Opis:
Video systems are used in Intelligent Transportation Systems for vehicles’ tracking. Cameras typically used in these systems are characterized by relatively low dynamic range which is only a fragment of the dynamic range of the human eye. In order to adapt to the lighting conditions the cameras feature dynamic changes of the gain and exposure. For vehicles there is a very wide range of the observed brightness of details because of the variety of vehicles’ colors and the presence of elements reflecting light in different ways, as well as changing lighting conditions. This means that even if the camera is able to capture the relevant dynamic range, there is a restriction of the distinguishability of details, which is essential in the process of detecting the location of vehicles. The use of HDR imaging techniques based on various exposures helps to increase the dynamic range and improves the accuracy of vehicles’ positions estimation.

Opis:
The article considers the way to improve maneuverability of the vehicle by locking assembly angle. A model is described that makes the study of truck-train movement more convenient. Software for the multilink vehicle is designed. The algorithm to control basic mechanisms of the model is described. Some of the existing mechanisms to manage trailed link are shown, a new design that helps to manage road train when reversing is proposed.

Opis:
Intelligent transportation systems mostly operate on information exchange principle between vehicles and roadside infrastructure. They are commonly regarded as a base technology for persistent diminution of road accidents and traffic efficiency increase. However, intelligent transportation systems can also be used at all levels of transportation systems as a basis for stable development of cities, enterprises, regions, states, continents. According to the research, the existing intelligent transportation systems not only provide the considerable reduction of greenhouse gases emissions, fuel saving, time of travel cutting, but they don’t marginalize citizens’ mobility as well. Thus, the further development and introduction of modern transportation innovative technologies will allow to guarantee the power- and resources efficiency and, therefore, the sustainable development of the whole society.

This review addresses the intervehicular communication in Connected Vehicles (CV) by emphasizing V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) and V2I (vehicle-to-infrastructure) communications in terms of evolution, current standards, state-of-the-art studies, embedded devices, simulation, trends, challenges, and relevant legislation. This review is based on studies conducted from 2009 to 2019, government reports about the sustainable deployment of these technologies and their adoption in the Brazilian automotive market. Moreover, WAVE (Wireless Access in Vehicular Environment) and DSRC (Dedicated Short-range Communication) standards, the performance analysis of communication parameters and intervehicular available at the market are also described. The current status of ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) development in Brazil was reviewed, as well as the research institutes and governmental actions focused on introducing the concept of connected vehicles into the society. The Brazilian outlook for technological adoption concerning CVs was also discussed. Moreover, challenges related to technical aspects, safety and environmental issues, and the standardization for vehicle communication are also described. Finally, this review highlights the challenges and proposals from available technologies devoted to the roads and vehicular infrastructure communication, their evolution and upcoming trends.

This paper investigates energy budget characteristics of mobile base stations (BSs) having the form of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) equipped with radio frequency (RF) transceivers, intelligent reconfigurable surfaces (IRSs), and renewable energy sources (RES). The results obtained highlight the benefits and challenges related to using the aforementioned mobile BS, from the energy-related point of view. The specific cases researched involved two types of UAV devices, i.e. multirotor and fixed-wing (airplane-like) aircraft.
