalności, ale stanowi odzwierciedlenie wewnętrznego życia i miłości Trójcy Świętej, co umożliwia małżonkom życie w postawie całkowitego daru z siebie. Oparty na wierze, nadziei i miłości związek kobiety i mężczyzny uświęcony jest obecnością i stałym towarzyszeniem posłanego przez Ojca i Syna Ducha, dzięki czemu ich codzienne zmagania egzystencjalne i trudności w walce duchowej stają się możliwe do przezwyciężenia. Sakrament małżeństwa, wzorowany na ścisłym związku Chrystusa i Kościoła oraz realizujący to przymierze miłości, stanowi przestrzeń życia, modlitwy i dawania świadectwa o miłości Boga wobec małżonków. Jako taki jest skałą, o którą rozbijają się ataki sił ciemności.
    Marriage, elevated by Christ to the rank of a sacrament, is not only God’s response to the split initiated by the devil’s temptation in the Garden of Eden, the restoration of the original unity and indissolubility, but it reflects the inner life and love of the Holy Trinity, which enables spouses to live in an attitude of total self-giving. The relationship of a woman and a man, based on faith, hope and love, is sanctified by the presence and constant accompaniment of the Spirit sent by the Father and Son, thanks to which their daily existential hardships and difficulties in spiritual struggle become possible to overcome. The sacrament of marriage, modelled on the close relationship between Christ and the Church and implementing this covenant of love, is a space for life, prayer and witness to God's love for spouses. As such, it is a rock against which the attacks of powers of darkness crash.
