Opis:
The standard of professional high school education in Latvia envisages including environmental education in the contents of professional schools as a separate subject, however, we see in practice that there are not teaching materials in chemistry education and environmental education provided for professional schools. The problem is even more acute due to the fact that the time provided for teaching chemistry in professional schools is approximately 3 times shorter than that in secondary schools. The research shows us that approximately 40% of professional high school students have knowledge about the character of chemical processes taking place in the environment. One of the main reasons for this insufficiency and the lack of understanding is the absence of didactical teaching materials.
Standardy wyższego kształcenia zawodowego w szkołach na Łotwie przewidują, że w programie nauczania tych szkół edukacja środowiskowa stanowi odrębny przedmiot nauczania. Jednak w praktyce brak jest materiałów dydaktycznych do prowadzenia w tych szkołach nauki chemii i edukacji środowiskowej. Problem ten jest jeszcze bardziej znaczący ze względu na czas przewidziany na nauczanie chemii w szkołach zawodowych, jest on około 3 razy krótszy niż w szkołach średnich. Wyniki badań pokazują, że tylko około 40% uczniów szkół zawodowych posiada wiedzę na temat charakteru procesów chemicznych zachodzących w środowisku. Jednym z głównych powodów tak niskiego poziomu nauczania i braku zrozumienia jest brak odpowiednich materiałów dydaktycznych.

This paper investigates the issues of education and integration conditions for Vietnamese immigrants’ children in Poland. These points of interest were primarily treated as the additional research connected with our teaching practices. It was conducted as an empirical study with three non-standardised interviews with the families, informal observations, and group discussions. Regardless of the limitation of a perhaps not significantly substantial range of data, the study led to the outlining of some concerns connected with the process of education and integration of the children in these Vietnamese families. The main four findings which are related to the research question are: the cultural differences and expectations of the parents, the language barriers of the parents, the typical stereotypes of educating children at home, and the conflicts of self-identification in the future. The research implied that children from all the immigrant groups should be assessed as to their growth as well as to the quality of their adaptation into the society.

This article sheds light on the relevance of intercultural education for the integration of refugee children. Modern man has witnessed immense changes with the rise of globalization, migration, refugee emigration, all of which implicate the growth of national multi-ethnicity and associated issues of multi-cultural society. In order to avoid the conflicts resulting from societies' heterogeneous structure, each society requires an infusion of knowledge and education directed toward attitudes of openness to cultural differences. An important part of this process belongs to the Polish school system, not only in educating, but also upbringing. The author of this publication provides an example of intercultural education in practice, built on the experience of a small elementary school with Chechen refugee children. Highlighted in this example is the integration practice “step after step,” aimed at strengthening ties and building positive relationships. 
Artykuł przybliża istotę i znaczenie edukacji międzykulturowej w procesie integrowania dzieci uchodźców. Współczesny człowiek jest świadkiem zachodzących i nieuniknionych  zmian typu: globalizacja, migracja, uchodźstwo, które implikują wzrastającą liczbę wieloetniczności państw i z tym związane problemy wielokulturowości. Aby zapobiec konfliktom wynikającym ze struktury heterogenicznych społeczeństw, należy upowszechniać wiedzę i edukować społeczeństwo w kierunku postaw otwartości wobec odmienności kulturowych. Istotne zadanie w wymienionym procesie ma do wykonania Polska szkoła, nie tylko w obszarze edukacji, ale i wychowania. Autorka artykułu podaje przykład realizacji edukacji międzykulturowej w praktyce na przykładzie małej szkoły podstawowej, w której uczą się dzieci uchodźców z Czeczenii. Szczególnie mocno został podkreślony sposób integrowania ,,krok po kroku”, który utrwala więzi i buduje pozytywne relacje.

The article demonstrates the expediency of integrating of knowledge of the structure and properties of substance and building materials. It is shown that this approach avoids duplication of related material, overcomes inconsistency in the interpretation of concepts, the use of quantities and units of their measurements. Didactic requirements for the implementation of the ideas of integrated learning of related material are substantiated, the integrated content of knowledge of the substance and materials is worked out, different forms and methods of knowledge integration are tested depending on the nature of the integrated material. Special feedback from teachers of special technology and masters of industrial training is received. The training offered by our programs also receives a positive assessment of the students due to the decrease in the workload, the reduction of homework with the same educational significance, the availability of special concepts, the emergence of interest in the study of physics. The experiment reveals that integrated lessons, lectures, laboratory and tests, as well as integrated questions, tasks with integrated content, concretization and supplementation of physical knowledge with general and special ones, use of complex tasks, etc. are found to be effective forms of knowledge integration. Generalization of the results of the experimental work shows the benefits of learning oriented programs that involve the integration of students’ knowledge about the structure and properties of substance and building materials. It is important not to overburden any educational process with excessive integration, but to focus on its optimal use: in fact, the laws of educational integrology are aimed at it.

Również polska gospodarka przygotowywana jest do implementacji innowacyjnych technologii zgodnych z tą nową koncepcją. Ogromny wpływ na powodzenie tego procesu ma przygotowanie i doskonalenie kadr pracowniczych – reforma polskiego systemu kształcenia i szkolenia zawodowego.
This article gives an overview about the next scientific and technological revolution, known as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which is practically implemented in the current decade in the economic systems of the leading countries of the world. The Polish economy is also preparing to implement innovative technologies in line with this new concept. The preparation and improve-ment of staffing – the reform of the Polish education and vocational training system has greatly influenced the success of this process.

In the following article the author presents basic directions of the European Union’s policy regarding migration and third-country nationals, as well as displays the significance of education in achieving said objectives. This article presents a legal framework of the European Union’s educational policy in migration’s context and shows the problem of immigrants’ integration through education in the culturally varied societies. The author draws attention to the significance of the integration’s model in which intercultural education plays a leading role. The author describes the difficulties associated with implementation of the European Union’s educational policy’s assumptions in local environments. In the article the author presents the conclusions of these issues’ analysis in order to indicate the main areas to improve.

Leaving mono-cultural (Christian) Europe and the transition to multiculturalism which is the result of colonial and post-colonial policies of many European countries, creates new challenges in the fi eld of integration. One of the possible instruments of integration is education. Th e study presents and evaluates the current university education integration process, and there are also presented some possible scenarios for further development of this form of integration. Th e process of European integration, supported by education, includes not only the content, the programs, or courses of study, but also the system of formation the future generations of the Europeans. Applying the education as an instrument of the European integration has been performed since the nineties of the twentieth century. Nowadays it is being run in accordance with the Treaty of Lisbon and many other normative acts of the EU, aiming to create a standardized educational space in Europe. However, this raises the fundamental question of the degree of social acceptance of such the processes and their eff ectiveness. For this purpose, the study analyzes the EU political normative acts, applying the statistical data and the elements of public opinion statements published in the leading European media.

The number of students with migrant experiences at Polish schools is increasing. This group includes both foreign students and Polish students coming back from emigration together with their parents. They receive educational support in order to facilitate their adaptation and integration. Those students are taught how to communicate at school and study in Polish, which means that they are taught the language of school education. Teaching the language of school education can be located in between foreign language didactics and native language didactics. The article describes the relation between teaching Polish as a language of school education and teaching Polish as a foreign language. The most important aspect of teaching a foreign language is to prepare a learner to communicate in everyday life and professional life situations. Efficiency is essential here; language correctness is of secondary importance. The most important element in the process of teaching the language of education is to develop the language skills that will enable a student to communicate at school, gain new knowledge and use it effectively. It requires different educational content, teaching methodology and requirements. The article presents the reflection on teaching the language of education with reference to the Polish educational system. The aim of education in the uniting Europe is to teach people of different cultures, religions and nationalities how to live together in peace. In the political aspect, it means bringing about rapprochement between nations. In Polish circumstances, Europeanism in the school context means carrying out activities aimed at making pupils realize the existence of the European Union, as well as its objectives and guiding rules. European education assumes that the European Community should be perceived not only in the institutional, economic or political perspective, but mainly in the human one, as related to ever tightening bonds within the frameworks of the OId Continent that build an integrated community. However, the consciousness of the on-going changes can hardly be acknowledged as prevailing and well founded, since the probing research reveals that the knowledge of European problems among present and future Polish teachers from the Upper Silesian region is only fragmentary. Such a state of affairs should be a subject of retlection, especially in view of PoIand's imminent accession to the European Union.

The author undertakes to analyse the integration discourse contained in guides for immigrants published in Poland. She concentrates on two major aspects: first, on the portrayal of Polish religiosity, and second, on descriptions of gender relations andthe social roles of men and women. Information booklets for foreigners are intended to educate foreigners about life in their new country. Theymay also be read as a self-portrait of the receiving society, defining its key values and preferred integration methods. In the case of the guides under analysis here, the Europeanization of the discourse on integration and foreigners is clear: they create an opposition between European values and models and those of non-European cultures. In the sphere of gender relations, the guides propagate equal rights, and the egalitarian vision of the receiving society is contrasted with the images of the non-egalitarian sending countries. In the sphere of religiosity, one of the guides in particular portrays Polish life as being imbued with the influence of Christianity.

The program for the integration of children with special needs in the regular educational frameworks supports and encourages the integration of children with a variety of special needs, temporary or ongoing, within the context of regular education, and sees integration as both a goal and value. The integration program is operated through a training and treatment system in the educational frameworks, which were formulated according to the special needs of those students. With the increase in the trend towards integration in Israel and the expectation that this trend will grow in the future, it is essential to continue to explore teachers’ perceptions and attitudes regarding integration as well as their needs for training and continuing education. The Arab education system in general and the issue of caring for children with special needs in school, in particular, are at huge gaps. The purpose of this paper is to review the literature on mainstream teachers’ at- titudes towards integration and, more recently, inclusion and to show the need of design research on attitudes of teachers in schools in Arab society in Israel towards the integration of students with special needs into regular classes.

The purpose of the research is to solve the paradox of religion integration in education, by the new balance between religion, philosophy and science, during the post communism transition. In the field of thinking, the process is the transition from ideology to integral thinking. It is realized through the re-evaluation of the topics of the integration of religion, transitology and integral though, education, inclusiveness, solidarity, new laicity and new secularity. In the philosophical sense, integration is the objective process of being developed. This is understood as a return to identity towards a universal being. In the context of the social being, the process realizes the opening and cooperative development of all mental, spiritual-religious, scientific, creative-artistic, economic, cultural, material and non-material political fields. It includes the individual, the community, and all institutions of social life. The path of integration development is the transitive movement in a spiral form. In Albania, with the fall of communism, freedom of religion was legalized according to the standards of European democracy. The rehabilitation of religious figures that had been condemned and persecuted by the totalitarian regime began. The post-communist transition brought profound changes in the field of faith and religion such as the new dimension in the relationship of society with religion, new and unfamiliar attitudes of believers to religion, new relations between the state and religious institutions, new relations between education and religion in public institutions, opening of religious schools and increasing the influence of religion through the media and religious literature. What is considered tolerance in Europe, in the Albanian case is respect. Albanians are the best model for religious tolerance (respect). There has never been a religious clash in Albania for any reason. Respect for the religious affiliation and religious belief of the other in the Albanian case is modeled as the guiding value of their identity and appears in everyday life as the acceptance of the other. For this reason, they are the best model of respect and acceptance of the other, regardless of religious affiliation. This is an ontological value, built over the centuries and continues to this day. Albanians have not converted, but have adapted to a religious belief for economic and survival reasons. Marriages with different religions and keeping two names (Christian and Muslim) are natural phenomena among Albanians. In Albania, there are in the family and tribe people with Christian and Muslim religions individuals with two names, Christian and Muslim: Kristo and Muhamed. Albanians have lived in peaceful symbiosis with the Slavs in the centuries of the latter’s influx into Albanian lands. They have also lived peacefully with other neighbors, Greeks or Romans. This is even though the neighbors have not always been peaceful with the Albanians.
