    The article contains reflections on the “speculative realism”, a direction in 21st century philosophy initiated by Graham Harman, whose books (The Quadruple Object, Object-Oriented Ontology. A New Theory of Everything) continue and process Martin Heidegger’s concept of “the quadruple” (das Geviert), and they also use the ideas of such thinkers as Edmund Husserl and Bruno Latour. The basic problem formulated in this text arises from the following questions: is speculative realism another turn in scientific research, or rather a return to those sources of thinking that take into account the complexity and the irreducibility of reality to any metaphysical instance? What is the role of the “speculative turn” in cultural studies, in various interpretative practices?

    Let f be a polynomial in two complex variables. We say that f is nearly irreducible if any two nonconstant polynomial factors of f have a common zero in $C^{2}$. In the paper we give a criterion of nearly irreducibility for a given polynomial f in terms of its Newton diagram.

    A comparability graph is a graph whose edges can be oriented transitively. Given a comparability graph G = (V,E) and an arbitrary edge ê∈ E we explore the question whether the graph G-ê, obtained by removing the undirected edge ê, is a comparability graph as well. We define a new substructure of implication classes and present a complete mathematical characterization of all those edges.

    We review the realization theory of polynomial (transfer function) matrices via 'pure' generalized state space system models. The concept of an irreducible-at-infinity generalized state space realization of a polynomial matrix is defined and the mechanism of the 'cancellations' of 'decoupling zeros at infinity' is closely examined. The difference between the concepts of irreducibility and minimality of generalized state space realizations of polynomial (transfer function) matrices is pointed out and the associated concepts of dynamic and non-dynamic variables appearing in generalized state space realizations are also examined.

Dowód tego twierdzenia oparty jest na teorii ciał. Ponadto, udowodniono pewien wariant twierdzenia odwrotnego oraz zaprezentowano kilka przykładów.
    https://doi.org/10.26485/0459-6854/2018/68.1/2 We present a theorem about irreducibility of a polynomial that is the resultant of two others polynomials. The proof of this fact is based on the field theory. We also consider the converse theorem and some examples.
