Opis:
Creative activity of a human being results in works valuable both in individual and social terms. Such activity enables man to gain deeper and better insight into the essence and mystery of the world, its guiding principles and to discover what has been so far unknown. The creative potential of a child becomes evident from the first years of spontaneous activity, language acquisition and artistic creations. Due to this potential, a child makes significant progress in getting to know the surrounding world. Such creative impetus goes through subsequent crises quite soon, with increasing conformist behaviour. However, outstanding creativity does not disappear as fast as egalitarian one and for many years its level remains high. The results of research and of biographical analysis carried out by the author concerning outstanding creators show that individual activity of the creators determines whether creative potential is used or not. Moreover, such individual activity remains a dominant factor stimulating the development of creators, while egalitarian creativity is to a large extent determined by environment and upbringing. Strong ego, dominance and nonconformism make creators independent and self-confident individuals, capable of self-determination and strong-minded, in particular as regards their imperative of creative activity in the field they have chosen. Due to individual activity one does not succumb to the pressure of the surrounding, but exerts independent control upon one’s own resources and the environment. The assumption that individual activity constitutes a dominant factor in the development of outstanding creators was supported with the analysis of biographic facts.

The subjective dimension of career development involves and connects career planning with private models of human life, professional aspirations and with the way they perceive their experiences. It should be noted here that Theory of Work Adjustment (R.V. Dawis) is the theoretical orientation, which attempts to explain satisfaction with career development by reference to the dynamics of the relationship between the subject and the environment. , is the theory of employability. The theory is rooted in the tradition of individual differences in the professional behaviour. This perspective links the career choice and development, seen as a permanent process, with the cycles of work adaptation, the source of which lies in the feeling of dissatisfaction. Unmet need of satisfaction is seen as a state of insatiability. Individuals aim at meeting this need through adaptation, which means seeking professional organizations and communities to meet their expectations (in the context of quality of meeting needs). The result of the search for determinants of job satisfaction is to draw attention to the following relationship, namely: commitment to a career increases the level of satisfaction resulting from career development.

This study investigated whether the application of video clips with small groups or with individual teaching-learning activities improved the speaking skills of young EFL learners the most; accordingly a quasi-experimental study with a pre-test, post-test design was done. The instrument used in this study was a test in the form of an oral test or interview. The results showed that the mean score from the students in the Small Group Activities group at 67.27 was higher than the mean score from the Individual Activities group at 51.29 with a level of significance 0.00 < 0.05. This meant that the application of video clips and teaching-learning Small Group Activities gave better results than teaching with Individual Activities. The results suggested that teaching-learning speaking ESL with video clips using Small Group Activity techniques could be one of the best alternatives to improve young learners’ speaking performances.

The aim of this paper is to characterise the innovativeness of individual farms in the Łódź region. Based on a domestic and foreign literature study, the most frequently used variables connected with farms (namely, the type of agricultural activity, economic size and VAT settlement system) were selected. The analysis of selected variables that characterise the innovative activity of the researched entities was carried out using the basic measures of structural analysis and interdependence of phenomena. The analysis was based on the results of questionnaire interviews conducted among 150 individual farms from the Łódź region which keep accounting books under the Polish FADN.

The article is devoted to the issue of satisfaction with work – expectations and implementation – from the perspective of individual business activity. The results of three survey-type research projects carried out in the years 2002–2019 among persons conducting business activity in the Lubelskie Voivodeship (a total of 1696 respondents) were used as empirical material. Comparative analysis was based on the replication of variables and indicators. The study consists of two parts. The first presents the definition problems regarding self-employment, theoretical foundations and the subject of the analysis, an outline of the methodology and features of the examined communities. The second part contains the description of the research results. The analysis concerns the values and needs associated with work, determining the degree of their mapping in the work performed, and then the factors determining the chances of success of the business ventureIn order to obtain an image of structuralization of a comprehensive set of the valued aspects of work, principal component analysis (PCA) was applied. The extracted dimensions are used in the logistic regression models as predictors explaining the conditions of achievements: satisfaction with work and good economic condition of companies. The adopted perspective of the work situation allows, above all, to capture the multidimensional diversity of the population of people running a business, as well as strategies for self-employment.
Artykuł został poświęcony zagadnieniu satysfakcjonującej pracy – oczekiwaniom i realizacji – z perspektywy indywidualnej działalności gospodarczej. Jako materiał empiryczny wykorzystano wyniki trzech projektów badawczych typu surveyowego, wykonanych w latach 2002–2019 wśród osób prowadzących działalność gospodarczą na terenie województwa lubelskiego (łącznie 1696 respondentów). Analizę porównawczą oparto na replikacji zmiennych i wskaźników. Opracowanie składa się z dwóch części. W pierwszej zostały przedstawione problemy definicyjne dotyczące pracy na własny rachunek, podstawy teoretyczne i przedmiot analizy badań własnych, zarys metodologii i cechy badanych zbiorowości. Druga część zawiera opis rezultatów badawczych. Przeprowadzona analiza dotyczy wartości i potrzeb łączonych z pracą, ustalenia stopnia ich odwzorowania w wykonywanej pracy, a następnie czynników określających szanse powodzenia przedsięwzięcia gospodarczego. W celu uzyskania obrazu strukturalizacji obszernego zbioru cenionych aspektów pracy zastosowano analizę głównych składowych (PCA). Wyodrębnione wymiary zostały wykorzystane w modelach regresji logistycznej jako predyktory objaśniające uwarunkowania osiągnięć: zadowolenia z pracy i dobrej kondycji ekonomicznej firm. Przyjęta perspektywa sytuacji pracy pozwala – poza wszystkim – uchwycić wielowymiarowe zróżnicowanie zbiorowości osób prowadzących działalność gospodarczą, podobnie jak strategii pracy na własny rachunek.

The work of the administration should serve the interests of the parties involved and of the public. That very need for proportionate and reasonable actions of the administration has led to establishing one of the basic principles in the process of issuing administrative acts, the participation of the interested parties in the procedure before the administrative authority. This is achieved by the requirement that, before issuing the act, the authority is to gather the opinions and statements of the members of the public who will be affected by it and to reflect them in the final act. The guarantee that members of the public will be allowed to participate in the procedure and influence the final content of the act is the judicial review of the administrative act.

Achievement goals assumes that govern achievement beliefs guide subsequent decision making and behavior in achievement contexts. The purpose of the study was to analyze the goal perspectives (task and ego orientation) based on personal and disability-related characteristics. Material and methods: The participants in this study were 140 people with physical disabilities (n=107 men, and n=33 women. Their age ranged from 14 to 67 years (M=35.31, SD=10.67). The participants filled the Task and Ego Orientation in Sports Questionnaire (TEOSQ). In addition following factors were put into analysis: gender, age, family status, education, occupational status, disability [congenital versus acquired], type of disability [spinal cord injury, brain palsy, amputation, poliomyelitis, muscular dystrophy and other type], type of activity [sport activities - competitive versus recreational - and any activity], type of sport [team versus individual sports], type of experience [resistance, strength and skills], and type of games [Paralympic, European, National and Sectional]). Results: Results showed that people with physical disabilities who mainly take part in physical activities manifest a high disposition of task orientation (M=3.96, SD=0.67) and moderate ego orientation (M=2.61, SD=0.82) in physical activities settings. In addition, the results revealed that personal characteristics, type of activity, and athletic experience play a small role in the existence of individual differences in goal perspectives. Conclusions: The people with physical disabilities, mainly athletes, show a predisposition towards task orientation on achievement settings in physical activities, and the personal characteristics as exercise form (competitive, recreation, no exercise), and athletic experiences effect in the existence of individual differences in goal perspectives.

The article draws a program of studying upward social mobility that places individuals' perspective at its center. In individual-centered perspective socialist society can be viewed as a conglomerate of individual self-protective activities aming at the job acquisition in its institutions. The analysis of historic field therefore means the analysis of studying the individuals' life situations. These situations are to be studied as sets of circumstances, stemming from individuals' position in social structure, their biography as well as from broader historical setting. The task of upward social mobility analysis concentrating on individual is the study of the role of emotions and cultural behavior that accompanies the situation of transition (to the public sector, from unqualified to qualified jobs as well as into managerial positions).

Metabolic activity of boar spermatozoa, liquid stored for three days at 5℃, was measured using bioluminescence for ATP content, fluorescent assay (JC fluorochrome) of mitochondrial activity and oxygen consumption. Sperm motility and plasma membrane integrity (PMI) were simultaneously analyzed. Apart from the statistically significant effect (P < 0.001) of semen storage time, the importance of the individual source of the ejaculate for the analyzed parameters of metabolic efficiency of spermatozoa was shown. This phenomenon was manifested in the interaction of the individual source of the ejaculate with spermatozoa motility, integrity of their membranes and metabolic activity with the passing time of semen preservation. Recorded results indicate that the individual factor may have a significant influence on the technological usefulness of boar spermatozoa for liquid storage. Quality analyses conducted on boar semen stored at 5℃ may be used for pre-selection of boars producing sperm with an enhanced tolerance to cold shock.

Financial derivatives are used in economic activity undertaken not only by legal, but also by individual persons. According to the tax consequences of transactions consisting in implementation of the rights arising from derivative financial instruments, it must first be determined whether the effects of this title shall be settled within the revenue sources which is non-agricultural economic activity or revenue sources from capital gains. The article analyzes the key issue, namely, whether there is any connection of the derivative transaction with a business. The conditions were specified that, in the author's opinion, allow to settle revenues / costs arising from the implementation of the rights of the derivative financial instruments in the course of business, when the turnover in derivative financial instruments is not the subject of this activity.

Political science research on the civil activity are mostly concentrated on the quantitative approach, the results of such research allow for determining the scale of a phenomenon, comparing the situation on the defined areas, they also provide the possibility to observe tendencies and changes. The aim of the article is to present the use of qualitative methods in the completed research on the civil activity of secondary school students in Kraków, where focusing on the part of a reality allowed for observing the group in context and better understanding of the phenomenon. The article presents basic fortes and weaknesses of the quantitative and qualitative studies, as well as possibilities of secondary data analysis. The analysis results of the study conducted using the observation and interview (individual and group) methods and preliminary conclusions, which can be useful for quantitative research preparation for the 13–16 age group have been presented in the article. The realization of both quantitative and qualitative research does not, however, give a certain answer for all the research questions and brings many new challenges.

Variation in income earned from individual farms is affected by a variety of factors such as soil quality, technical advancement, agricultural policy reforms, work efficiency, as well as scale and directions of agricultural production. The level of income earned by business entities, including individual farms, is a significant factor that affects expenses incurred in relation to the operation of an agricultural business and expenses to satisfy the needs of each member of a farmer’s household. The objective of this paper is to determine the impact of the type of agricultural activity undertaken and the area of agricultural land on income earned by individual farms in Poland. In addition, an attempt was made to evaluate regional variation in financial, area-related, and production indicators taken into consideration in the course of the study between individual farms. The results have been presented at the regional NUTS 2 level in Poland for 2017. Results of the study conducted have been visualised by means of the statistical, descriptive, comparative, and graphical method. Coefficients of variation Vs and correlation coefficients rxy were calculated. The study has revealed that there is a significant regional variation in Poland in terms of income earned by individual farms. Regional variation has also been found in the scale and type of agricultural production undertaken. In addition, it has been proven that the level of income earned from individual farms depends on the type of agricultural activity undertaken and on the area of agricultural land.
Na zróżnicowanie dochodów uzyskiwanych z gospodarstw indywidualnych wpływa wiele czynników, takich jak: jakość gleb, klimat, zaawansowanie techniczne, reformy polityki rolnej, wydajność pracy oraz skala i kierunki produkcji rolniczej. Poziom dochodów uzyskiwanych przez jednostki gospodarcze, w tym również gospodarstwa indywidualne, jest istotną przesłanką wpływającą na ponoszone koszty związane z prowadzeniem działalności rolniczej oraz wydatki w celu zaspokajania potrzeb wszystkich członków gospodarstwa domowego rolnika. Celem artykułu jest określenie wpływu rodzaju prowadzonej działalności rolniczej oraz powierzchni użytków rolnych na dochody uzyskiwane przez gospodarstwa indywidualne w Polsce. Podjęto także próbę oceny regionalnego zróżnicowania gospodarstw indywidualnych pod względem uwzględnionych podczas badania wskaźników finansowych, powierzchniowych oraz produkcyjnych. Wyniki zaprezentowano na poziomie regionalnym NUTS 2 w Polsce dla 2017 roku. W celu zobrazowania wyników przeprowadzonego badania posłużono się metodą statystyczną, opisową, porównawczą i graficzną. Obliczono współczynniki zmienności Vs oraz korelacji rxy. Badania wykazały, że w Polsce występuje istotne regionalne zróżnicowanie pod względem uzyskiwanych dochodów przez gospodarstwa indywidualne. Regionalne zróżnicowanie występuje również w zakresie skali i rodzaju prowadzonej produkcji rolniczej. Ponadto wykazano, że poziom dochodów uzyskiwanych z gospodarstw indywidualnych jest uzależniony od rodzaju prowadzonej działalności rolniczej oraz powierzchni użytków rolnych.
