Opis:
Transformations of the functional and spatial structure of the city are a process in which spontaneous phenomena may occur. Designers of urban space may draw inspiration from the spontaneous activity in the natural environment. In the city, which is considered man’s natural habitat, spontaneous actions of the users of space generate chaos, but also initiate a new order. By using a variety of spatial planning instruments, one may prevent the possible destructive consequences of spontaneity. In this regard, the principles of shaping urban spaces inside culture parks are of particular importance.

The state and future of scientific disciplines is largely determined by their background, numerous importantevents, discoveries, achievements, but above all, eminent experts, people of science. Thanks to these people, it was possible to conduct many analyses and research programs, which were reflected in multiple scientific studies. In the case of Polish social pedagogy, Helena Radlińska, Aleksander Kamiński and Ryszard Wroczyński have undoubtedly become such persons. On the other hand, Polish sociology of education should be strongly associated, among others, with Florian Znaniecki, Józef Chałasiński and Stanisław Kowalski. In this article, I do not describe all the issues that are the focus of both subdisciplines. However, I would like to underline a few issues that I will present synthetically and which are personally important and interesting from the point of view of a social educator, namely: What are the sources of the emergence of social pedagogy as a scientific discipline and what associates it with the sociology of education; What priorities are imposed on social pedagogy and sociology of upbringing by the transformation of modern civilization and how are new social problems shaped in this context; finally how educational sociology has been an aid to social pedagogy and vice versa.

Artykuł poświęcony jest omówieniu widocznych w poezji Januarego Poźniaka, związków z Wincentym Polem. Wiersze Poźniaka, lwowskiego prawnika i społecznika od wczesnej młodości marzącego o byciu poetą, są świadectwem wieloletniej przyjaźni z Polem i jego żoną, Kornelią. Poźniak pisze m.in. o wyjeździe Pola do Wilna czy wykorzystując symbolikę ludową, opisuje romans poety z Kornelią. Twórczość Poźniaka ujawnia także wspólną obu poetom troskę o losy narodu, a także wiarę w nieprzemijalność sławy Pola. Fascynacja Polem – poetą i wieszczem – przejawia się nie tylko poprzez stosowaną przez Poźniaka leksykę, ale również poprzez nawiązania do jego poetyki przy jednoczesnym deprecjonowaniu własnych dokonań literackich (motyw zapomnienia i „rdzewiejącej gęśli”).
This article discusses noticeable links between January Poźniak and Wincenty Pol as revealed in the poetry of the former. Poźniak’s poetic oeuvre – a Lviv lawyer and social activist, who always dreamt of becoming a poet – is an evident testimony of his lifelong friendship with Pol and his wife Kornelia. Poźniak touches upon such issues like Pol’s departure to Vilnius or his romantic affair with Kornelia – embedded in a folk symbolic framework. Poźniak’s works also reveal that both authors shared their sentiment for the fate of the nation. They also unveil Poźniak’s strong belief in Pole’s everlasting fame. Poźniak’s fascination with Pol – a poet and a national prophet – presents itself through his choice of vocabulary and his references to Pol’s poetic conventions, accompanied with a tendency to depreciate Poźniak’s own literary achievements (cf. motives of oblivion and the “rusty gusle”).

W pracy przedstawiono źródła inspiracji intelektualnych wybranych znanych polskich ekonomistów. Do identyfikacji tych źródeł wykorzystano pamiętniki, wspomnienia i wywiady, które zawierają informacje o rozwoju intelektualnym ekonomistów w latach szkolnych, podczas studiów i w początkach kariery naukowej. Najczęściej ekonomiści wskazują środowisko szkoły średniej, samodzielną lekturę wybranych dzieł, studia i środowisko naukowe jako źródła inspiracji intelektualnych. Na uwagę zasługuje niezmienność źródeł w różnych pokoleniach ekonomistów. Ważnym, wskazywanym przez wybranych polskich ekonomistów źródłem inspiracji intelektualnych jest kontakt z literaturą w ramach samokształcenia oraz studiów wyższych. Przedmiotem lektury były prace z zakresu socjologii, filozofii, historii i ekonomii. Kontakt z wybitną osobowością podczas studiów to kluczowa inspiracja intelektualna ekonomistów w przyszłym rozwoju naukowym i zawodowym.
The article presents the sources of intellectual inspirations of selected, well-known Polish economists. Diaries, memories and interviews were used to identify these sources which contain information about the intellectual development of economists in school years, during the studies and at the beginning of a scientific career. Most often, economists indicate the secondary school environment, independent reading of selected works, the studies and the scientific community as sources of intellectual inspiration. Noteworthy is the invariability of sources in various generations of economists. The source of important intellectual inspiration, indicated by selected Polish economists, is contact with literature within self-study and higher education. Works in the field of sociology, philosophy, history and economics were the subject of reading. Contact with outstanding personality during studies is a key intellectual inspiration of economists in future scientific and professional development.

The volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous environment means growing challenges for companies. New ideas could be inspiring for managers who cope with complex problems. One of the fields within which academics look for solutions is nature. The mechanism behind immunology system could also bring some stimulants for managers’ thinking. The response towards a disturbance factor of the immune system is an inspiration for identifying a resistance system of the company. From the methodological point of view, the system approach constitutes a framework for building comparisons between two different research areas, respectively – immunology and the company. The external barriers subsystem, the non-specific defence subsystem, the fuzzy specificity subsystem and the target-oriented (specific) defence subsystem constitute the resistance system of the company. In business practice, the resistance system was analysed with reference to the activities of one of the small companies.

Many of the Froberger’s harpsichord compositions were inspired by the issues other than music. These works can be divided into two groups: works dedicated to particular people and programme pieces which are the descriptions of different events involving Froberger. Allemande faite en passant le Rhin dans une barque en grand peril, as a part of the fi rst Suite in e minor, belongs to the second group. The composition was inspired by some dramatic events seen by Froberger during his cruise on the Rhine which were then presented through music. In this article we attempt to analyze and interpret the compositional solutions aimed at presenting the non-musical content in the musical works. Considering the time when the Allemande... was composed, we chose rhetorical-musical analysis as the main research tool. Allemande... survived to our time in three manuscript sources: Ms . Bulyowsky , Ms. Tappert and Ms. SA 4450. The Ms. SA 4450 is significantly valuable for the research problem in our paper as it shows the division of Allemande... into 26 clearly separate sections, corresponding to 26 events seen by Froberger during his Rhine travel. Each of the 26 events has been both described in the written commentary and highlighted in the musical content. This unique record is invaluable for the interpretation of this work and provides the guidance for the interpretation of other Froberger’s compositions containing program in the title as it shows compositional solutions used directly for the purpose of presenting the non-musical content.

Modern Catholic school is subject of the ordinary teaching of Pope Francis. There are also important inspirations included in official documents. Pope emphasizes the topicality of the Catholic school, especially its role in the integral education of the young. Simultaneously, he calls for the commitment to the new evangelization, to be open to the poor, to dialogue with different cultures, to be faithful to Christian values. Pope Francis teachings also inspire to deepen individuals’ faith, take an integral part in the ecology together with practice of charity. Pope focuses on quality of Catholic school.

Celem przeprowadzonych analiz jest określenie źródeł inspiracji kształtujących gust artystyczny Stanisława Kostki Potockiego, wychowanego w otoczeniu wyrafinowanych dzieł architektury rodzinnej rezydencji, co pozwala posta¬wić hipotezę, która klasycystyczne fascynacje sztuką antyku odnajduje w kulturze czasów saskich.
The paper analyses the architecture of one of the finest palaces of the 18th Century in Poland, erected by Giovanni Fontana for Eustachy and Marianna Potocki in Radzyń Podlaski. One of their sons was Stanislaw Kostka, an eminent representative of the Enlightement, patron of art, architect-amateur, who played an important role in the history of the Classicism in Po¬land. The main object of the analysis is to establish sources of inspiration for the artistic taste of Stanislaw Kostka Potocki, educated in the middle of fine architecture of his family residence, thus enabling to make a hypothesis that the fascinations in the ancient art of the times of Classicism are rooted in the culture under the reign of the Saxon dynasty in Poland.

The aim of the article is to show the stages of the development of pre-school education in Poland in the 20th century, which set the directions for further changes in the pre-school area. The article was prepared on the basis of available historical sources in the form of specialist press, guides, and methodological manuals, as well as analysis of the literature on the subject. The work identifies and distinguishes innovative views and methods in the field of former pre-school education, which may constitute a form of contemporary pedagogical inspiration. The aim of this article consciously combines two important aspects, i.e., acquiring historical knowledge and its modern applications. The text discusses the history of pre-school education in Poland in the 20th century and shows its reminiscences in contemporary social and educational space. The text is an attempt to show the importance of pre-school education in the modern system, and drawing the reader’s attention to the achievements of Polish preschool education in the context of changes and needs of society in the area of care for pre-school children. The article is not an exhaustive study, but rather a contribution to considerations in this area.

In the hereby paper, an evaluation of selected determinants that motivates organizations to implement the environmental management system compliant with the ISO 14001 standard has been made. The aim of the paper is to answer the questions which of determinants have influence on decision making to implement environmental managing. A research group is a population of 91 enterprises located in south-eastern Poland. In the researches, a distribution of organizations close to organization’s population per a type of leading activity has been procured. On the basis of the obtained results it has been stated that the determinants deciding of decision making to implement the system are: endeavoring to productivity improvement and necessity of organization’s managing improvement. Most often benefits according to the respondents’ opinion, expected after implementation of the system, are improvement of the area of managing and also implementation of standardized - permanent betterment.
W artykule dokonano oceny wybranych determinantów motywujących organizację do wdrażania systemów zarzadzania środowiskowego zgodnych z normą ISO 14001. Artykuł ma celu udzielenie odpowiedzi, które z determinant mają wpływ na podjęcie decyzji o wdrożeniu zarządzania środowiskowego. Grupę badawczą stanowi populacja 91 przedsiębiorstw z Polski południowo-wschodniej. W badaniach uzyskano rozkład organizacji zbliżony do populacji organizacji wg rodzaju prowadzonej działalności. W oparciu o uzyskane wyniki stwierdzono, że determinantami decydującymi o podjęciu decyzji o wdrożeniu systemu jest dążenie do poprawy produktywności oraz konieczność poprawy zarządzania organizacją. Spodziewane korzyści z wdrożenia systemu to najczęściej w opinii respondentów poprawa w obszarze zarzadzania, a także wprowadzenie standaryzowanego - permanentnego doskonalenia.

Franz Liszt is one of the greatest artists of the 19th century. He has attended the most important artistic and social events providing comments on their literature and musical aspects. In his articles published in ‘Gazette Musicale’ (1835—1841) he treats the artist, their place in the society till in his correspondence he reflects the life condition of the workers. This social sensibility can be observed in Lyon (1837) in the cycle Impressions et poesies. The literature was one of his main interests. All his life he kept reading and commenting in his correspondence the works he had read and most importantly he tried to imple-ment it in his musical works. The result of these attempts was the creation of the pro-gram music, a music inspired very often by the literature or preceded by a literature piece. In my article I am presenting the music of Liszt that has inspired literature deeds. My research is directed towards two works — the novel entitled Mefisto-Walc by Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz and the poem by Paweł Kubisz entitled Rapsod o Oszeldzie. Both are very different. In the first work it is the music (Erster Mephisto-Walzer) one of the main actors, equal to the others, the composer is just mentioned. In the work of Kubisz, Liszt is a principle actor who inspires the struggle of the workers and leads towards liberty and his music occupies secondary place (Lyon, Mazeppa, Mephisto-Walz). Both the works have one common point — Franz Liszt and his music. They both also refer to Faust. Ein Gedicht of Nikolas Lenau that has preceded Erster Mephisto-Walzer. They both have not only a common musical intertext but also a literature intertext though the musical work, what I have called intertext of second degree. This is proof that Liszt was right that it is possible to implement the ideas in the music.PE

Reflections have been made on inspirations based on nature, which regenerate the identity of architecture. The analysis was placed in the perspective from the eighteenth to the twenty-first century. It was noticed that the crises of architecture and urbanism that were taking place at that time were overcome thanks on concrete inspirations by nature, adequate to current knowledge. The „returns to nature”, which suggest a return to the sources and the „turns towards nature” suggesting a reversal from existing situation towards other, recognized as natural. They also indicate the different aspects of nature, that can be included in two trends of inspirations: formal, based on the stylization of the shapes of nature and rational, consisting in the simplicity and the logic of nature visible in its constructions, processes and principles of functioning. The nature in such a broad sense appears as an inexhaustible source of original inspirations. The indicated examples, despite formal differences, have a similar force of regenerating the identity of architecture in situations of exhausting its forms and their inadequacy to current needs. The conclusions attempt to generalize the phenomenon described.
W artykule podjęto refleksję nad inspiracjami naturą odradzającymi tożsamość architektury. Analizę osadzono w perspektywie od XVIII do początku XXI wieku. Zauważono, że kryzysy architektury i urbanistyki mające wtedy miejsce, były pokonywane w oparciu o konkretne inspiracje naturą adekwatne do ówczesnej wiedzy. Omówione powroty do natury i zwroty ku naturze sugerują odwrót od istniejącej sytuacji w stronę inną, kojarzoną z przyrodą. Wskazują także na odmienne aspekty natury, które dają się ująć w dwa nurty inspiracji: formalny, oparty na stylizowaniu kształtów natury oraz racjonalny, polegający na prostocie i logice natury widocznej w jej konstrukcjach, procesach i zasadach funkcjonowania. Natura w tak szerokim ujęciu jawi się jako niewyczerpane źródło oryginalnych inspiracji. Wskazane przykłady, pomimo różnic formalnych, mają podobną siłę odradzania tożsamości architektury w sytuacjach wyczerpania jej form i ich nieadekwatności do aktualnych potrzeb. We wnioskach podjęto próbę uogólnienia opisanego zjawiska.

Efektywność rozwiązań proekologicznych w budynkach zależy od tego, jak wcześnie w procesie projektowania zostanie zdefiniowany cel środowiskowy i na ile uda się powiązać go z fazą koncepcyjną projektu. Artykuł odnosi się do wstępnego etapu tworzenia koncepcji architektonicznej budynku, jakim jest poszukiwanie inspiracji i wiązanie ich z wiedzą dotyczącą rozwiązań proekologicznych. Podjęto tu rozważania na temat możliwości prośrodowiskowego kierunkowania inspiracji w projektowaniu architektonicznym i narzędzi, które mogłyby temu służyć. Zdaniem autorów ich brak jest zauważalny i ogranicza możliwości rozpowszechniania projektowania odpowiedzialnego środowiskowo. Zamierzeniem artykułu jest określenie ogólnej charakterystyki narzędzia, które mogłoby wypełnić ten brak. W tym celu dokonano analizy dwóch platform internetowych: popularnej platformy Pinterest, która choć nie jest przeznaczona bezpośrednio do projektowania architektonicznego, stanowi powszechne źródło inspiracji dla architektów i inwestorów, oraz specjalistycznej platformy Palette 2030 stworzonej jako baza danych ułatwiająca dotarcie do wiedzy na temat rozwiązań proekologicznych na wczesnym etapie projektowania. Wnioski dotyczą możliwości łączenia cech obu platform w celu usprawnienia wymiany informacji, doświadczeń i efektów, a także tworzenia podłoża dla wartościowych, pogłębionych ideowo, a nie jedynie wizualnych inspiracji.
Efficiency of ecological measures for sustainable architecture depends greatly upon the moment in which it is defined as essential, and how early it can be applied during the design concept stage. The following article refers to inspiration, the initial stage of the design and means to combine it with substantial knowledge regarding ecological architecture. Means, such as computer programs were taken into consideration. Authors conclude that a visible void of viable tools in such regard is observable, which might lead to limited popularity of sustainable architecture in general. The article is mainly intended to evaluate the characteristic for a tool that could match the profile of ecological inspiration enhancer, and would be able to function in the reality of a complex architecture market. An assessment of two internet platforms was conducted for this purpose, namely Pinterest and Palette 2030. Pinterest, although not dedicated only to architects, found its way to the architects tool box thanks to its popularity among clients. Palette 2030, on the other hand, is a professional internet database that allows architects to access ecological knowledge at the early stage of the design process. Conclusions combine specific characteristics of both platforms in a way that would allow to estimate, if any potential solution for a tool with which to encourage smart, ecological solutions is possible.

The poetry of Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz includes various – and unique in the 20th century Polish literature – references to actual musical compositions. Johannes Brahms and Ser-gei Rachmaninoff are among the composers, whose pieces are most often present in this poetry. Close reading of chosen poems, which conduct intertextual and intersemiotic dialog with Brahms’ and Rachmaninoff’s compositions, allows one to distinguish vari-ous models of this dialog and its functions. It becomes possible – in the wider biograph-ical context – to ask about the meaning of German and Russian music to the writer and to the, often autobiographical, subjects of his poems. It leads also to the question of the relation between music and memory in Iwaszkiewicz’s poetry, based sometimes on a surprising counterpoint with respect to the sérénité motive. In the context of this rela-tion another motive seems to come to the fore, the motive of the lost world, to which, as the protagonist of Brzezina says, ‘I will never return, and which I have never truly expe-rienced’. 34

Mathematicians use theological metaphors when they talk in the kitchen of mathematics. How essential is this talk? Have theological considerations and religious concepts influenced mathematics? Can mathematical models illuminate theology? Some authors have given positive answers to these questions, but they do not seem final. It is unclear how religious views influenced the work of those mathematicians who were also theologians. Religious background of some mathematical concepts could have been inessential. Mathematical models in theology have no predictive value. It is, however, important to continue the recently initiated search for the mutual influences of mathematics and theology.
