Opis:
Scomberomorus guttatus is an economical valuable fish in Pangandaran, West Java, Indonesia. Indeed, the catch of large pelagic fish in Pangandaran water is dominated by Scomberomorus guttatus at around 42.30% of the total production of large pelagic fish in 2015-2017. The purpose of this research is to analyze length-weight relationship and condition factors of Scomberomorus guttatus. The samples were collected in August and September 2018 at Cikidang Fishing Port, Pangandaran Regency, West Java. The Scomberomorus guttatus observed during the research had total length ranging from 205 to 685 mmTL, and the length-weight relationship of Scomberomorus guttatus in Pangandaran water was indicated by the equation W=〖0,0000038L〗^3.0839. Furthermore, the growth pattern of Scomberomorus guttatus is positive allometric (b = 3.0839), meaning that weight growth is faster than length growth, while its condition factor range from 0.52 to 1.54 (average - 1.00 ±0.08).

Opis:
This study aimed at analyzing the length-weight relationship and the condition factors of Boleophthalmus pectinirostris originating from the Maro estuary, Merauke Regency, Papua Province, Indonesia. This study was conducted for three months, starting from July to September 2018. This study used a purposive sampling method. The sampling of B. pectinirostris was carried out at two stations by using traps and capturing manually. 80 fish of B. pectinirostris were caught during the study. The length size of males 6.5 to 17.5 cm and weight 1.7 to 44.0 g, while the length of females 9.0 to 22.0 cm and weight 5.4 to 91.4 g. The results showed that the length-weight relationship of B. pectinirostris male reached W=0.0112L2.8562 and W = 0.0099L2.8885, while females W = 0.0062L3.0907 and W = 0.0052L3.1211. The length and weight relationship of B. pectinirostris showed negative allometric for male (b<3) and positive allometric for female (b>3). The condition factor value of B. pectinirostris for males and females ranged from 0.837 to 2.266, and 0.689 to 1.259, respectively.

Opis:
This study aims to compare the morphometric characteristics of Nerita albicilla and Patella nigra and to determine the allometric relationships between the shell weight, shell length, fresh weight, dry weight, tissue weight and shell weight. A total of 200 of Nerita albicilla and Patella nigra were collected along the coasts of Zamboanga City Bay, Western Mindanao, Philippines. Nerita albicilla has the highest mean ± SD in width (1.59 ± 0.19 mm), fresh weight (2.59 ± 0.15 g), tissue weight (1.26 ± 0.83 g), dry weight (2.38 ± 0.55 g) and shell weight (2.19 ± 0.11 g). The fresh weight of Nerita albicilla was strongly related with the shell length. The shell width of Patella nigra was slightly correlated with shell weight. There was slight correlation between the shell width and shell weight and these can be attributed to the developmental, environmental and abiotic factors that highly contribute to the morphology of the gastropods. The calcium carbonate content suspended in the environment has major effect in the shell composition and is directly related with the shell weight. Nutrition is also a major contributory factor in the weight of the shells.
