    Opis:
    The Christian interpretations of the prophet Hosea in the light of themystery of Christ follow three ways. Firstly, the life of the prophet and hismarriage to an adulterous woman (Hos 1:2-9) was seen as a typologicalprefiguration of the marriage of Christ and the Church (Hos 2:9,21-22).Secondly, some verses have been interpreted on the historical level asa prophetic annunciation of the coming of Christ, containing his teachings(Hos 6:6) or foretelling events of his life (Hos 6:2; 9:12; 11:10). Finally, on thesymbolic level, some literary motifs have been connected in a metaphoricalway with the mystery of Christ (Hos 6:3; 10:12; 13:3).

    W artykule postawiono pytanie o to, czy i w jaki sposób M. Luter ujmował napięcie pomiędzy znaczeniem dosłownym tekstów biblijnych (przede wszystkim starotestamentowych) i ich chrystologiczną interpretacją oraz jakie znaczenie ma dzisiaj jego interpretacja Starego Testamentu. Przedstawiono zasadnicze elementy hermeneutyki biblijnej M. Lutra i jego wykład Iz 53 w zestawieniu interpretacją tego tekstu w świetle egzegezy historyczno-krytycznej. Interpretacja M. Lutra jest chrystologiczna, co wynika z sensu literalnego Pisma. Z perspektywy chrześcijańskiej i w świetle Nowego Testamentu sensy pneumatyczno-literalny i historyczno-literalny zbiegają się razem. Jego wykład łączy w sobie egzegezę tekstu ze zwiastowanie ewangelii odbiorcom. Jest to w swej istocie interpretacja egzystencjalna. Przy wszystkich różnicach pomiędzy wykładem M. Lutra a współczesną egzegezą łączy je krytyczne i analityczne podejście do tekstu biblijnego w językach oryginalnych oraz podkreślenie fundamentalnej roli odbiorcy, a tym samym poruszanie się pomiędzy dwoma biegunami: historycznym i dosłownym znaczeniem oraz interpretacją egzystencjalną (współczesnego) odbiorcy.
    This paper poses the question of whether and how Luther understood the tension between the literal meaning of Biblical texts and their Christological interpretation, and what meaning his interpretation of the Old Testament has today. Th e main theses of Luther’s hermeneutics are presented and his lecture on Isaiah 52:13-53:12 is compared with a modern historical-critical exegesis of the text. Luther’s Christological interpretation comes from the literal sense of the Scripture. From a Christian point of view and in the light of the New Testament, both literal senses, the historical and spiritual, coincide. Luther’s lecture combines the exegesis of the text with the preaching of the gospel for his reader or receiver. His interpretation is, in fact, an existential one. Despite all the diff erences between Luther’s interpretation and modern Biblical exegesis, both are linked by critical analysis of the Biblical texts in their original languages and an emphasis on the fundamental role of the receiver, all the while moving between the historical literal meaning and the existential interpretation of the (modern) reader.

    W artykule zajęto się pytaniem o chrześcijańskie odczytywanie Biblii Hebrajskiej/Starego Testamentu, która jest jednocześnie pierwszą częścią kanonu chrześcijan i Pismem świętym Żydów (religii żydowskiej), po Auschwitz, za który teologia chrześcijańska ponosi współodpowiedzialniość. Punktem wyjścia jest prezentacja trzech współczesnych propozycji hermeneutycznych: Christopha Dohmena, Franka Crüsemanna i Waldemara Chrostowskiego. Chrystologiczna interpretacja Biblii Hebrajskiej jest możliwa jedynie świetle wiary wielkanocnej uczniów Jezusa, bez wiary wielkanocnej taka interpretacja byłaby nie do pomyślenia, bez społeczności chrześcijańskiej by nie istniała. Przy czym dla chrystologicznej interpretacji nie ma zasadniczego znaczenia, czy jej podstawą jest Biblia Hebrajska czy Septuaginta.
    The author asks about Christian ways of reading of the Hebrew Bible as a first part of the Christian biblical canon in times after Holocaust. He presents three modern hermeneutical proposals of this reading: Christoph Dohmen’s, Frank Crüsemann’s and Waldemar Chrostowski’s (as representative for Polish roman catholic theology). A Christological lecture of the Hebrew Bible is possible only in the light of the Eastern experience of Jesus’ followers. The lecture is strongly connected with the first century Jewish interpretations but unimaginable without the faith in Jesus’ resurrection. From intertextuality point of view the Christological interpretation of the Hebrew Bible is necessary and inalienable but only within the Christian community of faith. A question whether the Christian Old Testament is the Hebrew Bible or the Septuagint is of minor importance. For understanding of Christian traditions we need the Hebrew Bible and the Septuagint, and intertestamental literature.
