The article’s main topic is the research of primary school technical education in the Czech Republic, in the Federal Republic of Germany and in Slovakia. Modern society cannot do without technical development, information technologies and seeking new sources of energy while maintaining ecological balance. This trend requires essential changes in the system of education. Technical literacy must become an important part of education as early as on the elementary school level. Monitoring and analysis of various approaches to technical education in the countries listed above is one of the key outputs of an international project named World of Work (WOW), which has got the registration number 2015-1-SK01-KA201-008942.

W artykule, opierając się na przykładzie projektów międzynarodowych BalticMuseums 2.0 i BalticMuseums 2.0 Plus, opisano, w jaki sposób dostępne technologie informatyczne mogą być wykorzystane do wspierania współpracy pomiędzy podmiotami działającymi w różnych kra-jach. W szczególności omówiono rozwiązania informatyczne wspomagające: zarządzanie projek-tem, gromadzenie wiedzy i jej wymianę pomiędzy uczestnikami projektu (platforma wiki), zarzą-dzanie wielojęzyczną treścią, zarządzanie wirtualnymi galeriami, udostępnianie informacji dla użytkowników urządzeń mobilnych oraz zarządzanie współdzielonymi zasobami multime-dialnymi. Omówione technologie informatyczne, z wyjątkiem systemu zarządzania wirtualnymi gale-riami, dostępne są bezpłatnie jako oprogramowanie o otwartym kodzie źródłowym, co oznacza, że zaproponowane tu rozwiązania mogą być zastosowane w innych projektach międzynarodowych, znacząco ułatwiając współpracę instytucji rozrzuconych geograficznie i oddzielonych granicami państwowymi.
The paper, using BalticMuseums 2.0 and BalticMuseums 2.0 Plus international projects as an example, describes how available information technologies can be used to foster cooperation between partners from different countries. In particular, it describes solutions aiding in: project management, knowledge gathering and exchange (via a wiki platform), managing content in mul-tiple languages, managing virtual galleries, making information accessible for mobile device users, and managing shared multimedia assets. The described information technologies, with the sole exception of the virtual gallery man-agement system, are freely available as open-source software, which means that the solutions proposed here may be applied in other international projects, making the cooperation of institu-tions from various countries considerably easier.

Aim. The paper presents feedback on the effects of a new approach to the teaching practice of teacher trainees introduced in Serbia. Verification of the new approach is connected with a mentor training conception which has been under preparation within the frame of Erasmus+ project 2020-1-SK01-KA201-07825 Mentor training addressed in mutual cooperation of higher education institutions from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, and the Republic of Serbia. Methods. Within the frame of the new approach, verification structured interviews were carried out with a research sample of ten mentor teachers—science teachers from primary and secondary schools. The teachers were asked about the teacher trainees’ knowledge and skills (competences) they use within the lessons taught by them during their teaching practice, ways to improve the mentoring process, as well as mentors’ competences and the ability to self-assess.   Results. The researchers collected rather positive opinions of mentors about mentees’ knowledge and skills they come to schools with. At the same time, the mentors expressed high satisfaction with their own knowledge about their mentoring role and competences. Conclusion. The paper presents, on the one hand, a good example of synergy of the national school policy strategies, introducing new approaches to the teaching practice of teacher trainees in Serbia. On the other hand, the goals of an international project are presented, which are meant to improve the quality of mentor-teachers at schools in Serbia.

Opis:
Iceland is known to be a one of the leading countries in geothermal energy research, mainly due to its unique geological location and active volcanism. Around 90% of heating and hot water requirements in Icelandic households are provided by geothermal energy sources. Process of drilling a geothermal well is not an easy procedure as it involves consideration of many different aspects prior to drilling in order to avoid unexpected accidents and ensure safe drilling operations. Recent case studies from Iceland have shown that use of low enthalpy geothermal resources with heat pumps might be even more efficient than risky and expensive deep high-temperature drilling escapades. The geothermal drilling technology currently being in use in Iceland for low and high temperature geothermal wells and previous successful case scenarios are thought to be undeniably helpful for growing interests in low enthalpy geothermal resources in Poland. In following work, many aspects related to drilling of geothermal wells in Lądek-Zdrój, Sochaczew and Konstantynów Łódzki are presented. Positive outcome of these drilling escapades will have a major impact on development of geothermal systems in Poland. Additionally, most important matters of well testing of mentioned wells are described.
Islandia, dzięki swojej unikalnej geologii, dużej aktywności wulkanicznej, jest obecnie krajem, który przoduje w rozwoju energetyki geotermalnej. Około 90% zapotrzebowania na ogrzewanie oraz gorącą wodę na wyspie jest dostarczane dzięki energii geotermalnej. Proces wiercenia otworu geotermalnego jest wysoko skomplikowanym zabiegiem. Wymaga uwzględnienia wielu różnych czynników jeszcze przed rozpoczęciem projektu, aby zapobiec niespodziewanym wypadkom oraz zapewnić bezpieczne urabianie górotworu. Ostatnie wiercenia na Islandii pokazały, że użycie instalacji geotermalnej niskich entalpii wraz z pompą ciepła może okazać się bardziej efektywne niż kosztowne oraz ryzykowne wysokotemperaturowe, głębokie wiercenia geotermalne. Technologia wiercenia otworów geotermalnych niskich i wysokich entalpii na Islandii oraz udane przypadki otworów o dużej produktywności niewątpliwie pomogą w rozwoju energetyki geotermalnej, szczególnie niskich temperatur, w Polsce. W pracy opisano wiele zagadnień związanych z planowanymi do wykonania otworami geotermalnymi w Lądku-Zdroju, w Sochaczewie oraz w Konstantynowie Łódzkim. Pozytywny efekt wiercenia tych otworów ma duże znaczenie dla rozwoju geotermii w Polsce. Dodatkowo opisano najważniejsze zagadnienia związane z testowaniem wykonanych otworów pod kątem zasobów.

Участь університетів у міжнародних проєктах на сьогоднішній день є пріоритетним напрямком розвитку університетів. Безперечно, є низка переваг у реалізації таких проєктів – це і підвищення наукової діяльності університетів, обмін досвідом та набуття нових знань, підвищення іміджу університету. Чернівецький національний університет імені Юрія Федьковича та Університет Марії-Кюрі Склодовської в Любліні мають великий досвід впровадження міжнародних проєктів. На майбутнє є потенціал впровадження спільного міжнародного проєкту.
Participation of universities in international projects is currently a priority direction for their development. Undoubtedly, there are a number of advantages in implementing such projects - this includes an increase in the scientific activity of universities, exchange of experience and acquisition of new knowledge, and an improvement in the university's image. Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University and Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin have extensive experience in implementing international projects. There is potential for the implementation of a joint international project in the future.
Udział uniwersytetów w międzynarodowych projektach jest obecnie priorytetowym kierunkiem rozwoju uczelni. Niewątpliwie istnieje wiele korzyści z realizacji takich projektów - to podniesienie aktywności naukowej uniwersytetów, wymiana doświadczeń i zdobycie nowych umiejętności, a także podniesienie wizerunku uniwersytetu. Czerniowiecki Narodowy Uniwersytet imienia Jurija Fedkowycza oraz Uniwersytet Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej posiadają duże doświadczenie w wdrażaniu międzynarodowych projektów. W przyszłości istnieje potencjał do realizacji wspólnego międzynarodowego projektu.

EUPOS (European Position Determination System) is a new European initiative of establishment of the multifunctional reference station system in Central and Eastern countries as an international project to establish a uniform groun based GNSS augmentation system of multifunctional permanently operating reference stations creating a satellite positioning infrastructure in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The Project EUPOS was initiated by the Berlin Senate Department for Urban Development and European Academy of the Urban Development Berlin. The Project consists in establishment of about 800 multifunctional satellite reference stations in Central and Eastern Europe. Fifteen countries (Bulgaria, Czech republic, Estonia,Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia &Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine) intend to participate in the project. On common project standard set wiil be observed by all countries, however the project will include the existing or developed infrastructure in participating countries. Experiences of all participating countries in establishing and operating satellite systems will also be used. The system will be compatible with the German network SAPOS and in future will use as main signal the signal of the European system Galileo. The network of reference stations will provide services for both positioning of the geodetic control points and for land, air and marine navigation. several levels of positioning acuracy will be offered. The participating countries decided to form a Steering Commitee. nine working conferences of the Steering Commitee were help up to now. The conferences were devoted to discussions on practical aspects of realisation of establishment of the network, the standards and possible sources of financial support realisation of the Project. EUPOS is a member of the International Comitee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (ICG) and the Radio Technical Commision for Maritime Services Special Commitee 104 (RTCM SC 104). In August 2006 the Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography of Poland has signed with the Polish Ministry of Economy the agreement on financial support for establishment of EUPOS reference stations in Poland.

The specifics of international organizations stated in the paper contain a particular reference to global financial institutions. It refers to the support of the development of countries in transition. It also states their reconstruction under the patronage of subjects of international law. The authors indicate the importance of the foundation and historical development of international financial institutions, especially the International Monetary Fund, along with its connection with its growing influence in the field of project financing, both regionally and globally. In the second part of the paper, the focus is on the participation of the International Monetary Fund in the reconstruction and revitalization of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the end of the war conflicts in 1995 until today. The comparative review points to the most significant areas that had the support of the International Monetary Fund in the financing of projects but also draws attention to the political side of this support through the imposition of conditions for financial resources to be approved. Through an overview of stand-by arrangements, the authors analyze the connection between the approval of projects by international financial organizations and their relation with the insistence on the implementation of specific reforms in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

1964 wurde im neutralen Österreich die „Internationale Lenau-Gesellschaft“ gegründet. Bei ihren Tagungen trafen sich Wissenschaftler aus zahlreichen Ländern diesseits und jenseits des ‚Eisernen Vorhangs‘. Die Arbeit an der historisch-kritischen Lenau- Ausgabe führte zu einer intensiven Zusammenarbeit von Germanisten aus der Bundesrepublik Deutschland und der DDR, Österreich, Ungarn und Polen. Berichtet wird von den Mühen und den Erfolgen dieses Grenzen überschreitenden Projekts.
W roku 1964 utworzone zostało w neutralnej Austrii „Międzynarodowe Towarzystwo Lenaua“. Na konferencjach tego towarzystwa spotykali się naukowcy z licznych państw leżących po obu stronach ‚Żelaznej kurtyny‘. Praca nad historyczno-krytycznym wydaniem dzieł Lenaua doprowadziła do intensywnej współpracy germanistów z RFN, NRD, Austrii, Węgier i Polski. Artykuł jest relacją o trudach i sukcesach tego przekraczającego granice projektu.
In 1964, in neutral Austria, the „International Lenau Society“ was established. Scholars from many countries on both sides of the ‚Iron Curtain‘ met at the conferences of this society. Joint effort on the historical and critical publication of the works of Lenau led to intensive co-operation of Germanists from East and West Germany, Austria, Hungary and Poland. The article relates the difficulties and successes of that transborder project.

Na przykładzie zrealizowanego projektu sfinansowanego przez Fundację PZU artykuł ukazuje efekty działań podjętych przez Państwową Wyższą Szkołę Zawodową im. Witelona w Legnicy w partnerstwie z Państwowym Pedagogicznym Uniwersytetem im. Iwana Franki w Drohobyczu oraz Państwowym Historyczno-Kulturowym Rezerwatem „Nahujowice”.
Nowadays, projects constitute opportunities for scientific development and bring a number of benefits resulting from the research and scientific activities performed by institutions of higher education. Their implementation contributes to the solution of specific problems, enables the undertaking of many initiatives with a wide range of activities, and stimulates international cooperation. On the example of a completed project financed by the PZU Foundation, the article shows the effects of actions undertaken by the Witelon State University of Applied Sciences in Legnica in partnership with the State Pedagogical University of Ivan Franko in Drohobycz and the State Historical and Cultural Reserve "Nahujowice".

Realised since 2004, the projects apply to an extremely diverse area of support for every fi eld of human activity and, taking into consideration the financing source, the majority of them are currently cofinanced by EU funds as part of, among other things, the regional development policy. The process of project planning and realisation is directly related to project management which is periodical i.e. it is a closed entirety consisting of repetitive phases and stages. In relation to the above there is a possibility to formulate principles, ways of planning and realising a project. What are the characteristics of supranational cooperation projects? The most important factor is that, apart from a project benefi ciary, there is a partner without whom we would be unable to realise activities that require partnership. Another characteristic is the so-called added value, understood as the objectives of a project and concrete products and results possible to be achieved only through supranational cooperation which would otherwise be unable to be realised by implementing projects with a national range only. For the purpose of this article the author, as an example of such a project, selected a project realised as part of PO KL entitled “A Change in the Way of Thinking as a Key to Social Integration”.

Students of applied linguistics at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland, and students of the Faculty of School Education at the Philipps-University of Marburg, Germany, in cooperation with the Warsaw Rising Museum, took part in the German-Polish project-based seminar “The Warsaw Uprising – in search of traces 70 years later” in Warsaw, Poland. The end product of their cooperation was a set of topic-related teaching materials designed for secondary or tertiary education learners in Poland and Germany. The paper discusses selected learning potentials of this cross-cultural encounter on the basis of a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the students’ questionnaires and learning diaries.

Rozwój wojskowych technicznych instytutów badawczych wymaga systematycznego pozyskiwania wiedzy na temat nowoczesnych rozwiązań technologicznych i technicznych, które można zastosować dla doskonalenia zdolności operacyjnych sił zbrojnych, jak i innych służb odpowiedzialnych za bezpieczeństwo państwa. Jednym z istotnych filarów działalności instytutów, zapewniającym do-stęp do wiedzy, gwarantującym budowę potencjału naukowego, właściwe kształtowanie infrastruktury badawczej oraz wspierającym rozwój i znaczenie instytutów jest współpraca międzynarodowa. Artykuł prezentuje formy aktywności i zakres współpracy międzynarodowej realizowanej przez wojskowe techniczne instytuty badawcze. Artykuł przedstawia uwarunkowania w obszarze współpracy międzynarodowej związanej bezpieczeństwem, w korelacji z działaniami instytutów ukierunkowanymi na rozwój pożądanych technologii w sferze bezpieczeństwa państwa.
Continuous inflow of knowledge about innovative technical solution and critical technologies has a special influence on development of military technology research institutes. New technologies and advanced technical solution can be used to improve the operational capabilities of armed forces, as well as other services responsible for state security. Taking the above into consideration, an international cooperation is an important pillar of institutes’ activities, giving access to professional knowledge, creating scientific potential, shaping research facilities and setting the position of institutes in the world. The article presents the forms of activity and scope of international cooperation carried out by military technology research institutes. The article presents the circumstances in the area of international cooperation related to security, in correlation with the activities of institutes focused on the development of critical technologies in the field of state security.

Artykuł porusza zagadnienie edukacji teatralnej z wykorzystaniem elementów sztuki cyrkowej w pracy projektowej z młodzieżą w kontekście międzypokoleniowym i międzynarodowym. Na przykładzie dwóch polsko-francuskich projektów „Szekspir Projekt” i „MOON”, których celem była artystyczna wymiana między francuskimi aktorami zawodowymi oraz młodzieżową grupą artystów cyrkowych z Klubu 303 Ośrodka Kultury Kraków–Nowa Huta, autorka prezentuje wielowymiarowe (wychowawcze, społeczne i międzykulturowe) oddziaływanie teatru.
The article discusses the issue of theatre education with the use of circus art elements in workshops for youth in the intergenerational and international context. Using as examples two Polish-French projects named „Shakespeare Project” and „MOON”, whose aim was an artistic exchange between professional French actors and a group of young circus artists from Klub 303 Ośrodka Kultury Kraków–Nowa Huta, the author presents multidimensional (educational, social and intercultural) influence of theatre.
