    Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to analyze material flow from the perspective of a logistics operator operating in a distribution network at Material Decoupling Point (MDP). This analysis will focus on classifying the flowing products into the appropriate groups in terms of their sales characteristics, release volume and the value of the coefficient of variation. This analysis will also involve product classification in terms of forecast accuracy. Design/methodology/approach: Main method used for the research focuses on analyzing one of distribution network. Analyze considered examination of material flow and tests of forecast tool to improve operational issues. Findings: Logistics operator is able to forecasting demand of products in distribution network. It is interesting area of research developing in the future. Originality/value Forecasting is considered here as a kind of development perspective for the operator who currently does not make forecasts. Forecasting implementation could be in these case

    Opis:
    Understanding organisational risks makes possible to control them and to change them into organisational strengths. Being known as "measure of uncertainty" in the business process, the risk is the uncertainty of achieving the organizational objectives. It may involve positive or negative consequences. There is a level of uncertainty in every supply chain while operating transportation and warehousing, positioning on the market, developing customer support, reducing cycle times or cutting costs. Therefore, the risk assessment should be one of the main tasks for any supply chain management team. It is required to develop formal risk assessment procedures, to identify the potential impacts to the supply chain operations and to develop a set of contingency plans to mitigate risks. This paper deals with supply chain risk assessment methodology, outlining the present risk management status of Croatian logistic operators.

    The aim of the article is to present and analyze major groups of factors that are considered by companies when selecting a logistic operator, and to demonstrate how a given factor influences the quality of performed tasks. It systemises factors and analyses more closely those which are currently of biggest importance in the process of time and costs optimization in logistic processes from the point of view of both a logistic operator and a customer.     Dynamiczny rozwój Internetu i nowoczesne technologie informatyczno-telekomunikacyjne wpłynęły na rozwój handlu elektronicznego w Polsce. Najbardziej popularną metodą handlu elektronicznego jest handel w sklepach internetowych. Obsługa logistyczna branży e-commerce wymaga infrastruktury logistycznej i rozwiązań dostosowanych do wymagań tej gałęzi handlu. Dlatego też w artykule omówiono zagadnienie handlu elektronicznego z perspektywy jego wpływu na logistykę. Celem rozważań jest przedstawienie, na podstawie analizy literatury i wyników badań wtórnych, wyzwań stojących przez logistyką w kontekście dynamicznego rozwoju handlu elektronicznego w Polsce. Problematykę zobrazowano przykładami praktycznych rozwiązań logistycznych dla branży e-commerce. Artykuł ma charakter teoretyczny, poglądowo-koncepcyjny z elementami studium przypadku o charakterze praktycznym.
    The dynamic development of web and contemporary ICT technologies have stimulated e-commerce expansion in Poland. The most popular e-commerce is online shopping. Logistics service of e-commerce requires infrastructure and solutions tailored to specific branch requirements. Therefore the author in his article describes the e-commerce issues on the basis of literature analysis and results of the secondary research concerning challenges related to logistics in the context of dynamics-commerce expansion. The article is of the theoretical, illustrative and conceptual nature with elements of the case study of the practical nature.
    Динамичное развитие интернета и современные информационно-телекоммуникационные технологии оказали влияние на развитие электронной торговли в Польше. Наиболее популярная форма э-коммерции – торговля в интернет-магазинах. Логистическое обслуживание отрасли э-коммерции требует логистической инфраструктуры и решений,приспособленных к требованиям этой отрасли торговли. И потому в статье обсудили вопрос электронной торговли из перспективы ее влияния на логистику. Цель рассужде- ний – представить, на основе анализа литературы и результатов вторичных исследований, вызовы, стоящие перед логистикой в контексте динамичного развития э-коммерции в Польше. Проблематику проиллюстрировали примерами практических логистических решений для отрасли э-коммерции. Статьяимеет теоретический, наглядно-концептуальный характер с элементами анализа конкретного случая практического характера.

    Celem rozważań jest przedstawienie postawy klientów indywidualnych wobec stron internetowych wybranych trzech operatorów logistycznych i informacji pozyskanych na podstawie tych stron. Przy opracowaniu zastosowano metodę pośrednich pomiarów sondażowych z wykorzystaniem techniki kwestionariusza ankiety. Analizą zostały objęte strony internetowe wybranych europejskich operatorów logistycznych. Zaprezentowano wyniki badań dotyczące wizualnej i funkcjonalnej części stron internetowych. Klienci indywidualni oceniali dostawcę usług logistycznych przy zakupach on-line pod kątem informacji zawartych na stronach internetowych. Wysoka ocena wizualnej i funkcjonalnej części stron internetowych przekłada się na pozytywną postawę nie tylko wobec dostawcy usług logistycznych, ale również sklepu internetowego oferującego produkty.
    An aim of considerations is to present the individual customers’ attitude towards Internet sites of the selected three logistic operators and information acquired on the basis of those sites. In the course of study, there was supplied the method of indirect survey measurements with the use of the technique of survey questionnaire. The analysis comprised Internet sites of the selected European logistic operators. There were presented research findings related to the visual and functional parts of Internet sites. Individual customers were assessing the provider of logistic services in the course of on-line shopping form the point of view of information contained on Internet sites. The high evaluation of the visual and functional parts of Internet sites translates into a positive attitude not only towards the logistic services provider but also the Internet shop offering products.
    Цель рассуждений - представить отношение индивидуальных клиентов к интернет-сайтам трех избранных логистических операторов и к информации, полученной на основе этих сайтов. При разработке применили метод косвенных зондажных измерений с использованием техники вопросника анкеты. Анализ охватил интернет-сайты избранных европейских логистических операторов. Представили результаты изучения, касающиеся визуальной и функциональной части интернет-сайтов. Индивидуальные клиенты оценивали поставщика логистических услуг при покупках онлайн с точки зрения информации, содержащейся на интернет-сайтах. Высокая оценка визуальной и функциональной части интернет-сайтов переводится в положительное отношение не только к поставщику логистических услуг, но и к интернет-мага- зину, предлагающему продукты.

    Transformations on the postal market that have occurred since the end of the 1990s extorted Poczta Polska S.A. from implementation of changes in many areas of its activity. The purpose of these transformations is to adapt to new legal requirements, technical and technological changes and to cope with the growing competition within the postal market. Factors playing an essential role with regard to the above are initiatives taken and innovations implemented in the postal logistic chain, without which the postal operator could not operate and which contribute to the diversification of provided services. The purpose of this article is to present and assess the changes in the postal created and implemented by Poczta Polska.
    Przeobrażenia rynku pocztowego, które następują od początku lat dziewięćdziesiątych w Pol-sce wymusiły na Poczcie Polskiej S.A. dokonanie wielu zmian w różnych dziedzinach jej dzia-łalności. Celem tych przekształceń jest dostosowanie się do nowych wymogów prawnych oraz innowacji wprowadzonych w pocztowym łańcuchu dostaw bez których pocztowy opera-tor nie mógłby funkcjonować, oraz które przyczyniły się do dywersyfikacji świadczonych usług. Celem artykułu jest prezentacja oraz ocena zmian, które zostały stworzone oraz wdro-żone przez Pocztę Polską S.A.

    Purpose: The main goal of article focuses on identification the main research directions for transferring the function of centralised demand forecasting to 3PL enterprise. To meet this goal the concepts connected with central demand forecasting in distribution network was considered and it was taking into account the meaning of demand management and forecasting in logistics. There were also distinguished the main stages which could include the attributes of central forecasting enterprise. Design/methodology/approach: Paper includes literature analysis connected with centralised forecasting and specification of determinants which could be the main reference point in finding the enterprise able to get the function of centralised forecasting. Findings: According to literature review determinants of distribution network configuration in the centralised forecasting is showed and also there is showed a possibility of transfer the function of centralised forecasting to logistic operator. Originality/value Paper shows determinants of distribution network configuration in the conditions of centralised forecasting and takes into account possibility of transfer this function to logistic operator.

    W ostatnich latach zaobserwowano dynamiczny rozwój handlu elektronicznego. Związek z tym ma zarówno rozwój technologiczny, wzrost liczby osób mających dostęp do internetu oraz aktywnie korzystających z niego, a także udział mobilnych urządzeń. Celem pracy było określenie zależności między częstotliwością dokonywania zakupów przez internet a logistycznymi aspektami w obszarze e-commerce. Do analizy przyjęto dane z przeprowadzonych badań ankietowych wśród 100 klientów korzystających z usług handlu elektronicznego.
    In recent years there has been a dynamic development of e-commerce. This is due to both technological development, an increase in the number of people who have access to and active use of the internet, and the share of mobile devices. The aim of the study was to determine the influence of the frequency of purchases made by internet and the logistic aspects of e-commerce. The analysis was based on survey data from 100 clients using e-commerce services.

    Głównym celem artykułu jest przedstawienie sposobu podejścia do analizy biznesowej organizacji z wykorzystaniem modelu SIPOC i macierzy RACI. Cele szczegółowe obejmują przedstawienie istoty i celów analizy biznesowej oraz założeń prezentowanego modelu i macierzy, mogących służyć nie tylko do opisu procesów, ale także do analizy wartości kreowanej przez poszczególne zadania z perspektywy całego procesu biznesowego. Prezentowane podejście przedstawiono w oparciu o przypadek operatora logistycznego planującego wdrożenie kompleksowego wsparcia IT dla logistyki.
    The main goal of this article is to present the approach to the organization business analysis made with the use of the SIPOC model and the RACI matrix. The detailed objectives include presentation of the essence and goals of business analysis and the assumptions of the presented model and matrix that can be applied not only to describe processes but also to analyse the value created by individual tasks from the perspective of the entire business process. The discussed approach is based on the case of a logistics operator planning to comprehensive IT support for logistics.
