В данной статье рассматриваются особенности изображения повседневности в первом реалистичсеском романе Дмитрмя Глуховского Текст. На примере судьбы главного героя произведения, Ильи Горюнова анализируется модель русской действительности и обыденности, а также их характерные черты и атрибуты. В данном контексте особое значение приобретают категории контраста, отчуждения, фатализма и пессимистического детерминима. Обыденность в своем романе Глуховский представляет, ссылаясь на русский литературный дискурс. В произведении ощущаются инспрации идеями Льва Толстого, Федора Достоевского, Антна Чехова и других классиков, а также современных писателей.  
The aricle The Picture of Russian Everyday Life i The Novel Text Of Dmitry Glukhovsky  describes different attribute of a everyday life and reality in contemporary Russia. The author uses  the category of strangeness, contrast, fatalism and pessimistic determinism to characterize one of the most important motifs in his novel based on the life of the main character in the story. Glukhovsky shows the everyday life in Russian capital city and Moscow’s area referred to works of the biggest writers of XIX century (Lev Tolstoy, Fiodor Dostoevsky, Anton Chekhov) and to contemporary Russian authors.
Artykuł Obraz rosyjskiej codzienności w powieści Tekst Dmitrija Głuchowskiego poświęcony jest omówieniu zjawiska rosyjskiej codzienności i jej charakterystyce. Na podstawie sytuacji egzystencjalnej głównego bohatera utworu, Ilji Goriunowa, autor przedstawia konstytuujące rosyjską codzienność kategorie obcości, kontrastu, fatalizmu i pesymistycznego determinizmu. Głuchowski nawiązuje w swojej analizie do szerokiego kontekstu kulturowo-literackiego. W powieści widoczne są czytelne aluzje i cytaty z rosyjskich klasyków: Lwa Tołstoja, Fiodora Dostojewskiego, Iwana Turgieniewa, a także dialog z przedstawicielami współczesnej literatury rosyjskiej.

Текстът разглежда рецепцията на полската преводна литература през последното двадесетилетие в българските специализирани издания за литература и изкуство.Обобщени са тематичният брой на „Литературен вестник”, озаглавен Полската литература на 90‑те (бр. 11, 22.—28.03.2000 г.) и посветен на промените в полския художествен живот в края на миналия век, бр. 18 (8.—14.05.2002 г.) на същото издание, озаглавен Полската Nike, представящ носителите на найголямата полска литературна награда в периода 1997—2002 г., както и двата броя (бр. 35, 2.—8.11.2005 г. и бр. 6, 15.—21.02.2006 г.) на „Литературен вестник”: Литература на токчета или подобрата литература и Литература пред огледалото или подобрата литература, съсредоточени върху творчеството на представителките на полския феминизъм. Статията осмисля също така полския брой (бр. 3, 2002 г.) на сп. „Панорама”, който изгражда преводна картина на полската литература след 1989 г., бр. 3—4 от 2006 г. на сп. „Критика”, оглеждащо най‑интересните изяви на литературнокритическата мисъл в Полша през същия период, както бр. 8 от 2007 г. на сп. „Славянски диалози”, който репрезентира основни тенденции в съвременната полска култура.
This text examines the reception of Polish literature into professional Bulgarian publications for literature and art. It submits to a discussion the following sources: The special issue of „Literaturen westnik” („Literary Weekly”) entitled Polish Literature of the Nineties, no.11 (22.—28.03.2000), devoted entirely to the changes occurred in Polish literature and artistic life at the end of the past century; and no. 18 (8.—14.05.2002) of the same journal presents under the title Polish Nike, presents the most prestigious Polish literary award and its laureates during the years 1997—2002. Mentioned above jurnal „Literaturen westnik” („Literary Weekly”) had two more special issues: Literature on Heel‑ or Better Literature, no. 35 (2.—8.11), and Literature before the Mirror or Better Literature, no. 6 (15.— 21.02), published in 2006, both focused on Polish women’s feminist writers. The article takes also into account the issue of „Panorama”, no. 3 (2002), which gives an overview of Polish literature translated into Bulgarian after 1989. Included into this discussion is the periodical „Kritika”, no. 3— 4 (2006); it gives a survey of the most interesting statements of Polish literary critical thought in the same period, that is, after 1989. Similarly, the „Slavianski dialozi” („Slavic Dialogues”), no. 8 (2007), that presents some most important ways of development in contemporary Polish culture.

W artykule zostają przybliżone argumenty nieomawianej dotychczas szerzej w polskich badaniach debaty metodologicznej toczonej w ramach współczesnych adaptation studies. Autor opisuje trzy tendencje charakterystyczne dla najnowszych teorii adaptacji: metateoretyczne próby przeramowania pojęcia adaptacji, krytykę podejścia typu medium specificity oraz otwieranie się na konteksty kulturowe, społeczne i ekonomiczne. Zdaniem autora jednym z największych wyzwań stojących przed studiami nad adaptacją jest przełamanie obowiązującego w obrębie dyscypliny podziału na badania tekstualne i kontekstualne (na który zwracała uwagę Kamilla Elliott). Kategorią, która może stanowić pomost między ujęciami formalistycznymi a kulturoznawczymi, jest pojęcie dyskursu, które nie było dotąd przedmiotem poważnej debaty w ramach dyscypliny. Posługując się przykładami polskich adaptacji z ostatnich lat, autor wskazuje na możliwe sposoby zastosowania tej kategorii w badaniach porównawczych.
The article presents the methodological debate in contemporary adaptation studies, which has not been discussed in greater detail in Polish research. The author describes three trends characteristic of the latest adaptation theories: metatheoretical attempts to reframe the notion of adaptation, criticism of medium-specificity approach, opening up to cultural, social and economic contexts. According to the author, one of the greatest challenges that adaptation studies faces is to overcome the discipline’s division into textual and contextual research (which was noticed by Kamilla Elliott). A category that could link formalistic and cultural approaches is, as the author argues, the category of discourse, which has not been the subject of a broader debate within the discipline so far. Referring to the examples of the latest Polish film adaptations, the author indicates possible ways of applying the concept of discourse in comparative studies.

This article will focus on different forms of hybridization in the contemporary Belgian fantasy novel. It demonstrates aesthetic communion by referring to four authors: Alain Dartevelle, Christopher Gérard, Thomas Gunzig and Bernard Quiriny. By analyzing the syncretism at once generic, poetic and stylistic of their novels, it traces the contours of their mixed writing. It also reflects on the place that these novelists reserve for the supernatural, an ingredient inherent in fantastic alchemy, as well as on the national, even Belgian, character of their writing.
Niniejszy artykuł poświęcony jest różnorodnym formom hybrydyzacji w belgijskiej powieści fantastycznej z początku XXI wieku, w odwołaniu do twórczości czterech autorów: Alaina Dartevelle’a, Christophera Gérarda, Thomasa Gunziga i Bernarda Quiriny’ego. Analizując synkretyzm gatunkowy, poetycki (postacie, wymiar czasoprzestrzenny) i stylistyczny ich powieści autorka ukazuje ich wspólne cechy, które wpisują je w estetykę postmodernistyczną. Pochyla się także nad miejscem, jakie zajmuje w nich zjawisko nadprzyrodzone, podstawowy składnik alchemii fantastycznej, a także nad belgijskimi wyznacznikami pisarstwa owych autorów.

The article is an attempt to demonstrate innovativeness and usefulness of the theory of allegory proposed by Dorothy L. Sayers, the author of The Writing and Reading of Allegory. Sayers identifies allegory as a literary genre, presents it as a ‘being’ mentally close to psychomachia, and tries to use the idea of “soul-battle” in the field of analytic psychology. Her conception seems to be fertile when interpreting Lost Homeland by Slobodan Novak.

The article is an attempt to show the novel Otok snova (Island of Dreams,1996) by Damir Miloš as an example of a dystopian text. The author portrays the presented world of the book, first, as a postmodern consumer space where the pursuit of attractions is a dominant human activity, second, she presents the same picture through the prism of hyperbolic deformation. In the novel the original idyll takes the contours of hell, as she suggests. However, the reflection does not finish in a defeatist way. The author indicates a possibility of transition from dystopia to micro-utopia, but only in the case of reading the novel in the context of other works written by Damir Miloš.

Vo svojom príspevku pod titulom Jozef Marušiak — prekladateľ — komparatista ideálny? autorka Marta Buczek sa zaoberá problémom nevyhnutných vzťahov súčasnej novej komparatistiky a translatolgie. Predložená v príspevku teória súčasnej komparatistiky a translatologie dokazuje, že sú to discipliny vzajomne spojené predmetom výskumu. Predmet záujmu komparatistiky sa zhoduje s rozsahom záujmu výskumu prekladu. Posun smerom k komparatistickému vnímaniu prekladu upozornil na tvorivú úlohu prekladov a tvorivú úlohu prekladateľa v kultúre a literatúre. V ďalšej časti príspevku autorka analyzuje prekladateľskú čínnosť známeho slovenského prekladateľa poľskej literatúry — Jozefa Marušiaka. Odpovedá na otázku, kto je komparatista ideálny, a čí možno slovenského prekladateľa predpokladať za komparatistu ideálneho.
In the article under the title Jozef Marušiak — the translator — the prefect comparatist? the author Marta Buczek raises the problem of necessary relationships between new Comparative Studies and Translation Studies. The theory of Comparative Studies and Translation Studies presented in this paper shows that that disciplines are closely connected to each other by the subject of research. The subject of interest of the Comparative Studies is consistent with the interest of research in Translation Studies. Turning towards comparative perception of the translation has focused its attention on the creative role of translation in the culture and the creative role of the translator. In the next part of the article the author analyzes the translation activity of well known Slovak translator of Polish literature — Jozef Marušiak. The author answers the question, who is the perfect comparatist and if the Slovak translator can be assumed for the perfect comparatist.

How exactly did Adam Zagajewski, the Cracovian exile from postwar Lvov, become the “Poet of 9/11”, as Newsweek hailed him on the tenth anniversary of the infamous terrorist attack? And why has the poem lingered on in the years that follow, comforting readers in the aftermath of all kinds of disasters, private and public, natural and manmade? This essay traces the history behind the poem’s debit in English translation on the final page of the New Yorker magazine’s first issue after the attack. It follows its subsequent afterlife as one of the best-known contemporary poems in the English language, as witnessed by its countless appearances in everything from anthologies to sermons, pop songs, and personal websites in the last eighteen years.

The article contains considerations regarding memory of the Holocaust in Polish contemporary prose and analyses the arguments for and against fictitious representations of theShoah. The author discusses the changes in treating fiction which narrates the history of Jewish people during the Second World War – from works of fiction published after the war (e.g. Wielki Tydzień by Jerzy Andrzejewski) to popular thrillers written in the 21st century. The main part of this article is devoted to a novel Tworki written by Marek Bieńczyk in 1999, telling a story of young people – Poles and Jews – employed in a mental hospital during German occupation. The novel was at the centre stage of discussion about relationship between fiction and the Shoah theme, yet the author of the article argues that it may serve as an important stepping stone in exemplifying history. This literary vision of the Holocaust (defined as “pastoral thriller”) shows educational possibilities of fiction.

Артыкул прысвечаны асэнсаванню мастацкага метаду Алеся Разанава. Аналiзуюцца творы, публiцыстыка паэта i робiцца выснова аб блiзкасцi ягоных эстэтычных поглядаў да мадэрнiзму. Адзначаецца, што А. Разанаў – яскравы наватар, вынаходнiк адметных жанраў, якi вывеў беларускую лiтаратуру на сусветны ўзровень, аднак пры гэтым пiсьменнiк не адмяжоўвае сябе ад традыцыi, бачыць у ёй вытокi ўласнай творчасцi. Тэксты паэта невялiкiя, але вельмi змястоўныя, асацыятыўныя i сугестыўныя. Яны багатыя на адсылкi, прэцэдэнтныя iмёны i пад., але не маюць гiбрыдна-цытатнай прыроды; элементы гульнi ўжываюцца не для iранiчнага высмейвання з’яў папярэдняй культуры, а для паглыблення зместу твораў; пiсьменнiк з сур’ёзнасцю i адказнасцю ставiцца да Слова, падкрэслiвае важнасць мастацтва ў нашым жыццi.
W artykule omówiono twórczą metodę Alesa Razanau zastosowaną w jego utworach literackich i publicystyce. Autor arykułu formułuje wniosek, że twórczość A. Razanaua zbliża go do modernizmu. A. Razanau to bystry innowator i odkrywca nowych gatunków, dzięki któremu literatura białoruska osiągnęła światowy poziom. Jego teksty są krótkie lecz treściwe, assocjacyjne i sugestywne. Poeta nie odwraca się od tradycji, lecz widzi w niej źródła swojej twórczości. Teksty są bogate w odwołania, ale nie mają charakteru cytowań hybrydowych, elementy gry nie są stosowane, aby ośmieszyć zjawiska przeszłej kultury, lecz aby pogłębić wątki. Poeta traktuje słowo poważnie i z szacunkiem, podkreśla istotę sztuki w życiu człowieka.
The article discusses the creative method of Ales Razanau. The poet’s works and journalism are analyzed. The author has drawn the conclusion that A. Razanau is closer to modernism. He is a bright innovator, an inventor of new genres, thanks to whom Belarusian literature has reached world level. A. Razanau’s texts are small, but very informative, associative and suggestive. The poet does not stand out against tradition, in which he sees the origins of his own work. Texts have many references, precedent names, etc., but they are not of hybrid-quotation nature; game elements are not used to ridicule ironically phenomena of the previous culture, but rather to deepen the content of works. The writer takes the Word with seriousness and responsibility, emphasizes the importance of art in our life.

Opis:
The aim of the article Different faces of old age as perceived by the students of Polish studies is to present how old teachers perceive old age. The exemplification material consists of three texts: Winter tale. An essay on the old age of Ryszard Przybylski, “The Old Man’s Route”. An attempt at old age politics by Tadeusz Sławek and Lala Jacek Dehnel. Hermeneutical reading allowed for the creation of several images of autumn of life: a painful, marked by suffering attempts to overcome and suffering in a creative act; old age as a possibility of a deeper look at the spiritual dimension of human existence and old age reconciled with the laws of transiting the events immersed in the act of memorization.
Celem artykułu Różne oblicza starości w refleksji studentów polonistyki jest przedstawienie sposobu postrzegania starości przez przyszłych nauczycieli. Materiał egzemplifikacyjny stanowią trzy teksty: Baśń zimowa. Esej o starości Ryszarda Przybylskiego, „Trakt starego człowieka”. Próba polityki starości Tadeusza Sławka oraz Lala Jacka Dehnela. Hermeneutyczne czytanie pozwoliło na stworzenie kilku obrazów jesieni życia: bolesnej, naznaczonej cierpieniem próby przezwyciężenia i cierpienia w akcie twórczym; starości jako możliwości pogłębionego spojrzenia na duchowy wymiar ludzkiej egzystencji oraz starości pogodzonej z prawami przemijania zanurzonej w akcie memoracji danych wydarzeń.

Literature, Feminism, Criticism – Other Constellations? In her article the authoress outlines the issues concerning the relation between feminism, literary criticism and modern literature. She poses some questions concerning the prose oeuvre of contemporary Polish women authors as well as the social contexts and aesthetic strategies associated with it. What proved to be important here were also issues allowing reflection on the change of literary-critical and historical and literary discourses inspired by feminist thought, as well as issues allowing to record the losses and gains resulting from the entanglement of feminist literary criticism in mass communication and the results of the „cultural turnaround” of feminist literary studies.

Opis:
The article is an interpretation of Czesław Miłosz's poem On Salvation. The basic observation on the level of text analysis is concerned with the phenomenon of its ambiguity. It is discussed both in the semantic and in the strictly artistic order, that is in the order of poetic language. Miłosz's poems and essays, in which the problem of the existential quality of “depravation” appears, the tradition of Japanese Zen poetry, and Adam Mickiewicz's Zdania i uwagi (Opinions and Remarks) are a historical-literary context referred to in the article. The center of the meaning of the poem is identified in the article not with the questions of faith or lack thereof, but with the question about man's cognitive possibilities, about the limitations of imagination confronted with the problem of salvation.

Der Rezensent stellt einen rudimentären Überblick über die Forschungsgeschichte der Comicliteratur vor, charakterisiert und bewertet den Inhalt des Buches und weist auf seine Bedeutung für die Entwicklung der Comicforschung hin.
Recenzja poświęcona jest napisanej we współpracy sześciu autorów pracy Comi-canalyse. Eine Einführung. Recenzent przedstawia rudymentarny zarys badań nad literaturą komiksową, charakteryzuje i ocenia treść pracy oraz wskazuje na jej istotność w rozwijaniu badań nad tym rodzajem literatury.
The review is devoted to the work Comicanalyse. Eine Einführung, written in collaboration of six authors. The reviewer presents a rudimentary outline of research on comic book literature, characterizes and evaluates the content of the work and points to its importance in developing research on this type of literature.
