Opis:
Post-industrial areas are an area of concentration, penetration and shaping the economic, social and environmental zone. The strategic goal of transforming post-industrial areas should be to obtain a new, dynamic and favorable state of equilibrium for a given area, as well as its surroundings after cessation of operations. The purpose of the article is to indicate the possibility of adaptation of post-industrial areas, especially after exploitation of the mineral, to perform new functions. The direction and the purpose of the recultivation and planning actions to a large extent may be influenced by specific social and economic conditions affecting the competitiveness of each and individually treated fragment of space.

In this article authors introduced a chosen issues concerning the cooperation of industrial defence potential of States Wyszehrad Group. It is expected the creation of the Wyszehrad Combat Group in 2016. Moreover authors presented an initial possibility of the realization of needs of Armed Forces of V4 Group by units of defence industry.

In this article a chosen issues were presented which concerning the realization process of defence tasks. Moreover a potential legal possibilities were described of imposed tasks which posses a result of EMP Programme. These tasks belong to the entrepreneurs which are representing a special economic – defence significance. A lot of difficult problems were indicated in the methodologies and they have influence on the quality of imposed task.

Przedmiotem artykułu są działania rewitalizacyjne podejmowane na zdegradowanych obszarach miast należących do rdzenia Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowskiej Metropolii. Wybrane przykłady obejmują działania prowadzone w kierunku rozwoju: przedsiębiorczości, usług, kultury, zabudowy mieszkaniowej, sportu, rekreacji. Celem badań jest identyfikacja, a także rozmieszczenie zrealizowanych i planowanych projektów rewitalizacji obiektów, obszarów zdegradowanych, a ponadto ocena ich wpływu na zmianę wizerunku miast poprzemysłowej metropolii oraz poprawę warunków życia społeczności miejskich.
The subject of the paper are revitalization activities undertaken in degraded areas of cities belonging to the core of the Metropolis GZM. The selected examples include activities undertaken for the development of entrepreneurship, services, cultures, housing, sports and recreation. The aim of the study is to identify and locate completed and planned projects for the revitalisation of buildings and degraded areas, and to assess their impact on changing the image of the cities of the post-industrial metropolis, and improving the living conditions of urban communities.

Głównym tematem poruszanym w artykule jest pytanie o zasadność wykorzystywania elementów poprzemysłowych w tworzeniu nowego wizerunku i dążeniach do ożywienia regionu. Problem omówiony został na przykładzie doliny Przemszy i Brynicy w województwie śląskim. Zaprezentowane wyniki analiz przedstawiają potencjał obszarów o charakterze poprzemysłowym przez ocenę wybranych aspektów: wartości historycznej i zachowania cennych struktur, widoczności i kształtowania krajobrazu, możliwości udostępnienia w celu aktywnego użytkowania. Jak wykazują badania, elementy poprzemysłowe w krajobrazie i przestrzeni doliny są znaczącym zasobem. W wielu przypadkach charakteryzują się wysoką wartością kulturową, autentycznością, w bardzo dużym stopniu budują charakter miejsca. Nie tylko są dziedzictwem przeszłości - choć i to jest istotne w budowaniu tożsamości – ale szansą na przyszłość i tworzenie nowej jakości. Ich autentyczność i unikalny klimat można wykorzystać w sposób nowy i odpowiadający na współczesne potrzeby - tym bardziej iż okazuje się, że wiele z obszarów nadaje się do udostępnienia i użytkowania. Elementy poprzemysłowe - zamiast znikać z krajobrazu - mogą nabierać nowego znaczenia i tworzyć unikalne, wyróżniające ten obszar połączenia. Poprzez indywidualne podejście radykalne i niekonwencjonalne pomysły mogą stać się dobrze wykorzystaną szansą.

The aim of the article is to investigate the industrial tourist potential of the city of Kryvyi Rih based on the identification and description of its industrial heritage. The potential for industrial tourism development in Kryvyi Rih as a city with a powerful base of active industrial facilities and heritage sites is revealed. Attention is focused on the importance and necessity of using its this potential for tourism development by declaring this goal in medium and long-term development programs and strategies. Zostały zdefiniowane mechanizmy instytucjonalne dla tworzenia i rozwoju parków przemysłowych. Stosowane są systemowe instrumenty wsparcia państwowego dla rozwoju parków przemysłowych na świecie.
The foreign experience of creation and development of the industrial parks as one of the efficient instruments of the neoindustrial transformation of industrial potential is researched. The institutional arrangements of formation and development of the industrial parks are determined. The instruments of government support of the industrial parks’ development around the globe are generalized.
Исследован зарубежный опыт создания и развития индустриальных парков как одного из эффективных инструментов неоиндустриальной трансформации промышленного потенциала. Определены институциональные механизмы формирования и развития индустриальных парков. Обобщены инструменты государственной поддержки развития индустриальных парков в странах мира.

The article is devoted to the topic of Ukraine’s readiness for innovations in industry 4.0. The article also discusses the concept of the 4th industrial revolution. The proposed methodology for assessing readiness for innovations is based on the annual ranking of The Global Innovation Index of Cornell University, the French Business School and Research Institute (INSEAD), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and official EU statistics. An analysis was carried out of Ukraine’s readiness for innovation in comparison with EU countries in the area of "The Conditions for Creating Innovative Potential, Level of Innovation Potential, Conditions for Realization of Innovative Potential, Realization of Innovative Potential". A cluster analysis of countries regarding the level of preparedness for innovation based on the indicators was also made. The strengths and weaknesses of Ukraine as an innovative country are highlighted, practical recommendations are also given for improving the level of innovative development in the country.

Centralny Okręg Przemysłowy, unikalny program gospodarczo-wojskowy w Europie Środkowo-Wschodniej realizowany w latach 1936–1939, stanowił istotne osiągnięcie Polski doby Drugiej Rzeczypospolitej. Decyzja o jego budowie wynikała z konieczności wzmocnienia potencjału wojenno-ekonomicznego państwa wobec wzrastającego napięcia w stosunkach międzynarodowych i zagrożenia ze strony sąsiadów i potencjalnych przeciwników Polski, a także zapewnienia armii nowoczesnego uzbrojenia i wyposażenia. W realizacji programu jedną z zasadniczych ról odegrały instytucje wojskowe.
The Central Industrial District was a unique economic and military program in Central and Eastern Europe initiated in the years 1936-1939, constituting a significant achievement for Poland in the Second Polish Republic. The decision to establish it resulted from the need to strengthen the state's military and economic potential, the increasing tension in international relations and the threat posed by Poland's neighbours and potential enemies, as well as providing the army with modern weapons and equipment. Military institutions played one of the essential roles in the implementation of the program.

Francja posiada jeden z najlepiej rozwiniętych i nowoczesnych przemysłów obronnych w Europie, który umożliwia zaspokajanie krajowych potrzeb w sprzęt wojskowy oraz stanowi istotny sektor gospodarki, dzięki któremu Francja jest jednym z czołowych eksporterów uzbrojenia na świecie. W związku z precyzyjnym określeniem roli i znaczenia przemysłu zbrojeniowego w dokumentach o randze strategicznej (Biała księga), możemy stwierdzić, że przemysłowy potencjał obronny stanowi istotny element obrony narodowej Francji. Źródłem współczesnego kształtu tego sektora były mocarstwowe ambicje Francji, które przejawiały się w chęci do utrzymania samowystarczalności. W konsekwencji prowadzona przez wiele lat polityka dotycząca sektora obronnego przedkładała czynniki polityczne nad ekonomicznymi, ale z drugiej strony wieloletnia wizja sprzyjała efektywnemu rozwojowi. Może to stanowić przykład dla innych krajów, takich jak Polska, które dokonują przeobrażeń rodzimego przemysłu w kierunku zwiększenia jego roli i znaczenia dla obrony narodowej.
France has one of the most developed and modern defense industries in Europe, which allows to meet the domestic needs of the military and is an important sector of the economy, by which France is one of the leading exporters of arms in the world. Due to the precise role and importance of the defense industry in the documents of the strategic rank (White Paper), we conclude that the industrial defense potential is an important component of national defense of France. The source of the present shape of this sector were imperial ambitions of France, which manifested itself in a desire to maintain self-sufficiency. As a result, political factors for many years where more important that economic, on the other hand, long-term vision supported effective development. This may be an example for other countries, such as Poland, which perform transformations domestic industry to increase its role and significance for national defense.

Opis:
Purpose: The main purpose of the article is to present, based on the literature on the subject, the essence of the innovative potential and innovative activity of a company as generators of innovative processes. Design/methodology/approach: The study used the methodology developed by Eurostat and OECD, as presented in the Oslo Manual. Findings: The empirical part presents, using statistical data, the innovative activity of Polish industrial enterprises in the years 2017-2019. Originality/value: The survey of industrial and service enterprises was conducted between 2017 and 2019, and its results were published in 2020. The results of the study can be used in strategic decisions of enterprises in the field of innovative activities of Polish industrial enterprises.

Opis:
The aim of the work is to study spatial concentration of knowledge resources and innovative activity of management entities to determine types of innovative industrial clusters in Ukraine and levers of government control of the innovative development of industrial potential. The foreign experience of innovative industrial clusters creating is analyzed and we define them as basic participants in the article. The model of innovative industrial clusters forming is worked out. The system of indicators of evaluation of the development level of intellectual and economic constituents is offered in order to distinguish innovative industrial clusters in Ukraine. The integral index of the intellectual constituent development is calculated and the ranking of administrative-territorial units is conducted by the mentioned index. The clustering of administrative-territorial units is conducted by the method of indistinct S-averages taking into account indexes of innovative activity, that characterize the state of the economic constituent development. The basic types of innovative industrial clusters are distinguished based on the comparison of levels of the intellectual and economic constituents development. It was defined that an important problem for Ukraine, that is necessary to overcome in the nearest perspective, is absence of the close collaboration among science and business structures. Creation of innovative clusters of the mixed type is considered as the modern basis of the industrial potential development that will assist to transfer innovations, to increase the competitiveness of spatial development and the national economy on the whole. The state, as the third participant of the cluster, should play the role of the regulator of this cooperation. The levers of the state stimulation of the industrial potential development on the innovative basis for certain types of innovative industrial clusters are offered in the article.
