Opis:
The calculations of the influence of the self-energy effects on the electron-positron (e-p) enhancement factors and the e-p momentum distributions are presented. The approach bases on the novel formulation of the Bethe- -Goldstone (B-G) equation for the positron in an electron gas where the scattering of the electrons into the states below the Fermi surface due to the self-energy effects is allowed. This equation has been solved and the corresponding e-p enhancement factors and momentum distributions have been found. The agreement between the absolute values of the theoretical calculations and experimental data has improved noticeably.

Opis:
We study many-body localization in a one dimensional optical lattice filled with bosons. The interaction between bosons is assumed to be random, which can be realized for atoms close to a microchip exposed to a spatially fluctuating magnetic field. Close to a Feshbach resonance, such controlled fluctuations can be transfered to the interaction strength. We show that the system reveals an inverted mobility edge, with mobile particles at the lower edge of the spectrum. A statistical analysis of level spacings allows us to characterize the transition between localized and excited states. The existence of the mobility edge is confirmed in large systems, by time dependent numerical simulations using tDMRG. A simple analytical model predicts the long time behavior of the system.

Opis:
Different approaches to quantum gravity proposal such as string theory, doubly special relativity, and also black holes physics, all commonly address the existence of a minimal measurable length of the order of the Planck length. One way to apply the minimal length is changing the Heisenberg algebra in the phase space which is known as the generalized uncertainty principle. It is essential to apply this feature on the statistical mechanics of many body systems in the presence of a measurable minimal length scale in order to see the roles of this natural cutoff on physical phenomena. In this paper, some details of statistical mechanics of many body systems that have not been studied carefully in literature are studied in the presence of minimal length scale. The issues such as isomerization, the Liouville theorem, virial theorem and equipartition theorem are studied in this setup with details and the results are explained thoroughly.
