As a result, there are distinguished direct assets, auxiliary assets, flow of people, goods and services of the maritime ferry as a component of the shipping critical infrastructure network. Additionally, the identification of interconnections and interdependencies of this critical infrastructures network are identified.

    In this work, we present a peculiar application contained in a Decision Support System for Risk Analysis of (inter)dependent Critical Infrastructures under development within the EU FP7 CIPRNet Project. The application shows the efficacy and the benefits derived from a complete information of the multiple (inter)connected infrastructures (electrical and telecommunication) present in a Crisis Scenario. Electrical Distribution operators use SCADA systems to perform remote operations (tele-control) on the electrical grid such to ensure a constant and efficient energy supply to the consumers. Tele-control operations bi-directionally couple telecommunication and electrical networks: faults in one network produce effects, which then reverberate on the other. The work shows how the DSS, based on the damage estimate occurring on the two systems, may predict the correct tele-control operations needed for the restoring of the electrical grid based on topological properties of the electrical substations and the Telecom nodes.

    The authors of this article analyzed the phenomenon of the interdependence between transactional/transformational leadership style and perceived organizational justice (and its dimensions). In the first part of the article, the necessity to conduct detailed research on aforementioned subject is presented. Next, a literature review was carried out in order to examine the possibly toothcombing links between organizational justice and transactional/transformational leadership (taking into consideration the multidimensionality of those subjects). Leadership style and perceived organizational justice are linked to many organizational aspects such as organizational citizenship behaviors, work commitment, job satisfaction, knowledge-sharing, willingness to share knowledge, and burnout. The authors of this publication attempted to present research scope as having growth potential for future studies.

    The paper depicts a complex, distributed information system aimed at promoting cybersecurity awareness at the national level. The system, that is built in accordance with the Act on National Cybersecurity, passed by the Polish Parliament, enables collecting and processing in near-real time available information on the security status of essential services and digital services and, also, provides for assessment of negative impact of the identified threats concerned with the provision of those services. Advanced access control and dissemination mechanisms, for secure information sharing within the system, are provided in order to aggregate distributed knowledge and use this information for on-line security risk analysis and for generation and distribution of early warnings.

    The paper concerns a risk assessment and management methodology in critical infrastructures. The aim of the paper is to present researches on risk management within the experimentation tool based on the OSCAD software. The researches are focused on interdependent infrastructures where the specific phenomena, like escalating and cascading effects, may occur. The objective of the researches is to acquire knowledge about risk issues within interdependent infrastructures, to assess the usefulness of the OSCAD-based risk manager in this application domain, and to identify directions for further R&D works. The paper contains a short introduction to risk management in critical infrastructures, presents the state of the art, and the context, plan and scenarios of the performed validation experiments. Next, step by step, the validation is performed. It encompasses two collaborating infrastructures (railway, energy). It is shown how a hazardous event impacts the given infrastructure (primary and secondary eects) and the neighbouring infrastructure. In the conclusions the experiments are summarized, the OSCAD software assessed and directions of the future works identified.

    W pracy wyznaczono podstawowe wymiary (długość, szerokość i grubość) oraz kąty tarcia statycznego na wybranych powierzchniach konstrukcyjnych (stal, drewno, neralit 581, guma z twardą i miękką osnową) nasion gorczycy białej i czarnej zanieczyszczonych chwastnicą. Równania zależności między cechami charakteryzują się stosunkowo niskim procentem wyjaśnionej zmienności.
    The study presents basic dimensions (length, width and thickness) as well as angles of static friction on the selected construction surfaces (steel, wood, neralit 581, gum with hard and soft carcase) of white and black mustard seeds polluted with echinochloa. Dependency equations between the properties are characterised with a quite low percentage of the explained variability.

    The objective of the paper is to present the price interdependencies between agricultural commodity products from Ukraine (both export and non-export oriented) and other commodities whose prices are shaped on world markets, with a special focus on the role of their volatility. The research demonstrates a tight connection between the global prices of crude oil and prices of Ukrainian corn and wheat. Additionally, the volatility of world prices of agricultural commodities influenced the Ukrainian national market and had significant impact on domestic price declines. At the same time, the mechanisms for pricing non-export related agricultural commodities are formed mostly under the influence of factors from the domestic market. It is argued that a low interdependency between non-export oriented agricultural commodities and world markets stipulates the social stability of Ukraine’s population.
    Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie zależności cenowych towarów rolnych z Ukrainy (zarówno eksportowanych, jak i nieeksportowanych) od innych towarów, których ceny kształtują się na rynkach światowych, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem roli ich zmienności. Badania wskazują na istnienie związku między światowymi cenami ropy naftowej a cenami ukraińskiej kukurydzy i pszenicy. Dodatkowo kształtująca rynek krajowy zmienność światowych cen surowców rolnych miała istotny wpływ na spadki cen na Ukrainie. Mechanizm cen towarów rolnych niezwiązanych z eksportem kształtuje się głównie pod wpływem czynników rynku krajowego. W związku z tym mała współzależność cen nieeksportowych towarów rolnych i cen na rynku światowym warunkuje stabilność społeczną na Ukrainie.

    Celem niniejszego artykułu jest identyfikacja roli i zakresu koordynacji sieciowej w zarządzaniu bezpieczeństwem publicznym. Cel ten osiągnięto na podstawie przeglądu literatury oraz badań empirycznych. W toku rozważań scharakteryzowano koncepcję koordynacji i jej motywy, a także przedstawiono cechy koordynacji sieciowej. Ponadto zanalizowano istniejące zależności, powiązania sieciowe oraz metody koordynacji stosowane w zarządzaniu bezpieczeństwem publicznym. W rezultacie stwierdzono, że koordynacja w zarządzaniu bezpieczeństwem publicznym ma charakter międzyorganizacyjny i jest sposobem organizowania zadań niezależnych jednostek na podstawie norm społecznych, które ułatwiają adaptację do dynamicznych i zmiennych warunków działania.
    The goal of this article is to identify the role and scope of the network governance in public safety management. The article’s goal was reached using desk research analysis and empirical research. In the course of the analysis, the concept of coordination and its motives were characterized and also the features of network governance were presented. Furthermore, existing interdependencies, network connections and coordination methods used in public safety management were analyzed. As a result it was found that the coordination in public safety management has an interorganizational character and it is a way to organize actions of independent units based on social standards facilitating adaptation to dynamic and complex conditions.
