    In modern conditions of urban development, there is a need to improve the technology for determining the investment attractiveness of urban lands by developing a method and models for assessing its impact, which will be based on the construction of a two-level system of indicators, which will determine the integral investment criterion and develop guidelines for improving the investment attractiveness of urban lands. As a result of the research, the value of the integral indicator of urban land investment attractiveness was determined, which allowed to apply it in the system of normative monetary valuation of urban land and to develop methodological recommendations for improving the efficiency of its investment attractiveness assessment. A method for assessing the investment attractiveness of urban land, as the main element of technology, based on the determination of indicators for assessing the integral criterion for the development of guidelines for improving the urban land investment attractiveness is developed. By the value of the integral criterion, the integral indicators of the potential investment attractiveness of urban lands are determined, considering the changes in the normative monetary value of the lands of settlements and the level of investment attractiveness of the regional centers of Ukraine is determined.

    Opis:
    In this work, we study the equilibrium reinsurance/ new business and investment strategy for mean-variance insurers, under the assumption that the risk aversion is a function of current wealth level. The surplus of the agents is represented by a sum of a compound process and a linear premium perturbed with a Brownian component. The financial market consists of one riskless asset and a multiple risky assets whose price processes are driven by Poisson random measures and independent Brownian motions. We characterize explicit expressions for the time-consistent Nash equilibrium strategy and the equilibrium value function via a forward-backward stochastic system and an equilibrium condition. An interesting feature of these FBSDEs is that a time parameter is involved, so that they form a flow of FBSDEs. Furthermore, a feedback representation of an equilibrium solution is derived. This solution provides a tool for comparing the equilibrium strategy with those derived in other papers, where some special cases were studied by the dynamic programming argument.

    The authors present criteria availed in taking investment decisions in wind energy investments. Macroeconomic aspects of Poland wind energy sector/industry have also been described. The article is based on numerous press and scientific articles, as well as reports. Due to the fact that investments related to construction of a wind farm are characterized by a long payback period, the authors recommend discount methods as the best method of profitability assessment. The authors suggest using the concept of weighted average cost of capital to determine the discount rate. They recommend a sensitivity analysis and value at risk to assess the impact of changes in prices of certificates of origin prices on productivity of wind farms.
    Autorzy przedstawili kryteria wykorzystywane przy podejmowaniu decyzji dotyczącej budowy farmy wiatrowej w Polsce. Opisano makroekonomiczne aspekty rozwoju sektora energetyki wiatrowej w Polsce. Artykuł powstał w oparciu o liczne artykuły prasowe, naukowe oraz raporty. Ze względu na fakt, iż inwestycje związane z budową farmy wiatrowej cechuje się długim okresem zwrotu do oceny opłacalności autorzy rekomendują metody dyskontowe. Do wyznaczenia stopy dyskontowej proponują wykorzystanie koncepcji średniego ważonego kosztu kapitału, do oszacowania wpływu cen świadectw pochodzenia oraz produktywności farmy wiatrowych analizę wrażliwości oraz wartość zagrożoną, do oszacowania wartości zagrożonej koncepcję Cash Flow at Risk.

    Jakość budownictwa zależy od bardzo wielu czynników: od stosowanych wyrobów budowlanych i technologii, od używanego sprzętu budowlanego, od kwalifikacji i sumienności pracowników, od organizacji procesu budowlanego i koordynacji robót branżowych, od jakości robót wykończeniowych, a także od utrzymania technicznego obiektów budowlanych i właściwego ich użytkowania.     Construction quality depends on very many factors, including the building materials and technologies used, the qualifications and conscientiousness of employees, the organization of the construction process and coordination of specialized works, the quality of finishing work, and also the technical maintenance and proper use of buildings. In practice, however, the dominant criterion in the construction sector is that of lowest price, and even a grossly low price will often be accepted without giving cause for concern.

    Opis:
    Turbine blades have complex geometries with free form surface. Blades have different thickness at the trailing and leading edges as well as sharp bends at the chord-tip shroud junction and sharp fins at the tip shroud. In investment casting of blades, shrinkage at the tip-shroud and cord junction is a common casting problem. Because of high temperature applications, grain structure is also critical in these castings in order to avoid creep. The aim of this work is to evaluate the effect of different process parameters, such as, shell thickness, insulation and casting temperature on shrinkage porosity and grain size. The test geometry used in this study was a thin-walled air-foil structure which is representative of a typical hot-gas-path rotating turbine component. It was observed that, in thin sections, increased shell thickness helps to increase the feeding distance and thus avoid interdendritic shrinkage. It was also observed that grain size is not significantly affected by shell thickness in thin sections. Slower cooling rate due to the added insulation and steeper thermal gradient at metal mold interface induced by the thicker shell not only helps to avoid shrinkage porosity but also increases fill-ability in thinner sections.
