    Etykieta językowa stanowi ważną część etykiety ogólnej. Tworzy katalog przyjętych w danej kulturze i w określonym społeczeństwie wzorów językowych zachowań grzecznościowych, przyporządkowanych konkretnym sytuacjom pragmatycznym. Etykieta językowa, także wobec osób z niepełnosprawnością, to wycinek grzeczności językowej, która powinna obowiązywać i dotyczyć każdego użytkownika języka.     Artykuł dotyczy świadomości językowej i komunikacyjnej młodego pokolenia Polaków w zakresie językowej etykiety. Autorki analizują wyniki badania ankietowego przeprowadzonego wśród 100 studentów filologii polskiej. Okazuje się, że doceniają oni wagę grzeczności językowej. Razi ich zarówno jej brak, jak i nadmiar. Zwracają też uwagę na niewłaściwą leksykę w komunikacji językowej, czyli słownictwo nieadekwatne do sytuacji oraz wulgaryzmy i przekleństwa. Brak grzeczności zauważają w różnych sytuacjach – codziennych oraz oficjalnych (w mediach), nie tylko u rówieśników, ale i u osób starszych.
    This article applies to language and communication awareness of the young generation of Poles in the field of linguistic label. The authors analyze the results of a survey conducted among 100 students of Polish philology. It turns out that they appreciate the importance of linguistic politeness. Irritates them both lack and excess of it. They also point out the wrong vocabulary in language communication, i.e. vocabulary inadequate to the situation and the vulgarisms and curses. Lack of politeness they notice in different situations – everyday and formal (in the media), not only in their peers, but also in the elderly.

    There are two major theories about the origin of human syntax: evolutionary and catastrophic, the latter appears more probable on theoretical and empirical grounds, the most serious reason being the problem with imagining the intermediate stages between protosyntax and full-blown syntax (Bickerton 1998). The “missing link” is recently often associated with recursion, a sole element of human syntax considered specifically human and specifically linguistic. Some accounts associate this trigger with a subpart of recursion, either operation Merge or a subpart of Merge, operation Label (Hornstein 2009) which by breaking the initial symmetry provides a sine qua non condition for asymmetric syntax in terms of endocentricity, phrase structure and, consequently, recursive embedding. My hypothesis is that assuming the catastrophic scenario, more than one catastrophic event must have happened in a very short time. Given that human vocal tract and human phonetics and phonology have several unique features compared with Great Apes (hierarchical but non-recursive structure, speech imitation skills, abundant use of formants, lack of laryngeal air sacks in the vocal tract) and given that the phonological form constitutes the interface of the human syntax, the mere addition of Label to the already existing operations of the protolanguage is insufficient, since (1) it does not account for the emergence of the phonologically interfaced syntax, (2) it fails to explain the indisociability of non-syntactic elements of language in terms of phonology, semantics and syntax as evidenced in Jackendoff (2011). Consequently, I assume that human language emerged as a result of at least two catastrophic processes: catastrophic emergence of phonetics and catastrophic emergence of syntax accompanied by the rapid expansion of the lexicon, the latter possibly as a result of a quantitative rather than qualitative development. The emergence of human phonology might have occurred gradually, but as a result of the catastrophic emergence of phonetics.

    Opis:
    The Unified Modeling Language (UML) is one of the standard languages that are used in modeling software; therefore, UML is widely taught in many universities. Generally, teachers assign students to build UML diagram designs based on a predetermined project; however, the assessment of such assignments can be challenging, and teachers may be inconsistent in assessing their students’ answers. Thus, automated UML diagram assessment becomes essential to maintaining assessment consistency. This study uses a behavioral diagram as the object of research, since it is a commonly taught UML diagram. The behavioral diagram can show a dynamic view of the software. This study proposes a new approach to automatically assessing the similarity of behavior diagrams as reliably as experts do. We divide the assessment into two portions: semantic assessment, and structural assessment. Label similarity is used to calculate semantic assessment, while subgraph edit distance is used to calculate structural assessment. The results suggest that the proposed approach is as reliable as an expert in assessing the similarity between two behavior diagrams. The observed agreement value suggests a strong agreement between the use of experts and the proposed approach.
