    Opis:
    Knowledge management is a process aimed at enriching and effectively using knowledge assets in various areas of business operations. It also applies to manufacturing enterprises that offer tangible products combining it with the art of processing information and intellectual assets into added value for the customer. A characteristic feature of manufacturing enterprises is assigning their employees a double role: a knowledge user and, at the same time, an internal source of specialist knowledge. In the situation of dynamically changing market conditions, there is an additional need to acquire new knowledge (in practice: often to buy knowledge) from the company’s environment. A solution in the above-mentioned scope in Poland may be digital repositories of science assets as tools for knowledge transfer to SMEs. Research institutes are an important element in the process of knowledge transfer from scientific units to the economy (e.g. they offer their services in open access). The paper presents the concept of such a repository preceded by a diagnosis of the existing state, an analysis of the recipients of the deposited content and the examination and analysis of the requirements of potential users of the repository.

    Systemy klasy Enterprise Content Management (ECM) to obecnie jedno z kluczowych narzędzi IT wdrażanych w przedsiębiorstwach. Świadczy o tym ogromna dynamika rynku, jego stale rosnące wartości i główni gracze, opisywane przez analityków firm badawczo-analitycznych Gartner Inc. (Magic Quadrant for ECM 2013) czy Radicati (Enterprise Content Management Market, 2013–2017). Celem artykułu stało się zaktualizowanie pojęcia content oraz zdefiniowanie pojęcia platformy ECM. Następnie platformy ECM zostały przedstawione w perspektywie technologicznej oraz rynkowej. Samo pojęcie zarządzania treścią i jego składowe technologie ewoluowały przez ostatnie dwadzieścia lat. Ewolucję pojęcia oraz aktualne miejsce zarządzania treścią w przedsiębiorstwie zaprezentowano w pierwszych dwóch częściach pracy. Główne komponenty oraz technologie wy-korzystywane do tworzenia platform ECM omówiono w części trzeciej, na przykładzie jednego z dynamiczniej rozwijających się, według rankingu Gartnera, produktów tej klasy – platformy Alfresco. Analiza dynamiki światowego rynku ECM oraz wskazanie trendów jego rozwoju stanowić będzie podsumowanie artykułu. Niniejsza praca będzie wstępem do rozważania problemu stworzenia dedykowanych narzędzi analityczno-projektowych służących w projektach wdrożeniowych systemów klasy ECM.
    Enterprise Content Management (ECM) class systems are nowadays one of the key IT tools implemented in enterprises. This fact is easily witnessed by the growth of the Enterprise Content Management market and its most important players as described by analysts from such research and analytical companies as Gartner Inc. (Magic Quadrant for ECM 2013) or Radicati (Enterprise Con-tent Management Market, 2013-2017). The aim of this paper is to update the notion of “content” and to define the concept of ECM platform. ECM platforms will be presented in the technological as well as market perspective. The concept of content management and its component technologies have evolved over the last twenty years. The evolution of that concept and the present place of content management in enterprises are presented in the first two parts of the paper. The main components and technologies employed to create ECM platforms are discussed in the third part of the paper using the example of the Alfresco platform which is quoted as the most dynamically developing one in the Gartner ranking. The concluding part of this paper features the analysis of the dynamics of the ECM market as well as presents its development trends. This paper serves only as an introduction to the deliberations on the problem of creating dedicated analytical and design tools to be used in the implementation projects of ECM class systems.

    The European policy of Open Access to scientific research is now one of the key issues discussed in public debates on the future development of scientific communication. The implementation of Open Access tools has significant impact on scientific and economic growth. On the one hand, Open Access accelerates disseminating new research findings and facilitates recognition of authors on a more global scale. On the other hand, Open Access helps provide equal access to knowledge and stimulates innovation. Thus, it has an important role in creating the modern information society and economic growth. International organisations, the European Union and governments of individual countries support the idea of Open Access giving recommendations and guidelines concerning making the outputs of research financed from public funds freely available. The paper aims to discuss the process of preparing and implementing the Open Access policy at the institutional level as well as the functionality and tasks of the Open Repository which is now being established on the Multidisciplinary Open System Transferring Knowledge Platform. The acronym of its name in the Polish language is “ MOST Wiedzy”, which means “Bridge of Knowledge”. The repository is a project of an archive of scientific publications, research data, scientific dissertations, as well as other documents and sources, created as a result of scientific experiments and other research and development work conducted at the Gdańsk University of Technology. It will also be a solution supporting communication between researchers and a platform for cooperation between science and business.

    Celem badań opisanych w artykule było przedstawienie doświadczeń pracowników Biblioteki Jagiellońskiej związanych z wdrażaniem polityki otwartego dostępu na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim. Opisane działania skupiają się zarówno na historycznym aspekcie wdrażania polityki, jak i na działaniach kontynuowanych lub podjętych po ogłoszeniu związanych z tym aktów prawnych. Do zbierania danych zostały wykorzystane metody analizy i krytyki piśmiennictwa oraz studium przypadku, których zastosowanie pozwoliło  szczegółowo opisać temat otwartego dostępu do nauki z perspektywy wdrożenia takiej polityki na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim. Na kanwie zgromadzonych doświadczeń można stwierdzić, że główne problemy we wdrażaniu otwartej nauki na uczelni to słaba znajomość tematu przez pracowników i brak dostatecznego finansowania. Do głównych zalet natomiast należą: nieograniczony dostęp oraz szersze rozpowszechnienie wyników badań i publikacji naukowych.
    The underlying goal of the present study is to investigate  the experience gained by the Jagiellonian Library staff in the implementation process of the new open knowledge policy at the Jagiellonian University. The discussed tasks and decisions pertaining to the process focus on both the historical aspects of the implementation of the policy and the relevant activities that are either being carried out now or became effective following the introduction of relevant legal acts and a series of legal instruments pertaining to the comprehensive realisation of the project. Applicable methods of literature analysis and review were used to collect data, just as a case study, which altogether allowed the concerns of open access to knowledge to be properly distinguished and discussed in detail from the perspective of its implementation at the Jagiellonian University. Our experience thus far indicates that the main issues in the implementation of open knowledge at the University include insubstantial awareness among staff, as well as insufficient funding. The main advantages of open  knowledge, however, include: limitless access to literature and a better promulgation of research results, scholarly output and publications.
