The growing needs related to the protection of the natural environment have become the main premise for the logistics service providers to modify the market offer towards solutions that are not only economically effective, but also responsible for the environment. The article identifies the determinants of the development of green logistics practices on the Polish TSL market in the context of ecological and economic effects achieved due to their implementation to the activities of enterprises. The assumed goal was achieved by exemplifying practical solutions applied on the TSL market in Poland and empirical studies carried out in the group of small and medium-sized enterprises

W artykule przedstawiona została charakterystyka podmiotów działających na rynku usług logistycznych oraz zakres i kryteria oceny realizowanych usług. W szczególności uwaga została zwrócona na usługi KEP (kurierskie, ekspresowe, paczkowe), których oferentami są operatorzy logistyczni, działający na polskim rynku. Przeprowadzona została także analiza i ocena porównawcza oferowanych usług kurierskich przez wybranych operatorów, w serwisie krajowym. Analiza ofert badanych firm kurierskich została dokonana według wybranych kryteriów.
This paper presents the characteristics of entities operating in the logistics market, and the scope and criteria for the evaluation of the services provided. In particular, attention has been paid to the CEP (courier, express, parcels) services, where the services providers are logistics operators, operating on the Polish market.The analysis and comparative evaluation of the courier services offered by all service providers in the domestic service has been carried out. The analysis of the offers of the surveyed companies wasbased on selected criteria.

The discussion about competition and cooperation, especially for road transport, in the fields of pure competition, incomplete competition and sustainable market economy has the following results: In pure competition there is only price competition. There is no quality competition and no co-operation. Theoretical pure competition leads to equilibrium, but the conditions of pure competition have no relevance for practice. So it is clear, pure competition has no evidence for practice and cannot be used to ensure equilibrium in practice. In incomplete competition there is price, and quality competition as well as cooperation. But incomplete competition is not able to realize equilibrium neither in theory nor in practice. In sustainable market economy there is no price and no quality competition, but co-operation. It is possible to establish equilibria in theory and practice. But no state has realized sustainable market economy until now. Sustainable market economy without competition but with co-operation is a concept for road transport, because in this field we have already a lot of co-operation. It could be possible to ensure optimal market situations with equilibrium and optimal welfare.
W przypadku transportu samochodowego porusza się tematy czystej konkurencji, niepełnej konkurencji i zrównoważonej gospodarki rynkowej. W wyniku dyskusji na temat konkurencji i współpracy formułowane są następujące wnioski. W czystej konkurencji jest tylko konkurencja cenowa. Nie ma konkurencji pod względem jakości i współpracy. Teoretycznie czysta konkurencja prowadzi do równowagi, ale warunki czystej konkurencji nie mają odniesienia do praktyki. W niepełnej konkurencji występuje cenowa i jakościowa konkurencja oraz współpraca. Niekompletna konkurencja nie jest jednak w stanie stworzyć równowagi w teorii oraz w praktyce W zrównoważonej gospodarce rynkowej nie występuje cenowa i jakościowa konkurencja, ale jest współpraca. Istnieje możliwość uzyskania równowagi w teorii i w praktyce. Żadne państwo dotychczas nie zrealizowało zrównoważonej gospodarki rynkowej. Zrównoważona gospodarka rynkowa bez konkurencji, ale ze współpracą jest koncepcją dla transportu samochodowego, ponieważ w tej dziedzinie mamy już sporo przykładów współpracy. Istnieje możliwość zapewnienia optymalnej sytuacji rynkowej z zachowaniem równowagi i optymalną opieką.

Rynek powierzchni magazynowych w Polsce charakteryzuje się stałym rozwojem. Już w 2016 roku podpisano umowy najmu na ponad 3 mln m2. Wyniki notowane w sektorze nieruchomości magazynowych z roku na rok są coraz lepsze, a modernizacja łańcuchów dostaw, poprawa jakości dostępu do infrastruktury oraz konsumpcja wymusza na deweloperach inwestycje w nowe budynki. Wysoka absorpcja powierzchni, a także duża liczba inwestycji nie zwiększa natomiast liczby pustostanów na terenie Polski. Celem artykułu jest ukazanie aktualnej sytuacji na rynku powierzchni magazynowych w Polsce w artykule wymienione zostały cele funkcjonowania wymienionych obiektów logistycznych, a także przedstawiono perspektywy rozwoju tego segmentu rynku.
Warehouse space market in Poland is still developing. In 2016 where signed rental agreements for over 3 milions square metres. The results in real estate warehouse market year by year is better, modernization of a supply chains, better quality of accessibility to infrastructure and bigger consumption force on developers investments in new buildings. High absorption warehouse space markets and a big numer of investments, do not foreshorten the amount of vacant buildings in whole Poland. This article shows current situation on a warehouse space market in Poland and also included the purpose of working enumerate logistics objects and prospects of development this market.

Rynek powierzchni logistycznych w Polsce znajduje się w doskonałej kondycji. W ostatnich latach obserwuje się ciągły wzrost dostępnych zasobów nowoczesnej powierzchni magazynowej. Jednocześnie stawki czynszów utrzymują się na niskim, stabilnym poziomie. Obecnie coraz więcej przedsiębiorstw decyduje się na przeniesienie do obiektów typu build-to-suit. W przeciwieństwie do inwestycji spekulacyjnych są one projektowane z myślą o specyficznych potrzebach przyszłego, konkretnego użytkownika. W niniejszej pracy krótko przedstawiono aktualne tendencje występujące na rynku magazynowym w Polsce. Zasadniczą część stanowi przedstawienie przykładu przeniesienia działalności firmy z dotychczasowego obiektu do magazynu typu BTS. Opisano najważniejsze z zastosowanych nowoczesnych rozwiązań. Przybliżono przyczyny oraz korzyści płynące z podjęcia takiej decyzji biznesowej.
Polish market of the warehouse spaces is in a superb shape and develops rapidly. The continued growth in resources of the available modern warehouse space is surveyed in the recent years. At the same time the rental fees remain on the low, stable level. Currently, more and more companies opt for transfer to build-to-suit facilities. They are designed with idiosyncratic requirements of future, particular users in mind, as opposed to speculative investments. The paper presents shortly the prevailing tendencies on the warehouses market. The pivotal part is constituted by presentation of example of transfer the company from the foregoing warehouse to the modern BTS facility. The most important applied innovative solutions were described. The reasons and the advantages ot such a decision were drawn close.

Opis:
The article analyzes the importance of the energy factor in the system of relations between United States and Russia. It defines the role and place of the oil monarchies of the Persian Gulf, as well as Iraq and Iran in the energy policies of the United States of America and the Russian Federation. The paper discussed the conceptual content of the energy factor as a foreign policy tool, which can simultaneously act as an element of “hard” and “soft power”. The mechanism of the formation of the United States of a regional network on the system of so-called “energy outposts.” The author analyzed the basic mechanisms of the US-Russian energy dialogue in the Gulf region, as well as highlighted reasons for the rise of competitive confrontation between the superpowers in the energy sector of the region and presents main directions of Russian-American cooperation and competition in the energy sector of the Gulf States.
В статье исследовано значение энергетического фактора в системе межгосударственных отношений США и России. Определены роль и место нефтяных монархий Персидского залива, а также Ирака и Ирана в энергетической политике Соединенных Штатов Америки и Российской Федерации. Рассмотрено концептуальное содержание энергетического фактора как инструмента внешней политики, который одновременно может выступать элементом «жесткой» и «мягкой силы». Изучен механизм формирования Соединенными Штатами региональной сети государств, по системе так называемых «энергетических форпостов». Проанализированы основные механизмы российско-американского энергодиалога в регионе Персидского залива, а также выделены причины, способствующие нарастанию конкурентного противостояния сверхдержав в энергетической сфере указанного региона. Определены основные направления российско-американского сотрудничества и конкуренции в энергетическом секторе государств Персидского залива.

Background: A professional future is the next logical step after a student completes their chosen degree course. More frequently, even during their studies, young people seek opportunities to participate in various conferences, training courses, internships, work placements, and to travel abroad, etc. All of this has one main goal - to increase the student's attractiveness as a potential employee on the labour market. Thus, it becomes very important to ask relevant and timely questions to students about the knowledge they gain during their studies, the skills they possess and how they perceive their future work. Methods: This paper presents the views of students of logistics and related disciplines regarding their future careers. The aim of this study was to investigate the expectations, skills and visions of the future of the young generation who stand at the threshold of their careers, in two countries - Poland and Ukraine. The test method used for collecting opinions was a questionnaire. Results: This paper recognises key elements of young people's perception of the labour market. They present a brief theoretical discussion on the issue in question. The authors present the results of the comparison of attitudes of students from two universities in Poland and in Ukraine, in four areas: Participant's Profiles; Professional Attractiveness; Obtained Knowledge and Skills; Employment. Conclusions: Contemporary logistics requires professionals of the highest calibre, which is confirmed by many respected authorities. The research results show a preview of the preferences of students of logistics and related disciplines in terms of future work, and give information about the knowledge they gained during their studies. Comparison of the two groups of participants from different countries gives the opportunity to observe the aspirations and visions of each , as well as propose recommendations aimed at signalling the possibility of improving the situation of graduates in relation to their future employment.
Wstęp: Przyszłość zawodowa to kolejny logiczny krok studenta po ukończeniu obranego kierunku studiów. Coraz częściej, jeszcze w trakcie realizowanych studiów, młodzi ludzie poszukują możliwości uczestniczenia w różnego rodzaju konferencjach, szkoleniach, stażach, praktykach, wyjazdach za granicę itp. Wszystkie podejmowane w tym zakresie działania mają na myśli główny cel - zwiększyć swoją atrakcyjność jako potencjalnego pracownika na rynku pracy. Niezwykle ważnym więc staje się postawienie istotnych i aktualnych pytań w kierunku studenta, dotyczących pozyskiwanej w trakcie studiów wiedzy, posiadanych umiejętności czy też postrzegania swojej przyszłej pracy. Metody: Niniejszy artykuł prezentuje poglądy studentów kierunku logistyka i jej pokrewnych w stosunku ich przyszłej pracy zawodowej. Celem prowadzonych badań było poznanie oczekiwań, kompetencji i wizji przyszłości młodego pokolenia, które stoi u progu kariery zawodowej, w dwóch państwach - Polsce i Ukrainie. Metoda badawcza, która była zastosowana do zebrania opinii to kwestionariusz ankiety. Wyniki: Artykuł ujmuje główne przesłanki dyktowane przez rynek pracy dla młodych osób. Przedstawiają krótkie teoretyczne rozważania na temat podjętego problemu. Autorzy przedstawiają wyniki porównawcze opinii studentów dwóch uczelni wyższych w Polsce i Ukrainie w czterech obszarach: Profil Respondenta; Atrakcyjność zawodowa; Uzyskane wiedzy i umiejętności; Zatrudnienie. Wnioski: Współczesna logistyka wymaga specjalistów najwyższej jakości, co potwierdza wiele znanych autorytetów. Badania ukazują podgląd na preferencje studentów kierunku logistyka i jej pokrewnych w zakresie przyszłej pracy, a także przekazują informację na temat pozyskiwanej w czasie studiów wiedzy. Porównanie dwóch grup studentów uczelni wyższych z różnych państw daje możliwość zaobserwowania aspiracji i wizji każdej z nich, a także wysunąć rekomendacje, mające na celu zasygnalizowanie możliwości poprawy sytuacji absolwentów szkół wyższych w stosunku do poszukiwanej pracy.

In modern global conditions, the revival of the economic belt of the Great Silk Road as a whole opens up new significant opportunities for countries along the route to develop the economies of these countries. Nowadays, the main factors for the integration of these countries are logistics, international trade, and tourism. The relevance of the study lies in the very methodological approach of assessing the logistics factors affecting the economy of a number of countries along the economic belt of the Silk Road. A group of preliminary countries, through which lie main routes of the economic belt of Silk Road, including Kazakhstan, were selected. An analysis was carried out on the efficiency of development of logistics and trade, impact of development of logistics on international trade. Based on the analysis of international indices of logistics efficiency, international trade conditions and regression models, problems and reasons for lagging have been identified that affect the economic development of countries along the Silk Road routes. Priority initiatives have been identified to overcome restrictions that impede the development of logistics and increase trade capacity in the countries of the Silk Road, in particular the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), including Kazakhstan.

Therefore, the measures that filter this information are the desired solution.  One of these measures is information demand analysis, which can be easily used for defining problems on the labour market, where the term of talent import is becoming increasingly important. The main contribution of this study is the analysis of the challenges facing the foreign labour market from the point of view of an employee and an employer and a proposal of an information demand model for strengthening the foreign labour market information system. The information demand model is one of the stages of the development of an information-logistics engine, which ensures that the right information is available in the right location, time and quality.

The paper focuses on a topic concerning the students’ professional future. Students more often and more are prepared to leave the labor market. In addition to the ongoing higher education they get their education at a variety of courses and trainings; they increase their skills in workshops or attend internships and practices to become attractive candidates for the job in the eyes of a potential employer. At this point a number of questions raises, such as: do students choose their future profession consciously? what do they expect from the future profession? are they interested in working abroad after graduation? etc. According to the Forbes, logistician profession was in the top ten most popular professions in 2013 in Poland. That is why the objective of the paper was to identify the expectations of students who study Logistics at the Faculty of Engineering Management, Poznan University of Technology.

Article addresses issues related to online trade and logistics real estate market. Efforts were made to indicate the dependencies and trends occurring between discussed sectors. The dynamic development of e-commerce and increasing desire for faster delivery of goods purchased on Internet influences the growth of demand for warehousing space needed by logistics firms operating on the Internet.

Logistics is today one of the decisive advantages in competition on the markets. Companies and entire supply chains compete more and more often. This study presents the logistics area as a factor in the competitiveness of enterprises against the background of two main trends of competition research, i.e. a trend dealing with two key issues for the economy, namely the general characteristics of the market, i.e. its structure, development, functioning, the situation prevailing on it and the strategic behaviour of enterprises, and the second trend, included in theories referring to the role of the state in a market economy.
