inhibitor korozji - Opis:
- The object under study is the Waterworks of Oświęcim, a municipality of about 65,000 inhabitants. Municipal water of a daily volume approaching 12,000 cubic meters is supplied through a pipe network of a total length of 475 km. The city and county of Oświęcim draw water from Zasole (an infiltration intake), Zaborze (a deep-well intake) and Czaniec (a water treatment plant). As shown by laboratory tests, the water from Zasole exerts a strong corrosive influence (owing to the lack of carbonate-calcium equilibrium), so the users receive "rusty" water. To eliminate the unpleasant colour the decision was made to apply corrosion inhibitors dosed into treated water. In August 1999, a dosing device was installed at Zasole. After two months of operation, the quality of the treated water was noticeably improved. This has been achieved with 10% solutions of Clarofos 124 at initial doses ranging between 4.0 and 4.5 g/m[3], which is equivalent to the concentration of 3.03.5 gP2O5/m[3] in treated water. The two-year experience with the dosing device has evidenced the efficiency of the adopted corrosion inhibitor, which brought about a complete stabilization of the water supplied to the users. No complaints have been reported regarding such parameters as colour, turbidity, iron concentration or suspended solids.
