    Opis:
    Manufacturing, as one of the main pillars of a civilized lifestyle, will be strongly affected by sustainability issues, and it will play an important role in establishing a sustainable future. Within the area of sustainability issues, some specific issues are pointed out, such as the energy and labor intensity of manufacturing processes. The main aims of this paper are a systematic literature review and the evaluation of the energy and labor intensity of manufacturing processes in an industrial enterprise while proposing changes toward sustainable development. In the research, 163 scientific publications (77 related to China) were taken from the Web of Science (WoS) database based on selected keywords describing the studied phenomenon. The analyzed publications were divided into five areas (clusters). In terms of evaluating the energy and labor intensity of manufacturing processes, twelve production processes were selected, which were then grouped according to their most important areas of similarity (automation, ergonomics, and discomfort). The systematic literature review was carried out using the VOSviewer software, version 1.6.14. This article also uses the methodology of a case study with a simplified SWOT analysis based on interviews with employees and expert panels. The subject of the research is an industrial enterprise representing the steel manufacturing sector in Poland.

    The necessity of establishing the academic staff workload regulation system at higher educational institutions of Ukraine, which is particularly relevant in conditions of limited funding for higher education has been shown. The system structure and the characteristics of its basic components have been given. This system is sufficient to create a powerful information base for the preparation and management decision making concerning the planning and organization of educational process, as well as to analyze and assess the impact of management decisions on the value of academic staff labor costs and university costs as a whole.

    Opis:
    The aim of this paper is to explore and present a proposal for redesigning elements of the workplace for agech workers. The method of research was to observe, record, and measure the actions of sitting workers performing assembly operations on electrical products in the Kani Plant Nagoya Works of Mitsubishi Electric Co. (Japan). The evaluation index used in the experiment was obtained by measuring time motion elements, cycle time per product, and motion velocity waves of elderly workers. Those motion characteristics were then compared to the motion characteristics of young workers. The results led to job redesign elements being identified to reduce handling factors of high difficulty for aged workers and to the necessity to consider a coefficient of correction in Method Time Measurement (MTM) according to differences in the manufactured object’s weight.

    W pracy dokonano szczegółowej analizy nakładów pracy w gospodarstwach zajmujących się towarową produkcją sadowniczą. Gospodarstwa zostały podzielone wg udziału procentowego sadów w UR. W poszczególnych grupach określono całkowite nakłady robocizny, udział nakładów pracy własnej i najemnej oraz przedstawiono strukturę nakładów robocizny z podziałem na prace ręczne oraz mechaniczne.
    The work analyzes in details labor expenditures in farmsteads dealing with market fruit-growing production. The farmsteads were divided according to percentage fraction of orchards in UR. For particular groups total labor expenditures, share of expenditures on own and hired labor were determined and a structure of labor expenditures (broken into manual and mechanical works) was presented.
