Opis:
A single photovoltaic panel under uniform illumination has only one global maximum power point, but the same panel in irregularly illuminated conditions can have more maxima on its power-voltage curve. The irregularly illuminated conditions in most cases are results of partial shading. In the work a single short pulse of load is used to extract information about partial shading. This information can be useful and can help to make some improvements in existing MPPT algorithms. In the paper the intrinsic capacitance of a photovoltaic system is used to retrieve occurrence of partial shading.

Opis:
This paper presents a solution for the problem concerning the behaviour of a steel lattice girder subjected to dynamic load pulses. The theory of shakedown is used in the analysis. It is assumed that such loads cause a non-elastic response which includes dissipation of energy causing deformations and residual forces developed in the structural members of the girder. At a certain intensity of these forces, the girder can react to subsequent load pulses without further dissipation of energy, behaving in the elastic region after shakedown. This condition is referred to as adaptation of the structure to assumed cyclic loading. Elastic shakedown limit is determined through a direct analysis of the girder's dynamic behaviour, i.e. by checking if energy dissipation decreases with loading cycles. This gives the number of load applications after which no further increase of the energy dissipation is observed. The existing permanent deformations persist and residual forces remain in the same state. The analysis takes into account the possibility that compressed members can buckle which may result in non-elastic, longitudinal and transverse vibrations of these members. Non-linear geometry of members is taken into account. Then a perfectly elastic-viscoplastic model of the material is used. The main goal is to determine the state of the non-elastic movements of the girder joints and the residual internal forces developed in the girder members after each load application. The values obtained in this way serve as the basis for describing the next loading cycle. It is possible to use the approach presented in the paper to evaluate the effects of accidental loads. Then it is checked whether a small number of repetitions of accidental load would result in exceeding the serviceability limit state criteria of the maximum permanent deformation or displacement and/or strain amplitudes. If so, the magnitude of accidental load is greater than the elastic shakedown limit. Some examples are given to illustrate the application of the theory of shakedown.

Opis:
The present paper deals with a dynamic coupled response of functionally graded columns with a quadratic cross-section subjected to an in-plane pulse loading. An Al-TiC metal- -ceramic material is applied. It is assumed that functionally graded materials (FGMs) are subject to Hooke’s law. The thin-walled structures are simply supported at the ends. This study is devoted to the stability problem of rectangular dynamic pulse load. The effects of temperature, wave propagation and damping are neglected. In order to obtain the equations of motion of individual plates, the classic laminate plate theory (CLPT) has been modified in such a way that it additionally accounts for all components of inertial forces. A plate model is adopted for the structures. The problem of an interaction of the global mode with the local ones is concerned (i.e., a three-modes approach). Attention has been focused on some unexpected aspects related to dynamic interactive buckling of columns having two axes of the cross-section symmetry. In the present study, a new approach to the description of this phenomenon, based on Koiter’s theory, has been applied.

Opis:
Forging hammers are machines whose operation causes negative effects both at the place of their foundation (the soil settlement) and in their surroundings (e.g., vibrations propagating to the other devices, noise, etc.). Knowledge of the parameters characterizing the time history of the force that arises as a result of impact of a ram on a shaped material is of fundamental importance for the correct analysis of both the structure of the hammer and its impact on the surroundings. In the paper, the effect of the shape and duration of a pulse load on the dynamic response of a hammer-foundation forging system was assessed. An analytical method of description of the forces that arise as a result of impact of the ram on the forged material, using different forms of pulses was presented. The forces defined in this way as loads in a mathematical model of three degrees of freedom forging system were used. The equations of motion derived from d'Alembert's principle were solved numerically in the Matlab program. The analyses for eight forms of the pulse loads with the same pulse sizes but different durations were performed. The results in the graphs were presented. It was found, among other things, that a greater impact on the maximum displacement, velocity and acceleration of each component of the hammer-foundation system as well as on the maximum forces transmitted to the soil has the duration of a pulse than its shape.

Opis:
This study considers the technological complex process that comprises a drive system space. The complex consists of parallel kinematics machines and a table of 6-coordinate drives. It is shown that in the process of forming surfaces are special trajectories of the relative position of the working body of the machine and table. In certain areas there are oscillating stochastic processes of infinitely small amplitude. The methods are a synthesis and theoretically mathematical description of oscillating processes. Because of the random dynamic loads, the drive system operating in specific areas of the trajectories are defined.
Artkuł poświęcony jest złożonemu układowi technologicznemu, zawierającemu mechanizm przestrzenny. Układ składa się z maszyny o kinematyce równoległej i platformy z sześcioma napędami. Wykazano, że w procesie ustalania położenia występują specjalne trajektorie odpowiadające pozycji części ruchomych maszyny i platformy. W określonym obszarze zachodzi stochastyczny proces oscylacyjny o nieskończenie małej amplitudzie. Przestawiono metody syntezy i matematycznego opisu teoretycznego procesów oscylacji. Z powodu losowości obciążeń dynamicznych działanie napędu jest definiowane dla okreeślonego obszaru.
