Opis:: In this short note we present an example related to joint spectra of subnormal pairs of bounded operators. A counterexample to the equality between Taylor's spectrum and the closure of the defect spectrum is given. This example is related to the author's modification of N Sibony's counterexample to Corona Theorem on domains that fail to be strictly pseudoconvex.

Opis:: For a given unital Banach algebra A we describe joint spectra which satisfy the one-way spectral mapping property. Each spectrum of this class is uniquely determined by a family of linear subspaces of A called spectral subspaces. We introduce a topology in the space of all spectral subspaces of A and utilize it to the study of the properties of the spectra.

Opis:: It is well known that there is a one-to-one correspondence between the characters of a finitely generated commutative Banach algebra and the joint spectrum of its generators. In this paper we show that this fact is also true for an arbitrary semitopological algebra and its continuous characters, provided we replace the concept of a joint spectrum by concept of a topological joint spectrum. In particular, we show that a finitely generated semitopological algebra has a continuous character if and only if the topological joint spectrum of its generators is non-void.

Opis:: Hypermobility is an increased range of joint mobility caused by the generalized laxity of the ligaments stabilizing the joints and joint capsules. Changes in the proportion of collagen are the basis of joint hypermobility. Hypermobile people suffer from a number of symptoms related to the musculoskeletal system and other systems due to the widespread presence of connective tissue in the body. The aim of the study was to compare the diagnosis of disorders from the hypermobility spectrum using the Beighton and Sachse tests. 60 women were included in the study. They were divided into two groups, similar in terms of age and BMI value. The Sachse test and the Beighton scale were used. The ambiguous, and in some cases contradictory, results obtained in both methods indicate the need for a more detailed analysis of diagnostic methods for disorders from the hypermobility spectrum.
