    The paper describes Polish coal market and presents the organization of the coal distribution in mining companies. Presented analysis was conducted on the example of Katowicki Holding Węglowy. The results allowed the authors to identify methods of distribution that will enable companies to survive in a competitive market.

    Aim: Running a business is correlated with incurring costs. These are related to the management of resources in enterprises, which is why they must be constantly analysed and controlled. Based on cost information, certain management decisions are made. The aim of the article is to present basic issues concerning the functioning of distribution costs in an enterprise. Design/methodology/approach: An analysis of a company's activities in terms of distribution costs was conducted. In addition, the article defines the logistical indicators and measures of an enterprise and presents expenses incurred for training in specific years. Determinations: The article presents the allocation of primary distribution costs, which are divided into storage costs, transport costs, inventory maintenance costs, and administrative costs through conducting an interview in the enterprise. Originality/Value: The results of the study can be used in the company's strategic distribution decisions.

Artykuł ma na celu pokazanie rynku magazynowego w wybranych miejscach Polsce oraz ryzyka związanego z zarządzaniem magazynem wyrobów gotowych.
    The risk is seen as a threat to a non-established by the company. If one of them is effective inventory management of finished products, it is to be expected with certain difficulties due to the distribution of products. A lot of competition on the market causes increasing sales problems, and hence the deposition of finished products in stock. Such a situation may lead to an increase in storage costs and a deterioration in the overall financial health of the company. The article is intended to show the warehouse market in selected locations around Poland and the risks associated with the management of the finished products warehouse.

    Artykuł przedstawia wyniki badań odzwierciedlające wpływ sprzedaży wielokanałowej na decyzje logistyczne związane z dystrybucją towarów w handlu elektronicznym. Publikacja składa się z trzech części. W pierwszej została przedstawiona istota ekonomii subskrypcji jako współczesnego zjawiska gospodarczego, druga część zawiera wyniki badań odzwierciedlające właściwości elektronicznych kanałów dystrybucji, natomiast trzecia przedstawia główne modele dystrybucji fizycznej w handlu elektronicznym. Wśród oczekiwań klientów, uczestniczących w handlu elektronicznym, dominują: łatwość budowania asortymentu, pełny przekaz informacji rynkowych, łatwość zakupu i szybkość dostawy zakupionego produktu, łatwość wykonania zwrotu towaru. Zatem takie uwarunkowania logistycznej obsługi klientów tworzą sytuację problemową, która w zasadniczy sposób zdeterminowała badania i układ treści jako efektu tych badań.
    The content of the article presents the results of research reflecting the impact of multi-channel sales on logistic decisions related to the distribution of goods in e-commerce. The article consists of three parts. In the first of these, the essence of the subscription economics as a modern economic phenomenon was presented. The second part contains the results of research reflecting the properties of electronic distribution channels. The third part presents the main models of physical distribution in e-commerce. Among the expectations of customers participating in e-commerce, the following prevail: ease of building the assortment, full transfer of market information, ease of purchase and speed of delivery of the purchased product, ease of returning the goods. Therefore, such determinants of logistic customer service create a problem situation that fundamentally determined the research and the arrangement of content as the effect of these studies.

    W artykule opisano próbę usprawnienia logistyki dystrybucji w przedsiębiorstwie branży kurierskiej, która umożliwiłaby skrócenie czasu oraz zredukowanie kosztów doręczenia przesyłek. Badania prowadzono na przełomie roku 2015/2016. Rozdział pierwszy zawiera wprowadzenie. Rozdział drugi zawiera analizę literatury i opis metod użytych w projekcie. Trzeci rozdział poświęcony jest analizie procesu przemieszczania przesyłek i określeniu jego etapów krytycznych. W tym rozdziale zaprezentowano także opracowaną propozycję rozwiązania usprawniającego, oraz porównanie jego wyników z sytuacją w firmie. Zbadano także ryzyko wystąpienia błędów podczas procesu wdrożenia rozwiązania. Ostatni rozdział zawiera podsumowanie pracy oraz wnioski. Analizowanym przedsiębiorstwem jest firma kurierska, znajdująca się w pierwszej dziesiątce największych firm tej branży w Polsce. Danymi wejściowymi do pracy są listy doręczeń kuriera tego przedsiębiorstwa z przeciągu tygodnia roboczego.
    The purpose of this paper is an attempt to elaborate an improvement of the distribution logistics subsystem, which would provide decrease of delivery time and cost reduction. Research conducted at the turn of the year 2015/2016. The first chapter contains introduction. The second chapter contains literature analysis and description of method used during work on project. The third chapter is about analysis of parcels transportation process and selection of it’s critical stages. This part of chapter includes presentation of suggested improvement and comparisson of this solution and situation found in enterprise. It also contains the analysis of the risk of threats to the implementation process. In the last chapter there are summary and conclusions. The analyzed organization is a courier company, which is placed in top ten companies of polish courier services market. The project in this thesis is based on input data, which is courier delivery lists among the working week.

    Przedstawiono funkcje logistyki dystrybucji w procesie sprzedaży części zamiennych do ciągników i maszyn rolniczych. Scharakteryzowano program lojalnościowy, jako metodę kształtowania popytu na części zamienne. Badania ilości wystawionych dokumentów sprzedaży części zamiennych, w postaci faktur VAT i paragonów fiskalnych, wykonano w przedsiębiorstwie handlowo-usługowym, które jest autoryzowanym dystrybutorem w branży rolniczej. Cykl zrealizowanych badań obejmował lata 2006-2010. W Dziale Handlowym firmy zarejestrowano ogółem 11 261 dokumentów sprzedaży części zamiennych do pojazdów i maszyn rolniczych. Rozkład ilości faktur i paragonów fiskalnych przedstawiono i scharakteryzowano w układzie miesięcznym oraz opracowano jego strukturę w okresach kwartalnych. Wyniki badań opracowano statystycznie przy wykorzystaniu programu R wersja 2.14.1 dla Windows, wyznaczając trend, wahania przypadkowe i wahania sezonowe. Analizę statystyczną struktury dokumentów wykonano korzystając z modelu multiplikatywnego składowych szeregu czasowego. Rozkład ilości faktur i paragonów, wykazał zmienne i niestabilne zapotrzebowanie na części zamienne w poszczególnych miesiącach badanych lat. Trend posiadał zmienny przebieg z radykalnym wzrostem po wprowadzeniu programu lojalnościowego. Rozkłady czasowe sprzedaży części poddano analizie w aspekcie kalendarza zabiegów agrotechnicznych. Stwierdzono, że wahania sezonowe wywołują wysoką redukcję zapotrzebowania na części w początkowych i końcowych miesiącach roku, Wzrost popytu generują wiosenne zabiegi agrotechniczne. Wahania sezonowe powodują maksymalny wzrost zapotrzebowanie na części zamienne w okresie żniw i jesiennych prac polowych.
    Functions of distribution logistics in the process of tractors and agricultural machines spare parts sale have been presented. A loyalty programme, as a method of demand for spare parts shaping, was described. Examinations of the quantity of the issued documents of spare parts sale, such as VAT invoices and fiscal receipts, were carried out in a trading-servicing enterprise, which is an authorised distributor of the agricultural branch. The cycle of the analysed examinations covered the years 2006-2010. In the Sales Department of the company the total number of 11 261 sales documents concerning spare parts for farm machines was recorded. The distribution of quantities of invoices and fiscal receipts was presented and characterised in monthly terms, and its structure was prepared in quarterly terms. The results of the survey were subject to the statistical analysis with the use of the R program version 2.14.1 for Windows, with a determination of the trend, and random and seasonal fluctuations. The statistical analysis of the documents' structure was made with the use of the multiplicative model of time series components. The distribution of the number of invoices and receipts showed a changing and unstable demand for spare parts in particular months of the surveyed years. The course of the trend was varied, with a radical increase after introducing the loyalty programme. Temporal breakdowns of spare parts sales were analysed in the context of the calendar of agro-technical operations. It was concluded that seasonal fluctuations cause a considerable decline in demand for parts in the initial and final months of the year, while spring agro-technical operations generate a rise in demand. Seasonal fluctuations cause a maximum increase in demand for spare parts during harvest and autumn fieldwork.

    The effectiveness of the transportation system aids in the successful economic development of any nation, as studies by foreign scientists have shown that road transport is one of the most critical contributors to budget revenue. Nevertheless, the quality of the products and services offered to the end user affects any company's reputation, market share, and financial stability. Being proactive is essential to ensuring low-risk impact, which entails developing a risk management plan to support the operation through well-defined policies and practices. On the one hand, the company will thus be able to differentiate itself in an often competitive market by implementing an effective shipping protocol that considers and plans risks; on the other hand, it will guarantee its customers a timely delivery, as planned. This article focuses on the various problems affecting the distribution supply chain and the negative consequences for the company's image and financial performance.

    Przedstawiono zadania logistyki dystrybucji w obszarze obsługi klienta. Omówiono przeglądy przed sprzedażą (zerowe) pojazdów rolniczych, wykonywane przez punkty serwisowe. Badania przeprowadzono w dziale serwisu autoryzowanego dystrybutora pojazdów rolniczych. Cykl badań obejmował obsługę serwisową pojazdów rolniczych w latach 2003-2010. Wyniki badań opracowano metodą statystyczną z wykorzystaniem programu R (wersja 2.14.1), wyznaczając trend, wahania przypadkowe i wahania sezonowe. Rozkłady czasowe przeglądów przed sprzedażą pojazdów poddano analizie w aspekcie kalendarza zabiegów agrotechnicznych.
    Paper presents the distribution logistics tasks in the sphere of customer service. Pre-sale technical inspections (zero-inspections) of agricultural machines and vehicles, done by the service stations, were discussed. Observations were carried out at the Service Department of an authorized distributor of farm machines. Cycle of investigations included the technical service of agricultural vehicles and machines within the years 2003-2010. Obtained results were processed statistically with the use of R programme (2.14.1 version), determining the trend, accidental and seasonal fluctuations. Time-tables of the pre-sale inspections were analysed in aspect of agrotechnical procedure calendar.

    The paper deals with the implementation of research concerning the collection routes of a selected company and subsequent streamlining processes in the field of distribution logistics. Specifically, the paper is focused on the optimization of collection routes of textile waste for the customer, i.e., a contractual partner of the company under investigation. The objective of the paper is to analyse step by step the current state of logistics of supplying a specific warehouse, followed by the application of the centre of gravity method for proposing a warehouse relocation. Finally, the individual routes to collection points are optimized. In general, optimization is done for two basic reasons: profit maximization and logistics costs minimization, which ultimately has a positive impact on earnings. The outcome is to determine the optimal routes with respect to costs and traffic while considering complications that may occur in a given transport territory.

    The article presents variants of shaping cross-docking facilities in which products from the dairy industry are served. Due to the type of goods, it is important to shorten the supply chain, as the products quickly turn sour or change consistency. The cross-docking method is defined as the distribution of goods, which eliminates the stage related to product storage in the supply chain. The goods go from suppliers to the facility, where they are properly consolidated and then directly shipped to a given recipient, in accordance with his order. The technical object aims to simplify the network of connections between them. Thanks to the cross-docking solution, it is possible to obtain shorter order fulfillment times and reduce the costs associated with the storage of goods. The use of appropriate technology in a cross-docking facility improves the flow of cargo, increases process safety and improves efficiency. Considering the dairy industry products, you should also pay attention to the rules and legal regulations that play a very important role in the transport of goods in order to maintain the cold chain.
    W artykule przedstawiono warianty kształtowania obiektów cross-dockingowych, w których obsługiwane są produkty z branży mleczarskiej. Ze względu na rodzaj towaru ważne jest skrócenie łańcucha dostaw, ponieważ produkty w niekontrolowanych warunach szybko kwaśnieją lub zmieniają konsystencję. Metoda cross-docking definiowana jest jako dystrybucja towaru, która eliminuje etap związany z magazynowaniem produktów w łańcuchu dostaw. Towar trafia od dostawców do obiektu, gdzie jest odpowiednio konsolidowany, a następnie bezpośrednio wysyłany do danego odbiorcy, zgodnie z jego zamówieniem. Obiekt techniczny ma na celu uproszczenie sieci połączeń między nimi. Dzięki rozwiązaniu cross-docking możliwe jest uzyskanie krótszych czasów realizacji zamówień oraz obniżenie kosztów związanych z magazynowaniem towaru. Zastosowanie odpowiedniej technologii w obiekcie cross-dockingowym poprawia przepływ ładunków, zwiększa bezpieczeństwo procesu i poprawia wydajność. Mając na uwadze produkty branży mleczarskiej należy również zwrócić uwagę na zasady i regulacje prawne, które odgrywają bardzo ważną rolę w transporcie towarów w celu utrzymania łańcucha chłodniczego.

    Opis:
    Purpose: The purpose of this article is to present the problems and challenges faced by organisation of distribution logistics with a selected example. Comparing the company to the competition and focusing on the problems and challenges faced by the studied enterprise on the market of fast-moving consumer goods. Design/methodology/approach: The subject of the study is the evaluation of distribution channels of the selected enterprise through the analytical and point method. Findings: The obtained results, thanks to the use of the analytical-point method and the efficiency index of distribution channels, indicate that for the surveyed enterprise, Eurocash distribution channels are not sufficiently effective. The indicator of distribution costs in sales compared to the competition is the highest. Several factors had an impact on such results. Research limitations/implications: However, the issues presented in the paper regarding the problems and challenges of distribution organization cannot be considered as exhaustive, because the discussed topics constitute a multifaceted and interdisciplinary research area. The study would be more complete if the management of distribution logistics on the FMCG market were presented based on the changes caused by the Sars-Cov-19 pandemic. Practical implications: The conducted research draws attention to the effectiveness of distribution channels on the FMCG market. The article may be useful for enterprises providing services in this business sector. Social implications: The article shows the importance of making decisions in the area of distribution processes that significantly affect the entire supply chain, and thus customer service. The use of optimal distribution channels affects the efficiency of logistics services, contributing to an improvement in the quality of service provided to the final recipient and the competitiveness of the company on the FMCG market. Originality/value: The work is addressed to entrepreneurs operating in the FMCG industry. As well as all those interested in the subject of logistics, management and distribution on the market of fast-moving consumer goods.

    W artykule przedstawiono tematykę systemowego ujęcia logistyki miejskiej jako bytu nadrzędnego względem dystrybucji ładunków w mieście. Przedstawiono niezbędne definicje i dokonano charakteryzacji jej elementów. Omówiono koncepcję fizycznej dystrybucji dóbr oraz zaprezentowano podstawowe schematy funkcjonowania wraz ze wskazaniem wad i zalet. Najważniejszą częścią artykułu jest wnikliwa, wielowymiarowa analiza specyfiki miejskiego transportu ładunków, poparta licznymi przykładami, przedstawionymi na fotografiach pochodzących z prywatnego archiwum autora. Wskazano również wiodące trendy w dziedzinie poprawy efektywności dostaw.
    This article presents a systemic view of city logistics as an entity superior to urban freight distribution. The necessary definitions are presented and its elements are characterised. The concept of physical distribution of goods is discussed and the basic schemes of functioning are presented, along with their advantages and disadvantages. The most important part of the article is a thorough, multidimensional analysis of the specifics of urban freight transport, illustrated with numerous examples, in many cases presented with photographs from the author’s private archive. Leading trends in improving delivery efficiency are also identified.

    Artykuł podejmuje problematykę poprawy efektywności dostaw ładunków w zabytkowych centrach dużych miast i aglomeracji przy wykorzystaniu rowerów towarowych. Stanowi on opis wybranych zagadnień wchodzących w zakres rozprawy doktorskiej autora [1]. W artykule zaprezentowano model matematyczny systemu dostaw, w ramach którego zidentyfikowane zostały następujące elementy: kryterium oceny efektywności systemu, model popytu na dostawę ładunków, metody trasowania pojazdów oraz metody wyboru lokalizacji punktów przeładunkowych. Wszystkie elementy zostały scharakteryzowane w późniejszych częściach tekstu. Zaproponowano podejście do ewaluacji systemów dostaw ładunków poprzez identyfikację wskaźnika oceny efektywności uwzględniającego wymiar ekonomiczny procesu technologicznego oraz założenia strategii zrównoważonego rozwoju. Sformalizowano sposób obliczenia poszczególnych składowych wskaźnika oceny efektywności. Część badawcza obejmuje charakteryzację dwóch eksperymentów symulacyjnych przeprowadzonych za pomocą specjalnie stworzonego oprogramowania. Pierwszy z nich zrealizowano przy wykorzystaniu zaproponowanej metody analizy statystycznej wskaźnika oceny efektywności oraz heurystycznej metody środka ciężkości. Dotyczył on wyznaczenia lokalizacji punktu przeładunkowego na potrzeby rowerowego systemu dystrybucji. Drugi natomiast polegał na ocenie trzech metod marszrutyzacji (algorytmu oszczędzania Clarke’a–Wrighta, symulowanego wyżarzania i algorytmu genetycznego) w kontekście wartości przyjętego wskaźnika oceny efektywności. Jego przebieg odbywał się zgodnie z opracowanym planem eksperymentu pełno-czynnikowego, uwzględniającego zmienność popytu na przewozy ładunków. Całość zakończono wnioskami płynącymi z zaprezentowanej pracy badawczej, a także zaproponowano dalsze kierunki badań i rozwoju tematyki.
    The article deals with the issue of improving the efficiency of cargo delivery in agglomerations, using cargo bikes. It is a description of selected issues falling within the scope of the dissertation with the same title. The article presents a mathematical model of the delivery system, including elements that have been identified: the criterion for evaluating the system’s effectiveness, the model of demand for the cargo delivery, the methods of vehicle routing and the methods of choosing the reloading points’ location. An approach to the evaluation of cargo delivery systems w as proposed by identifying an efficiency assessment indicator, which takes into account the economic dimension of the technological process and the assumptions of the sustainable development strategy. The research includes the characteristics of two simulation experiments. First was conducted using the proposed method of statistical analysis of the effectiveness evaluation indicator and the heuristic method – the center of gravity method. Second was consisted in evaluating three vehicle routing methods. The article was summed up with conclusions from the presented research. Moreover, further directions of research and development of the subject were proposed.
