In the article I examine the modes of social involvement that are present in contemporary Swedish cinematography. In my opinion, many of the directors from this Scandinavian country are trying to include in their works the elements of social criticism. They also intend to inform, or to change the attitudes of their viewers. Problems that appear in these films are related, inter alia, to the questions of equality, globalization, multiculturalism, migration, emancipation of women, trafficking, and consumerism.

Zjawisko „Trzeciej fali”, polegające na renesansie postaw obywatelskich wśród młodzieży oraz na inkluzji społecznej młodych Polaków opisywane jest w tekście w szerokim kontekście historycznym.  Tym kontekstem jest „Pierwsza fala”, a więc okres poprzedzający rok 1989, gdzie zaangażowanie młodzieży w sprawy społeczne i polityczne miało charakter głównie konfrontacyjny. Pierwszym skojarzeniem przychodzącym na myśl o działaniach politycznych i społecznych wschodzącego pokolenia w powojennej Polsce nie będą sytuacje prosystemowe, a antysystemowe. Należy w tym miejscu przywołać 1968 rok – identyfikowany jako początek młodzieżowych ruchów opozycyjnych Polski Ludowej na dużą skalę. Pod pojęciem „Drugiej fali" kryje się kolejne pokolenie, które jako dzieci i osoby młode wchodziło w życie po 1989 roku. W dużym przybliżeniu można przyjąć, że są to roczniki 1970-1985. Młodzi tego okresu charakteryzowali się daleko idącą niechęcią wobec polityki (rekordowa wręcz niska partycypacja w wyborach); rozczarowani III RP, sfrustrowani wielkimi problemami społecznymi (bezrobocie, afery na szeroką skalę) skupieni byli na sprawach osobistych i społecznych w skali mikro (WOŚP, partyjne młodzieżówki).  „Trzecia fala”, a zatem okres, którego jesteśmy właśnie świadkami, to wschód aktywności młodych. Jesteśmy bodaj na początku krzywej rosnącej, która obrazuje rozwój postaw obywatelskich wśród młodzieży. Zaistnienie owego odrodzenia, inkluzji, jest skutkiem kilku czynników, które w prezentowanym tekście są szczegółowo zaprezentowane. Jesteśmy świadkami wyraźnego wzrostu aktywności młodych ludzi, pokazu ich mocy, sprawczości i siły rażenia. Jej zwrot i kierunek zależą silnie od aktualnych tendencji, chwilowych popularności  i umiejętności komunikowania. To młodzi i ich nastroje wybierają posłów, kreują zapotrzebowanie na produkty i tworzą kulturowe zjawiska. Gruntem komunikacji i organizacji działań młodych ludzi stał się Internet.  W tekście Czytelnik znajdzie szczegółowe rekonstrukcje najważniejszych i najpopularniejszych aktywności młodych Polaków „ trzeciej fali", ich interpretacje oraz wyjaśnienia.
The phenomenon of the „Third Wave", which is a reborn of civic activity among a youth and social inclusion of young Poles is widely descripted from the historical perspective. In the beginning the historical overview focuses on the "First Wave", - the period between 1945 and 1989, where the involvement of young people in social and political activities was mainly confrontational. The very first thought we have when it comes to the political and social activities of the emerging generation in post-war Poland are not a pro-systemic but anti-systemic activities. First of all the year 1968 - identified as the beginning of the large-scale opposition movement of the People's Republic of Poland. The "Second Wave" is the generation crossing a borderline of 1989 as a children and youth. In general, it can be assumed that they were born between 1970 and 1985. The youngsters in this Wave were openly not-interested in the politics (ex. the record breaking low rate of participation in elections); disappointed with III RP, frustrated with a great social problems (unemployment, scandals on a large scale) were rather focused on personal and social issues on a micro scale (WOŚP, partys' youth wings). The "Third Wave"- the period we are witnessing, is a dawn of youth activity. We are just at the beginning of the rising curve, which shows the a rise of active civic attitude among young people. The phenomenon of this rebirth, inclusion, is the result of several factors, which are a subject of article are presented in detail. We are witnessing a great increase in the activity of young people, the demonstration of their power, the efficiency, and the influence. Its direction and force depend strongly on current trends, popularity and communication skills. The young Poles and theirs mood are the main factors which are choosing the members of The Polish Parliament, creating a demand for products and creating cultural phenomena. The Internet has become a land of communication and organization of young people's activities. In the article, the reader will find detailed reconstructions of the most important and popular activities of young Poles, the "Third Wave", their interpretation and explanations.

Opis:
In phone-ins on morning radio programs one can observe the presence of different ritual means which enable the host and the caller to build a rapport. These conversations are created for an overhearing audience, i.e. listeners at home who expect that the host will address the callers in a friendly and informal way. However, all radio talks are dependent on the institutional context of broadcasting and necessarily include specific features typical of formal talk. The author of the article claims that the 'friendly on-air chat' has, in spite of many demonstrations of intimacy between the hosts and the callers, a clearly professional character and shows how the hosts use the elements of high-involvement style to create the effect of bonding with the audience.

The authors present the key aspects of establishing cooperation with people experiencing a mental health crisis, referred to in the literature as service users involvement (SUI); not only drawing attention to the theoretical context of the SUI approach, but also illustrating it with a practice developed in Gdynia social welfare, which is unique on a national scale. The aim of the study, which combines theoretical reflection and a description of a case study of the activity of the local community, is to draw attention to the participatory approach important for the identity of social workers, referred to as service users involvement (SUI). The source of the generalizations presented in the article is the authors' systematic reflection on mental health care-oriented practice.

This study investigated the relationships between various affective variables and two measures of competence in English, for 190 South Korean high school students. A 55-item questionnaire was used to measure attitudes (Attitudes toward English Speakers and their Communities and Attitudes toward the English-speaking Culture), motivation (Motivational Intensity, Desire to Learn and Attitudes toward the Learning of English), amotivation, parental involvement (Active Parental Encouragement, Passive Parental Encouragement and Parental Pressure), parental disinterest and students’ competence in L2 (English- EXAM and English-SELF). Pearson product-moment coefficients indicate that active and passive forms of parental encouragement correlate with motivationto learn, as conceptualized by Gardner (1985, 2010), as well as with parental pressure, which suggests that South Korean students report undergoing forms of pressure when their parents actively or passively encourage them. Furthermore, the obtained correlations of the active and passive forms of encouragement with different variables suggest that the two forms represent two distinct concepts. While parental disinterest correlated negatively with motivational variables, parental pressure correlated only with motivational intensity, and only weakly. Therefore, parental pressure seems not to interact significantly with participants’ attitudes, motivation and competence. Multiple linear regression analyses confirm the importance of motivation to learn for students' L2 competence.

This study used TAM as a theoretical basis to explore the public's attitude towards online insurance products. This study used the people in Taiwan as the research subject and distributed 628 questionnaires on the Internet by means of convenient sampling. After eliminating 88 invalid questionnaires, 540 valid questionnaires, the effective recovery rate was 85.99%. The findings of this study are as follows: 1. In the pension financial planning model, perceived usefulness, trust, and product involvement have a significant positive impact on attitude; perceived risk has a significant negative impact on attitude; attitude and subjective norm have a significant positive impact on behavioral intention Impact. 2. In the travel insurance model, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, trust and product involvement have a significant positive impact on attitudes; attitudes and subjective norms have a significant positive impact on behavioral intentions. Finally, this study concludes that insurance belongs to high amount and long-term products, it may not be suitable for people to buy through the Internet; the other hand, if insurance belongs to one-time and low-priced products that can be solved conveniently, quickly and efficiently demand is the primary consideration of the people.
W artykule przedstawiono teoretyczną podstawę do badania postaw społeczeństwa wobec internetowych produktów ubezpieczeniowych. W badaniu wykorzystano mieszkańców Tajwanu, jako przedmiot badań i rozprowadzono 628 kwestionariuszy w Internecie. Po wyeliminowaniu 88 nieprawidłowych kwestionariuszy i 540 ważnych kwestionariuszy efektywny wskaźnik odzysku wyniósł 85,99%. Wyniki tego badania są następujące: 1) W modelu planowania finansów emerytalnych postrzegana użyteczność, zaufanie i zaangażowanie produktu mają znaczący pozytywny wpływ na nastawienie; postrzegane ryzyko ma znaczący negatywny wpływ na nastawienie; postawa i subiektywna norma mają znaczący pozytywny wpływ na intencje behawioralne. 2) W modelu ubezpieczenia podróżnego postrzegana użyteczność, postrzegana łatwość użytkowania, zaufanie i zaangażowanie produktu mają znaczący pozytywny wpływ na postawy; postawy i subiektywne normy mają znaczący pozytywny wpływ na intencje behawioralne. W badaniu stwierdzono, że ubezpieczenie należy do produktów o dużej wartości i do produktów długoterminowych, może nie być odpowiednie dla osób kupujących przez Internet; z drugiej strony, jeśli ubezpieczenie należy do jednorazowych i tanich produktów, które można rozwiązać wygodnie, szybko i skutecznie, popyt jest najważniejszym czynnikiem, który ludzie biorą pod uwagę.

Kawasaki disease is a small-to-medium vasculitis that preferentially affects children under 5 years of age. A case of Kawasaki disease of atypical clinical debut with splenomegaly and analysis of follow-up period over 10 years with a formation of coronary aneurysms is reported. This case highlights the importance of international survеy for Kawasaki disease that can help to elaborate new diagnostic criteria for the patients of various age groups, to optimize the treatment strategy and to prevent the cardiac complications.

Artykuł przedstawia analizę porównawczą prowadzenia profilów uczelni wyższych w Polsce i za granicą w serwisie Facebook. Istotnym celem opracowania było wskazanie różnic w poziomie wykorzystania treści określanych jako kontent marketing oraz zbadanie poziomu zaangażowania odbiorców obserwujących profile uczelni. W efekcie zbadano poziom skuteczności kontent marketingu w budowaniu zaangażowania obserwatorów i sympatyków profilów uczelni wyższych. Na potrzeby badania został opracowany wskaźnik zaangażowania, który pozwolił dokonać analizy porównawczej wystandaryzowanych wyników niezależnie od liczby fanów poszczególnych profilów w Polsce i za granicą. Wykonano badania ilościowe określające skategoryzowane tematy publikowanych postów, ich częstotliwość oraz kierunek sentymentalny (podział na treści pozytywne i negatywne).
Description: The article presents a comparative analysis of the results of profiling universities in Poland and abroad on Facebook. Important to develop a rational classification as marketing kontent and to examine the level of engagement of audiences observing the university profile. As a result, the level of effectiveness of marketing kontent in the engagement of observers and supporters of higher education profiles has been examined. For the development of indicators that allowed to review comparative standardized results on the number of profile profiles in Poland and abroad. Specific issues have been made regarding categorized files, their frequency, and their sentimental paths (correct and outdated).

The lack of precise regulations relating to medical experts makes one consider the current laws (i.e. the directive on court experts of 24 Jan 2005) and the respective draft law of 2006 regarding the introduction of a law on experts in court proceedings and other types of proceedings conducted by virtue of the law. Among other issues, the article discusses unawareness in the area of counselling rules, lack of sufficient knowledge of legal issues and lack of cooperation between lawyers and doctors. The discussed draft envisages a body of interesting solutions, and the very idea of amending the binding laws is commendable (even if one considers proposals regarding verification of advisory bodies, obligatory knowledge of relevant laws, collective supervision, or ad hoc restriction of an expert - the latter justified in practice). Nevertheless, the question of political involvement of an expert (under supervision of Law Minister) remains unanswered. Has work on the draft in question been justly stopped, then?

The article highlights Akaki Tsereteli State University's involvement and participation in wide school reforms to establish student-centered education in Georgia. School educational reform cannot proceed and succeed without the direct involvement of the universities which carry out teacher preparation programs. Unequivocally, there should be close cooperation and collaboration between these two institutions to reach the desirable and targeted outcomes. The purpose of the article was to present the results of the survey, which was intended to assess the effectiveness of training conducted by the university trainers during the first phase of the new school reform in Georgia which focused on achieving student-centered learning. The selected trainers from the eight partnering universities were supposed to cover 2075 schools throughout Georgia (373 schools in Imereti Region) to train leader teachers and help the institution to develop new instructional methods, more specifically, to develop a school curriculum based on constructivist educational principles and apply it into practice. The survey findings assisted Pedagogical faculty in identifying existing curriculum gaps and discrepancies and taking measures to bridge them by modifying and supplementing them with the necessary content.

This study was carried out to assess Future Workshop (FW) regarding its usefulness as a participatory ergonomics method, using a descriptive evaluation design analysed by phenomenographical approach. The study was conducted among professional cleaners, health care personnel and miners, with a sample of 105 participating subjects in 8 different FWs. Multiple methods, giving a combination of both qualitative and quantitative data, were used for data collection. Good involvement of participants was observed during workshops. Evaluations immediately after FWs and 3 months later showed a strong relationship with high correlation, indicating that the perception of FW participants was very positive. Interviews revealed conformity between developed problem identification and proposed changes. Participants’ own perceptions of FW’s influence on creativity depict their belief of developed ideas and solutions in order to identify and solve workplace problems. FW is considered to be a useful ergonomics tool, and its qualities are related to structure and practical performance.

This article presents the results of empirical research into the causes of the unsatisfactory level of the involvement of Polish workers in a continuous improvement processes in enterprises that use Lean Management. The level of employee involvement in continuous improvement processes in the surveyed enterprises is not satisfactory. The basic research method was survey of research experts. The foundation of the expert diagnosis was analysis and synthesis of the literature on the problem being studied.
W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono wstępne wyniki badań empirycznych na temat przyczyn niezadowalającego poziomu zaangażowania polskich pracowników w procesy ciągłego doskonalenia w przedsiębiorstwach stosujących Lean Management. Pomimo stwarzania im do tego sprzyjających warunków, poziom ich zaangażowania w przedmiotowe procesy w tych przedsiębiorstwach nie zawsze jest satysfakcjonujący. Podstawową metodą badawczą była metoda sondażowych badań opinii ekspertów. Fundamentem diagnozy opinii ekspertów była analiza i synteza literatury przedmiotu na temat badanego problemu.

The content of the article presents the results of research on the person-organization fit of teachers (N = 66), employed in two municipal high schools in one locality with the Areas of Worklife Survey by Ch. Maslach and M. Leiter in the Polish adaptation of A. Izwantowska and J.F. Terelak. The data from the measurement of the person-organization fit in six areas were interpreted as indicators of the overall experience of professional functioning and predictors of burnout or involvement, in accordance with the structural model of professional burnout. The independent variables were: gender, age, length of professional experience. An important factor in the person-organization fit was the age of the respondents and the work experience. The general level of professional functioning of the surveyed teachers is balanced between occupational burnout and involvement.
Treść artykułu przedstawia wyniki badań dopasowania organizacyjnego nauczycieli (N = 66) zatrudnionych w dwu gminnych szkołach średnich w jednej miejscowości Kwestionariuszem Obszary Życia Zawodowego Ch. Maslach i M. Leitera w polskiej adaptacji A. Izwantowskiej i J.F. Terelaka. Dane z pomiaru dopasowania organizacyjnego w sześciu obszarach zostały zinterpretowane jako wskaźniki całościowego doświadczenia funkcjonowania zawodowego oraz predyktory wypalenia zawodowego bądź zaangażowania zgodnie ze strukturalnym modelem wypalenia zawodowego. Zmiennymi niezależnymi były: płeć, wiek, długość stażu zawodowego. Istotnym czynnikiem dopasowania organizacyjnego okazały się wiek badanych i staż pracy. Ogólny poziom funkcjonowania zawodowego badanych nauczycieli ma charakter zrównoważony między wypaleniem zawodowym a zaangażowaniem.

Inspired by Clifford Geertz’s concept, the author analyses blurred genres on the example of biographies, focusing on their contemporary transformations, while scrutinizing their formal, methodological and audience-related (possible reasons behind their popularity) aspects. The ethical dimension of the biographer’s work is crucial, and here it is examined from the perspective of the writer’s personal involvement and the emotional community of readers (as defined by Barbara Rosenwein). The study also analyses biographies when they are perceived as a type of testimony, experience, an act of creating potential histories, or as critical works. From this perspective, writing a biography is like inciting comprehension by re-evaluating the meaning of somebody’s experiences and engaging them with the modern readers’ experience. In all probability, the key is not the authenticity of the presented reality, but enabling the reader to immerse themselves in the flow of the story so that reading the book becomes a significant experience in itself. What the reader seems to require is for the devices that are typical for novel-like narration to be combined with nonfictional forms. Thus, genre blurring is, in fact, a basis for renegotiating the pact between authors and readers, where both sides are well aware of how ambiguous it is to write about an absent third party, realizing that it is necessary to omit facts, be concise, make sense of convoluted events, and to extract the essence in things that seemingly look chaotic.
