    Miłość małżeńska przedstawiana jest przez różne dyscypliny naukowe jako fundament życia małżeńskiego. Teologia oraz psychologia, choć wykazują podobieństwa w interpretacji miłości, to jednak dla obu dyscyplin naukowych są to różne pojęcia. Zasadnicza różnica dotyczy źródeł jej pochodzenia. Teologia wskazuje na Boga, natomiast dla psychologii to relacja pojawiająca się jedynie między małżonkami. Dla teologii miłość małżeńska jest fundamentem sakramentalnego związku, jest podstawowym i wrodzonym powołaniem każdej osoby ludzkiej. Realizowana w małżeństwie prowadzi do świętości małżonków. Psychologia natomiast w miłości małżeńskiej widzi warunek podnoszenia jakości i stabilności związku mężczyzny i kobiety. Artykuł podejmuje analizę miłości małżeńskiej z perspektywy obu dyscyplin naukowych w życiu świętych małżonków: Luigiego i Marii Quattrocchi oraz Louisa i Zelii Martin. Dwie części artykułu prezentują kolejno teologiczne oraz psychologiczne rozumienie miłości. Natomiast w części trzeciej artykułu zawarte zostały przykłady miłości małżeńskiej w życiu obu małżeństw. Wypowiedzi pochodzące z listów małżeńskich i rodzinnych to realna rozmowa członków rodziny czyniona na użytek własny, domowy. Teksty źródłowe o charakterze autobiograficznym potwierdzają miłość małżeńską w życiu obu par w ujęciu teologicznym i psychologicznym.
    Love in marriage is presented by different scientific disciplines as a foundation of married life. Although theology and psychology reveal similar meaning of love, they are different approaches for both scientific disciplines. The sources of love constitute the key difference. Theology points to God as the source of love, while psychology sees love as a relationship between spouses. For theology, conjugal love is the foundation of the sacramental relationship, it is the basic and innate vocation of every human person – realized in marriage, leads to the sanctity of the spouses. Psychology, on the other hand, recognizes spousal love as a requirement for improving the quality and stability of the relationship between a man and a woman. The article evaluates marital love from the perspective of both scientific disciplines in the lives of holy spouses: Luigi and Maria Quattrocchi, and also Louis and Zelie Martin. The two parts of the article successively present theological and psychological understanding of love. While the third part of the article introduces examples of love in marriage in the life of both couples. Statements from marital and family correspondence form a real conversation between family members conducted for private, domestic reasons. The source texts of an autobiographical character confirm the presence of marital love in the lives of both couples in its theological and psychological understanding.

    Opis:
    The aim of the article is to discuss the understanding of human sexuality evinced by a group of Kenyan Catholics from the methodological perspective of pastoral theology, pointing out certain conclusions and pastoral suggestions. The article comprises the following parts: theological-normative, sociological, and theological-postulating. The first synthetically presents human sexuality from the point of view of the teaching of the Catholic Church, the second discusses methodology and results of the conducted empirical research, while the third presents conclusions and suggestions for pastoral care of families. The research results show that the majority of respondents shared Catholic convictions on sexuality. However, less than half of the respondents believed that love of a man and a woman serves to transmit life to children and that true love of a man and woman requires an indissoluble marriage. A quite high percentage of respondents did not agree that sexual intercourse aims to forge a psychological and spiritual bond between the partners. Women more rarely than men shared Catholic convictions on human sexuality and more rarely than men believed that a human being should not be used as if he/ she was an object. This may show women’s lack of access to education as well as a strong impact of local traditional cultural models on their understanding of the role of women. These results point to some missionary-pastoral challenges, especially as regards education of youth, spouses, and spouses-to-be, as well as that of clergy, catechists, and lay employees of family ministry.

    Artykuł podejmuje zagadnienie ujęć teologii małżeństwa w adhortacjach Familiaris consortio oraz Amoris laetitia z punktu widzenia duszpasterstwa. Podjęty problem rozwiązywany jest przede wszystkim za pomocą metody analizy porównawczej tekstów źródłowych. W pierwszej części artykułu przedstawiono refleksję na temat kontynuacji oraz rozwoju nauczania w Kościele. Ciągłość tego rozwoju przypomina wzrost organizmu żywego, który poprzez różne etapy dochodzi do form coraz dojrzalszych. W podobny sposób adhortacja Amoris laetitia, wychodząc od nauczania zawartego w Familiaris consortio, rozwija je zgodnie ze specyficznym, nowym podejściem papieża Franciszka, przestawionym w adhortacji Evangelii Gaudium. Druga część artykułu pokazuje, że Amoris laetitia wpisuje się w tradycję nauczania Kościoła na temat małżeństwa i rodziny, współbrzmiąc z takimi dokumentami, jak: soborowa konstytucja Gaudium et spes, encyklika Humanae vitae Pawła VI, list do rodzin Gratissimam sane Jana Pawła II, a przede wszystkim adhortacja Familiaris consortio. Obydwa analizowane w artykule dokumenty postulują koncentrację na konkretnych życiowych realiach oraz przedstawiają wspólny ideał małżeństwa chrześcijańskiego, jego sakramentalności i otwartości na życie. Trzecia część artykułu, koncentrując się szczególnie na podejściu do tzw. sytuacji „nieregularnych”, pokazuje, w jaki sposób Amoris laetitia jest rozwinięciem nauczania Familiaris consortio. Rozwój doktryny przedstawiono w szerszym kontekście, prezentując nauczanie Franciszka jako kolejny etap na drodze zapoczątkowanej przez jego poprzedników, uwzględniającej „prawo stopniowości”, rozeznanie osobiste i duszpasterskie oraz integrację wiernych w sytuacjach niedoskonałych. Przeprowadzone analizy wykazały, że adhortacje Familiaris consortio oraz Amoris laetitia stanowią dwa istotne kroki na drodze Kościoła posoborowego, wyznaczonej przez konstytucję Gaudium et spes, oraz że pomiędzy dokumentami widać wyraźnie ciągłość oraz rozwój nauczania.
    The article addresses the problem of the relationship between the theology of marriage in the exhortations Familiaris Consortio and Amoris Laetitia from the pastoral point of view, using primarily the method of comparative analysis of source texts. The first part of the article presents a reflection on the continuity and development of teaching in the Church. The continuity of this development resembles the growth of a living organism, which through various stages reaches ever more mature forms. In a similar way, the exhortation Amoris Laetitia, starting from the teaching contained in the Familiaris Consortio, develops them in accordance with the specific new approach of Pope Francis presented in the exhortation Evangelii Gaudium. The second part of the article shows that Amoris laetitia is part of the tradition of the Church's teaching on marriage and the family, resonating with such documents as: the conciliar constitution Gaudium et Spes, the encyclical letter Humanae Vitae of Paul VI, a letter to the families Gratissimam Sane of John Paul II, and above all the exhortation Familiaris Consortio. Both documents analyzed postulate concentration on specific life realities, and also present the common ideal of Christian marriage, its sacramentality and openness to life. The third part of the article shows how Amoris Laetitia is a development of the teaching of Familiaris Consortio, focusing in particular on the approach to the so-called "irregular" situations. The doctrine’s development is presented in a broader context, showing the teaching of Francis as the subsequent stage on the path started by his predecessors, taking into account the “law of gradualness”, personal and pastoral discernment and the integration of the faithful in imperfect situations. The analysis shows that Familiaris Consortio and Amoris Laetitia are two important steps on the path of the post-conciliar Church set out by the constitution Gaudium et Spes, and continuity and development of teaching are clearly visible between the documents.
