Opis:
Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie współczesnych koncepcji zarządzania, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem zarządzania wiedzą i zarządzania informacjami. W pierwszej części artykułu przedstawiono istotę zarządzania rozwojem firmy oraz determinanty rozwoju, takie jak: potencjał przedsiębiorstwa, otoczenie, finansowanie rozwoju, koncepcje zarządzania rozwojem przyjęte w firmie oraz powiązanie ich ze strategią przedsiębiorstwa. W części drugiej pokazano w oparciu o studia nad literaturą oraz na podstawie dotychczasowych doświadczeń praktycznych na ile stosowanie tych nowych rozwiązań faktycznie sprzyja rozwojowi przedsiębiorstw oraz jakie nowe kierunki rozwijają się w tym obszarze.
The aim of this article was to present some modern conceptions of the management, with particular attention paid to subject oriented conceptions, especially to the managing of knowledge or information. The first part of the paper presents the essence of company development management, determinants of the development, such as direct and indirect environment, the potential of a company, the trends in the management of company development and source of finance for the company development. The second part of the paper conveys the review of selected conceptions used in the above-discussed areas, while close attention has been given to further possibilities of their applications, taking into consideration constantly changing external conditions.

Most of modern companies implement to the management principles known as "lean". One of the methods proposed by Lean Management is a TPM (Total Productive Maintenance). There are applications of this method in relation to production systems. TPM can also be used to improve the quality of internal transport systems. The article presents the basic principles of TPM used in the method, as well as its use in stock products ready for distribution and in division of the car wipers.
Większość nowoczesnych przedsiębiorstw wprowadza do zarządzania zasady znane jako chude, wyszczuplone (lean). Jedną z metod proponowanych przez Lean Management jest Kompleksowe Utrzymanie Maszyn - TPM. Znane są aplikacje tej metody w odniesieniu do systemów produkcyjnych. TPM można także wykorzystać do poprawy jakości działania systemów transportu wewnętrznego. W artykule przedstawiono podejście stosowane w metodzie TPM. Wskazano możliwości jej wykorzystania w magazynie wyrobów FMCG przygotowanych do dystrybucji i w dziale produkcji wycieraczek samochodowych.

The article deals with the analysis and assessment of lean strategy as well as of Six Sigma and the Theory of Constraints applied in effective supply chain management. These concepts were found mutually complementary. Agile strategy, as well as its comparative assessment with lean strategy, were analyzed. Agile strategy's aspects of development in reactive supply chain management were discussed. Three kinds of supply chain processes and the corresponding strategies such as lean, agile and lean-agile were singled out. The article established that effective and efficient supply chain management based on agile strategy is conditioned by the preceding both geographically and chronologically lean processes implementation.

Podstawowym celem działania przedsiębiorstwa jest dziś nie tylko przynoszenie zysku, przetrwanie i rozwój, ale także dbałość o poszanowanie otoczenia i zapewnienie optymalnego wykorzystania zasobów środowiska naturalnego. Sprawnie wdrożony i funkcjonujący proces ekologizacji przedsiębiorstwa jest gwarantem zrównoważonego rozwoju gospodarki. W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono nowe podejście do systemu zarządzania środowiskowego w przedsiębiorstwie wytwórczym. Podejście to wykorzystuje m.in. narzędzia Lean management, dzięki czemu, w odróżnieniu od klasycznego systemu zarządzania środowiskowego, charakteryzuje się eliminacją potencjalnych odpadów już na etapie planowania procesu produkcyjnego.
The primary objective of a company's operations today is not only yielding profits, survival and development but also making a point of respecting the environment and ensuring the sustainable use of natural resources. A well-implemented and efficient process of a company's greening is a guarantor of sustainable economic development. This article presents a new approach to the environmental management system at a manufacturing enterprise. This approach, among others, incorporates Lean management tools, so that, in contrast to the classical environmental management system, it is characterized by the potential elimination of waste already at the planning stage of the production process.

Quality management systems established according to the requirements of the ISO series 9000 standard have a tradition of more than twenty years. For many companies the possession of a certificate has become a prestigious issue or a market requirement – this applies in particular to enterprises co-operating with the automotive industry. Irrespective of systems based on ISO 9001 requirements, many companies establish systems modelled on the production system of Toyota. There has been conducted an analysis of causes due to which "lean engineering" and QMS (Quality Management Systems) established according to the ISO 9001 standard are not integrated and most frequently are treated as two independent systems. This article was based on the information and observations from third party audits conducted in 148 companies having different business profiles and well-established quality management systems.
Systemy zarządzania jakością ustanawiane zgodnie z wymaganiami norm ISO serii 9000 mają już ponad dwudziestoletnią tradycję. Posiadanie certyfikatu stało się dla wielu firm sprawą prestiżową lub wymogiem rynku – szczególnie dotyczy to przedsiębiorstw współpracujących z przemysłem motoryzacyjnym. Opinie na temat skuteczności SZJ są podzielone. Wiele przedsiębiorstw niezależnie od systemów opartych o wymagania normy ISO 9001 ustanawia systemy wzorowane na systemie produkcyjnym Toyoty. Dokonano analizy przyczyn, które powodują, że „lean engineering” i SZJ ustanowione zgodnie z normą ISO 9001 nie są integrowane i najczęściej w przedsiębiorstwach są traktowane jako dwa niezależne systemy. W artykule wykorzystano informacje i spostrzeżenia z auditów trzeciej strony przeprowadzonych w 148 firmach o zróżnicowanym profilu działalności oraz posiadających ugruntowane SZJ.

The future production of new types of transportation for land, sea and air, based mainly on research, development and innovation in new materials and new types of energy according to environmental standards, will be very difficult unless they are structured around their advanced concept development through relationships management between all actors in a supply chain for manufacturing and distribution. The future of design and development of new vehicles also must incorporate innovative models for the supply chain Management, composed of key business processes that cut across the global supply chain and where the critical success factor is the degree of integration of these processes between customers and suppliers throughout the value chain, linking all actors involved in research and development, prototyping, manufacturing, marketing and aftersales. The future of the new products will also depend on efficient and competitive processes, so it will be essential to design an information management and product flow throughout the supply chain, closely linking the processes of customer relationship Management, suppliers management, order fulfilment, flow manufacturing in a Lean environment and research, development and innovation to the merchandising of the new products. In the future, we need perfect plants for the production of new vehicles and will depend on the degree of efficiency and profitability across different supply chains, this is, the competence won't be between companies, but between supply chains, and if we design an efficient and competitive chain from the same initial development, then will have lasting, safer and greener new vehicles.

For over ten years the authors of this article have had a growing conviction, resulting from their observations, that regardless of the approach adopted, the role of the company's boss always turns out to be of paramount importance during the implementation of both technical and sociological aspects of Lean philosophy. Having analyzed their experience gained from cooperation with different enterprises, conversations with company bosses, the studies of subject matter literature and internet sources, the authors have put together their thoughts on this role in ten points, even daring to call them commandments. The methodology of affinity diagram has been used to aggregate gathered data.

The purpose of the study is to compare Developmental leadership with Lean leadership; document the differences and similarities and examine if you can combine these theories to achieve better results in the organization. A literature review is used. The result indicates more similarities than differences between Developmental leadership and Lean leadership behavior. The major difference is that Developmental leadership focuses on making the leader conscious of their own behavior and develop (possibly change) their behavior. Through new behaviors their co-workers and organization also gain developmental advantages. There is no further purpose described in Development leadership theory. Lean leadership also concentrates on behaviors, but clearly declares an override purpose; continuous improvement with focus on eliminating waste in the value stream. Lean leadership behaviors share a similar purpose, and focus on making leaders aware of what incorrect behaviors can cost or cause the organization. Even if Lean leadership does not have this clear and distinct relationship it is an underlying element in one of the two key principles - respect for people, which permeates both models. The two studied models seem to be quite similar and both focus on role models and frequency of developmental/value creating behaviors. The proposed comparative study should be oriented towards practical application in management positions.

Only organizations that are able to more quickly than others to adapt to changing environmental conditions reach advantage. Management in line with the philosophy of Lean Manufacturing is a classic example of change management.

Lean or Toyota Production System (TPS) has more or less successfully been implemented in the Western world's businesses and organizations for the past 20 years. Several authors have discussed what it is that creates a successful implementation, and several studies have been presented where strategies for implementations have been studied. Culture's impact and possible mitigation for Western companies have been studied and described by for example Womak & Jones. Proponents of the concept of Lean argue that culture is not a constraint for implementation of Lean. Lean Management is called a philosophy but it is often used as a change strategy in the sense that it is implemented with the view of improving performance. A change strategy could be seen as a product that might have to be customized with the view of improving the effectiveness of the implementation. On the other hand abandoning a standardized approach comes with the risk of severely altering the change strategy, possibly to its detriment. Implementing Lean will have an effect on the company culture. Does it make any sense customizing the implementation to culture if the issue is changing the culture? The purpose of this paper is to highlight and discuss the balance between a customized implementation and a standardized implementation. Which are the main arguments for standardization and customization and how could these be reconciled? A literature study of Lean implementation has been carried out and compared with Lean principles and theories from change management with focus on change drivers and change barriers. Main drivers of Hofstede's national cultural dimensions are compared with Lean principles to identify possible drivers and barriers in different cultures. The theory synthesis on drivers and barriers is subjected to a first test in a case study on Lean implementation according to a standardized approach. The implementation is made in a small Swedish factory belonging to a worldwide industrial company. Results from the literature review and the case study indicate that both customization and standardization are needed.

Increasing cooperation trends force firms to roll out their strategic management approaches like lean management to their intra- and interorganizational network. Regarding lean management as a people-oriented management approach we argue that a successful roll-out constitutes a learning process comprising the level of individuals (i.e. managers and employees) as one of the most important factors. In this article we aim at recommendations for realizing competitive advantages by an efficient roll-out processes focussing the individual level. Therefore we look at cooperations as social networks. Combining the accepted relational view and social exchange theory we develop a framework for realizing relational rents regarding the individual level. We argue that the individual level acts as an enabler and has the potential to be managed depending on the stage of corporation development. Summing up we suggest the constructs of exchanged resources, individual assets and relationship structures and characteristica to be approaches for an effective management of exchange-relationships.

Współczesne przedsiębiorstwa funkcjonują w warunkach bardzo silnej konkurencji i szybko dokonujących się, a przy tym często nieprzewidywalnych, zmian w otoczeniu. Muszą więc dysponować odpowiednim instrumentarium, które pozwoliłoby prawnie zarządzać. Potrzeba ta sprzyja z kolei rozwojowi różnorodnych koncepcji, metod czy technik organizacji i zarządzania. Problemem staje się pełna znajomość tych narzędzi, odpowiedni ich dobór, przygotowanie do wprowadzenia do praktyki, sprawne wdrożenie wykorzystywanie. Trudność z doborem będących w dyspozycji koncepcji czy metod wynika z faktu, iż są one wykorzystywane w różnych obszarach funkcjonowania przesiębiorstwa. Szczególnie szeroki zestaw metod mamy do dyspozycji w przypadku urządzania produkcją czy logistyką. Dlatego też właśnie tym problemom poświęcono w artykul najwięcej uwagi.
Contemporary enterprises operate in very strong competitive conditions and in rapidly taking place unpredictable changes in the nvironment. And therefore they need the appropriate instrumentation which would enable efficient management. The need in turn encourages the development of various concepts, methods or techniques of organization and management. The problem is complete knowledge of these tools, their proper selection, preparation for practice, effective implementation and exploitation. The difficulty with the selection of the available concepts or methods derives from the fact that they are used in different business areas of the enterprise. Especially, a broad set of methods we have available for production management and logistics. Therefore, these problems are discussed iv in the article.

Objectives This current study investigates the effect of lean management system on work attitudes of workers of two manufacturing companies. “Lean management” is a concept of work processes and human relations that determines company’s productivity and profitability. Workers of two enterprises, the first one with lean production and the second one with old mass production, were compared for their readiness for change and job satisfaction (both emotional and cognitive aspect). Materials and Methods The sample of 102 employees completed a battery of instruments such as: the Job Description Inventory by Neuberger and Allerbeck, the Job Affect Scale by Burke et al. and the Change-Readiness Scale by Kriegel and Brandt. Results: Individuals from the lean manufacturing company were characterized by higher level of readiness for change, positive affect at work, and cognitive job satisfaction. Conclusions In this approach the introduction of lean production positively affected company’s human resource attitudes.

Lean management is a method, the implementation of which brings many benefits and good results to companies. More and more firms decide to transform to become more lean – focusing on eliminating as much waste as it is possible, simultaneously bringing value to customers and motivation to workers. The article focus on examining, whether there is a relation between lean management and organizational structures in companies implementing that method. Additionally it is checked if there is any connection between the structures and company internationalization in those firms. At first, the article provides a brief description of lean management method, the history and main principles behind it. It is followed by a short presentation of some organizational types of structures, basing on the flexibility of these specific solutions. Next, on the ground of the literature, different views about the relations between organizational structures and lean are mentioned. Finally, the author presents some results of her own research conducted in the companies implementing lean management, assesses the types of structures and prospective changes depending on companies’ internationalization and the time of lean implementation.

Opis:
Correct determination of costs of offered products, services or logistic processes is one of principal factors of efficient functioning of enterprises. It is particularly important today, in the era of increasing competition, where the cost of the service grows along with the quality of the service. Authors’ belief that processes create the value important for the customer, resulted in the performance of the analysis of logistic costs in a selected process from the area of electronic and traditional commerce and consequently, the example of an electronic warehouse was presented in which Time-Driven Activity Based Costing method was implemented. The analysis is aimed at reaching the assumed level of quality of service. The goal of the analysis is to show areas that require special attention because of waste identified with Lean Management approach and introducing reasons to implement substantial changes in analyzed areas.
