    The paper discusses the measurement and analysis of the voltage and output power distortions of frequency inverter that supplies an induction motor. It covers basic information regarding frequency inverters and norms with definitions and descriptions of terms related to the measurement of harmonics and interharmonics. Moreover, it describes the problems that can occur while analyzing the signal when the inter-harmonics are present during the measurement. Exemplary results of measurements done with power quality analyzer in the laboratory have been presented.

    Ocena jakości energii elektrycznej w sieciach elektroenergetycznych wykorzystuje zestaw wielkości normatywnych i uzupełniających. Wśród tych wielkości znajdują się dwie miary zawartości harmonicznych w napięciu: widmo amplitudowe (czyli zestaw wartości poszczególnych harmonicznych) oraz współczynnik odkształcenia THD. Specyfikacja normatywna obu wielkości określa warunki pomiaru bardziej rozbudowane niż zazwyczaj występujące w literaturze z podstaw elektrotechniki i teorii sygnałów. W artykule opisano specyfikacje normatywne miar harmonicznych napięć w sieci elektroenergetycznej. Przedstawiono interpretację norm prowadzącą do sprecyzowania pomiaru poszczególnych harmonicznych i współczynnika THD. Zamieszczono wyniki badań weryfikujących zgodność działania dwóch urządzeń pomiarowych z wymaganiami normatywnymi.
    The electric power quality evaluation in electrical power networks is a complex measuring task carried out with the use of a set of standard and complementary quantities. Among these quantities two measures of harmonic content in voltage can be mentioned: spectrum amplitude and coefficient THD. Standard specification of voltage harmonic measures in electrical power networks was presented in the paper. Measurement results, testing the compatibility of two measurement devices for standard requirements, were presented.

    W pracy przedstawiono analizę działania toru sygnałowego flickermetru dla napięcia wejściowego składającego się z trzech składowych: o częstotliwości podstawowej oraz dwóch sub/interharmonicznych. Dla takiego napięcia wejściowego zbudowano matematyczny model flickermetru Za pomocą tego modelu wyznaczono zależność wskaźnika Pst od składowych sub/interharmonicznych o częstotliwościach pomijanych w literaturze przedmiotu. Wykazano możliwość powstawania uciążliwego migotania światła dla składowych interharmonicznych o dużych częstotliwościach. Określono wpływ faz początkowych składowych sub/interharmonicznych na wynik pomiaru Pst. W celu weryfikacji analizy porównano wyniki badań modelowych i symulacji numerycznych.
    An analysis of the flickermeter signal chain for the input voltage consisting of three components: the fundamental frequency fc, and the two sub/interharmonics of the frequency fm, and fn, respectively, are presented in the paper. For the purpose of model tests a simplification of the flickermeter block diagram were proposed. A mathematical model was built, consisting of a set of equations describing the dependence of Pst indicator of the amplitude of sub/interharmonics, and the initial phase of one of these components. The model equations were derived for seven areas of the fn - fm plane. The dependence of the Pst indicator on sub- and interharmonics was identified for frequencies that are skipped in the related literature. It was demonstrated that the flicker could occur for interharmonics of frequencies that are significantly higher than 100 Hz, and for subharmonics of frequencies that are less than 15 Hz. A range of frequencies of subharmonics were designated for which it is necessary to take into account the phase relations while determining the Pst indicator. The results of model tests were compared with the results of numerical simulation of the IEC flick-ermeter signal chain.

    This paper deals with the effect of voltage subharmonics on power losses and heating of an induction motor. An increase in power losses in stator and rotor windings and their impact on windings temperature is presented for subharmonics of various frequencies. The results of this study’s investigations are provided for subharmonics occurring as a single power quality disturbance and combined with voltage deviation. The appropriate electromagnetic computations were performed with the finite element method, and thermal ones – with an analytical method.

    This paper deals with current consumed by an induction cage machine supplied with voltage containing negative-sequence subharmonic injection. The spectrum of the motor supply current and amplitude of current subharmonics are analysed. The differences in the effect of negative-sequence voltage subharmonic and positive-sequence ones are discussed. The results of experimental investigations are presented for various subharmonic frequency and an induction cage machine of the rated power of 3 kW.
    Artykuł dotyczy prądów w uzwojeniach stojana silnika indukcyjnego zasilanego napięciem zawierającym subharmoniczne o kolejności przeciwnej. Dokonano analizy widma prądu pobieranego przez silnik oraz amplitudy subharmonicznych prądu. Przedyskutowano różnice dotyczące odpowiedzi prądowej silnika na subharmoniczne napięcia o kolejności przeciwnej i zgodnej. Wyniki badań eksperymentalnych przedstawiono dla silnika indukcyjnego klatkowego o mocy 3 kW i różnych częstotliwości subharmonicznych napięcia.

    This paper concerns the effect of simultaneous presence of voltage subharmonics and voltage deviation on thermal loads of an induction cage machine. The influence of the considered power quality disturbances on windings temperature rise is analyzed. The operational life expectancy of a machine is discussed as well. The results of computer simulation are presented for a totally enclosed induction cage machine of the rated power 5.5 kW.
    Artykuł dotyczy jednoczesnego oddziaływania subharmonicznych napięcia i odchylenia napięcia na obciążenia cieplne silnika indukcyjnego. Dokonano analizy wpływu rozważanych zaburzeń jakości napięcia zasilania na temperaturę uzwojeń oraz szacunkowy czas życia silnika. Przedstawiono wyniki symulacji komputerowych dla silnika indukcyjnego klatkowego budowy zamkniętej o mocy 5,5 kW.

    The presented study examines the effect of voltage subharmonics, which relates to components of the frequency less than the fundamental voltage harmonic, and the currents and vibration of the line start permanent magnet synchronous motor. The obtained experimental results corresponded to a production motor with a rated power of 3 kW and a rated speed of 1500 rpm. The main purpose of our study was to highlight that the subharmonic value had a non-linear effect on the vibration level of the considered motor. It was found that for subharmonic values up to approx. 0.5% of the vibration level could be considered acceptable for long-term operation, whereas vibration caused by voltage subharmonics of values greater than approx. 0.8% might promote machine damage.

    This paper deals with the effect of voltage subharmononics on stator windings currents and rotational speed of an induction cage machine. The preliminary investigations were carried out with 2D machine model implemented in Ansoft Maxwell environment. The results of calculation are presented for a delta-connected machine of the rated power 3 kW.
    Artykuł dotyczy wpływu subharmonicznych napięcia na prądy uzwojeń stojana i prędkość obrotową silnika indukcyjnego klatkowego. Badania wstępne wykonano za pomocą modelu 2D zaimplementowanego w środowisku Ansoft Maxwell. Wyniki obliczeń przedstawiono dla silnika indukcyjnego o mocy 3 kW, połączonego w trójkąt.

    W artykule omówiony został wpływ przebiegów odkształconych na dokładność pomiaru mocy w masowo instalowanych przez dystrybutorów systemu energetycznego statycznych licznikach energii elektrycznej. Przedstawiono podstawowe aspekty metrologiczne oraz niezawodnościowe dotyczące rzeczywistego pomiaru energii. Omawiana zagadnienia przedstawiono w oparciu o analizę dwóch przypadków: przebiegi odkształcone ze składową podstawową i zawartością wyższych harmonicznych oraz przebiegi odkształcone z zawartością subharmonicznych i interharmonicznych.
    The article discusses the influence of deformed waveforms on the accuracy of power measurement in the energy meters installed by the distributors of the power system. The basic sub-logical and reliability aspects of the real energy measure are presented. The discussed issue is presented based on the analysis of two cases: deformed waveforms with a fundamental component and higher harmonic content and distorted waveforms with subharmonic and interharmonic contents.
