The paper address an issue related to the indicators and mechanisms of transition from one stage of education to another in the context of L.S. Vygotsky’s cultural-historical theory. On the basis of an analysis of the cultural-historical theory and its respective pedagogical practice it can be inferred that the realization of the process of education, constructed in the logic of the development of “sense-meaning” relationship, enables formation of the value sphere of will in children, which becomes reflected in the level and quality of the learners’ developing awareness. The specificity of the construction of such education prompts the purposeful and directed development of an individual’s imagination at different ages. The presented specific traits of the development of imagination at different stages of childhood and the described respective features of educational curricula construction are aimed at the creation of conditions for the development of the sphere of sense.

АнотаціяУ статті розглянуто питання технічного розвитку студентів, та роль графічної підготовки у цьому процесі. Запропоновано методичні матеріали для розвитку просторової уяви, просторового мислення, опанування графічної грамоти, оперування просторовими образами та об’єктами, уміння оперувати, перетворювати і моделювати нові образи й уявлення у своїй професійній діяльності.Формування та розвиток просторової уяви – це основна складова частина навчального процесу, яка реалізується за допомогою опанування таких графічних дисциплін, як Інженерна такомп’ютерна графіка, Проектна графіка, Дизайн, Нарисна геометрія та креслення, Прикладне геометричне моделювання та ін.Ефективним методом опанування графічною грамотою є візуалізація, яка дозволяє передати в найкоротший термін необхідний об’єм інформації у вигляді графічних зображень з мінімальною текстовою частиною.На заняттях графічних дисциплін формуються уміння оперувати просторовими образами, розумовою і мислинєвою діяльністю. Ці процеси відбуваються за допомогою просторової уяви, просторового пізнання, уявлень, просторової пам’яті, мисленнєвих операцій і просторового сприйняття.Просторове сприйняття нової графічної інформації дає можливість оперувати, перетворювати і моделювати нові образи й уявлення у професійній діяльності, сприяючи орієнтуванню та розташування об’єктів у будь-якої сфері професійної діяльності.Ключові слова технічний розвиток, просторова уява, графічні зображення, просторове мислення, графічна підготовка, просторове сприйняття, уявлення.
The article deals with the technical development of students and the role of graphic training in this process. Methodical materials for the development of spatial imagination, spatial thinking, mastering graphic literacy, managing spatial images and objects, operating, transforming andmodeling new images and ideas in their professional activity are offered. The formation and development of spatial imagination is an essential part of the educational process, which is realized through the acquisition of such graphic disciplines as Engineering and Computer Graphics, Design Graphics, Design, Descriptive Geometry and Drawing, AppliedGeometric Modeling, etc. An effective method of masteringa diploma is visualization, which allowsyou to deliver the required amount of information in the shortest possible time inthe form of graphic images with a minimum text area. In the classes of graphic disciplines are formed the ability to operate spatial imagesand mental activity. These processestake place through spatial imagination, spatial cognition, representations, spatialmemory, mental operations, and spatial perception. The spatial perception of new graphic information enables us to operate,transform and model new images and ideas in the professional activity, facilitating the orientation and location of objects in any sphere of professional activity.

Artistic space, presented in the story Kabala by A. Potyomkin, can be seen in various hypostases. The real, ethereal and ill-fated areas of the imagination of the main character connect with his opium dependence. Parfirchikov’s imagination is tightly connected with nostalgia, which manifests itself in the escape from the real world into the dreamed space of his inner world. Every character’s transformation from one space into another takes place after the dose of drug is taken by him.

Opis:
The theme of Russia occupies a special place in the works of Ivan Bunin. He turns to Russia throughout his literary activity. In exile, his forsaken homeland becomes a source of special inspiration for the author, and a main subject for the book of his stories Dark Alleys, where Bunin included his Late Hour. In this short story, the author recalls lost places in his native land. The motive of the journey is plot-forming and connects two layers, which interact in the narrative: the journey that happened in the real past, and an imaginary journey. Bunin describes this imaginary journey as if it is happening in reality. The routes of these two journeys include new loci as Suez Canal, Nile, Paris..., which indicates the importance of the idea of geo-poetics for the author. Recollections in Bunin’s story Late Hour come up to the Memory, which tramples death. It proves the resurrectional power of art.

This article concerns “living zones of the imagination”-areas of social life in which intensive “interpretive labor” is underway. Thanks to these zones, it is possible to engage in universally accepted exercises that enable a person to “see the world through the eyes of another person” and that yet do not disturb the current socio-cultural order. They provide an important basis for understanding among people, for harmonizing meanings in the sphere of social realities, and for integration that goes beyond certain permanent boundaries and hierarchies. The basic aim of the article is to prove that hospitality, understood as a value in Polish culture, could contribute to a considerable degree to the creation of such zones. The author analyzes the zones’ character, function, and meaning, paying attention to how they resist the expansion of bureaucratic ways of organizing social life. He also draws attention to the influence that an axio-normative pattern could havewithin specific models of behavior and cultural practices.

Opis:
The term “imagination” has numerous meaning: colloquial, paraliterary, scientific. They all refer to auto-communication, which is a conversation of an individual with him or herself, when our mind faculties: memory, intuition, observation, intelligence, knowledge – and imagination, too – compete for dominance or strive for harmonious cooperation. Similarly to the generally understood imagination, its particular, important species (literary imagination) requires internal classification, because it is always an imagination of role: of the author, the reader, the expert, the performer, the censor, the distributor, or sometimes of the translator. The question of translator’s and author’s status provokes a comparison between author’s and translator’s imagination: they share some qualities, but also have decidedly different ones. The opposition between created nature and creating nature, which is a notion used by Józef Czechowicz, might be helpful in capturing the similarities and differences. But this opposition, too, demands a literary and historical context. The author created by the romantic myth seems someone gifted with imagination creating literary worlds, which are limitless, whereas the author of realist works, especially diaries, must give priority to observation, when a piece of external, empirical reality is described and recorded. Baroque, romanticism, realism, expressionism, avant-garde, postmodernism differ in their canons of imagination. The creative process by the author of an original work becomes a negotiation between innovations of authorial fantasy and recreation of the canon. The translator is under much stronger pressure from his or her times, because his or her objectives and tasks are different. Usually, knowledge is enough for a translator: linguistic, historical, literary, common, encyclopaedic, specialised. If knowledge fails, the translator reaches out to imagination as an instrument for interpretation of source text, but this happens only when the text is ambiguous and rich in images. Be it as it may, the quality and range of translator’s activity are determined by someone else’s imagination, accumulated in the translated work, and present in its rhetorics.

Opis:
The idea of sustainable development leads us to re-look at the city, sometimes invent it again. It pretends to transform the sphere of human activities and is based on the new human relationships with the surrounding space. How to organize public life zone in such a way as to ensure their long duration, reasonably taking advantage of available resources? How to create a friendly urban space, which is actively involved all the social classes and encourages them to act for the common good? What is the modern ideal city? This article depicts the urban space through the prism of political ideology. Policy is not only act, but also elaborate earlier discourse. Political practice and the program operates an another system of representation and different nomenclature. What was the reason that it was sustainable development, rather than another concept became the dominant instrument of legitimizing political activities at the local level? The article refers specifically to the contradictions of the same idea: on the one hand, for the process of socio-economic development and appealing to its dynamics, on the other hand, introducing the opposite concept of balance and stability.
Idea zrównoważonego rozwoju każe nam ponownie spojrzeć na miasta, niekiedy wymyślać je na nowo. Pretenduje ona do przekształcenia sfery ludzkich działań, opiera się na nowych związkach człowieka z otaczającą go przestrzenią. Jak zorganizować publiczne strefy życia, aby zapewnić im wszystkim długie trwanie, rozsądnie korzystając z dostępnych zasobów? Jak stworzyć przyjazną człowiekowi przestrzeń miejską, która aktywnie integruje wszystkie zamieszkujące ją warstwy społeczne? Czym jest współczesne miasto idealne? Niniejszy artykuł przygląda się przestrzeni miejskiej przez pryzmat politycznej ideologii. Politykę tworzą nie tylko działania, ale również wypracowany wcześniej dyskurs. Zarówno sama polityczna praktyka, jak i program operują zaś innym systemem reprezentacji i odmiennym nazewnictwem. Co spowodowało, że to właśnie zrównoważony rozwój, a nie inna koncepcja stała się dominującym instrumentem legitymizowania działań politycznych na poziomie lokalnym? Artykuł odnosi się w szczególności do sprzeczności samej idei: z jednej strony optującej za rozwojem społeczno-gospodarczym i jego dynamiką, z drugiej zaś, wprowadzającej przeciwstawne pojęcie równowagi, stabilności.

The present text is an effect of considerations devoted to art education of an early-school child focused on stimulating children’s creativity and artistic imagination. The first part of the article presents considerations regarding the issue of artistic imagination and creativity. The second part discusses the concept of designing artistic activities at the level of early school education as a stimulator of imagination and child creativity. The third part of the article is an attempt to present the possibilities of using the techniques of contemporary art as a platform for pedagogical activities.
Der hier zu präsentierte Text ist Ergebnis der Überlegungen zu der auf Stimulierung kindlicher Kreativität und Kunstphantasie gerichteten Kunstausbildung eines Kindes im frühen Schulalter. Der erste Teil erörtert die mit Kunstphantasie und Kreativität verbundenen Fragen. Im zweiten Teil wird die Idee dargestellt, den Kunstunterricht in früher Schulbildung als ein Stimulus für Phantasie und kindliche Kreativität zu entwickeln. Im dritten Teil ihres Beitrags bemüht sich die Verfasserin zu zeigen, auf welche Art und Weise die von moderner Kunst angebotenen Kunsttechniken im Ausbildungsprozess verwendet werden können.

The article interprets Jan Brzękowski’s poem “kolory” [couleurs]. Accepting the assumption that the reading of the Cracow avant-garde poetry, including Brzękowski’s works, requires the textual approach, the author of the article gives an in-depth discussion of rhetorical figures  (especially metaphors) and symbolic motifs (metals, colours, weather phenomena). Such reading of “kolory” turns the poem into a statement about the unique psychological (or even spiritual) experience of the lyrical self, who, after a crisis of darkness, has an insight “in the breaking dawn”.

The strategic imagination is one of the key competences in the strategic management, although often is ignored. The role of the strategic imagination in management is particularly evident in variable and uncertain reality. Due to the important role of the media in shaping the opinion of the society, in this article I attempted to analyze the perception of the strategic imagination on the basis of selected articles in the daily newspapers. For obvious reasons, this text does not exhaust the subject, but it is the starting point for his exploration in the future.

The author of this article presents religious motives in poetry. References to the sacred are used to diagnose the spiritual and moral situation of the contemporary world, which is in the phase of a cultural catastrophe. The poet evokes various layers of tradition and confronts them with civilization. The poems testify to the erosion of religious imagination and the helplessness of man in the face of the progressing spiritual self-destruction of humanity.

Niniejszy artykuł podejmuje zagadn ienie relacji między procesem standaryzacji i klasyfikacji męskiej anoreksji a ich praktycznymi implementacjami w internetowej platformie służby zdrowia. Szczegółowy nacisk został położony na znaczeniu standardowego kalkulatora pomiaru masy ciała, który jest uniwersalnie wykorzystywany do diagnozowania męskiej anoreksji. Wykorzystując ustalenia metodologiczne wypracowane na gruncie studiów nad nauką i technologią (STS) oraz propozycje teoretyczne Abriszewskiego (2013) i Nowaka (2016). Autor dowodzi jak problematyczne i niejednoznaczne jest założenie uniwersalnej stosowalności standardów. i jak modernistyczny postulat uniwersalizacji – w dzisiejszej rzeczywistości – traci moc i przywilej redukowania lęków i uspójniania świata. Analizując sposób standaryzowania i klasyfi kowania męskiej anoreksji przez Amerykańskie Towarzystwo Psychiatryczne (ASA) i Światową Organizację Zdrowia (WHO) oraz sposób, w jaki konkretne narzędzie pomiarowe (Body Mass Index) jest wykorzystane przez angielską służbę zdrowia (NHS) tekst proponuje przedefiniowanie postulatu uniwersalizacji.
The article tackles the problem of relation between standardization and classification process of male anorexia and its practical implementations in health care internet platform. The particular attention has been drawn to the significance of a specific, standard body mass calculator which is universally used to diagnose male anorexia. Applying methodological perspective of science and technology studies (STS) and theoretical claims that of Abriszewski (2013) and Nowak (2016 author argues how problematic and complex is the assumption of universal application of standards. Subsequently it is claimed ho modern proposition of universality – in contemporary world – loses its power and privilege of reducing risks and making a consistent world. Through an analysis of American Psychiatrists Association (DSM) and World Health Organization (ICD) ways of standardizing and classifying male anorexia and through unearthing how a particular measurement tool (Body Mass Index) is used by English internet health care platform the article postulates redefi ning the assumption of universality as a key attribute of standardizing processes.

The article presents the critical reading of Anita Jarzyna’s Imaginauci. Pismo wyobraźni w poezji Bolesława Leśmiana, Józefa Czechowicza, Krzysztofa Kamila Baczyńskiego, Tadeusza Nowaka, the book devoted to the poets who share the belief in the creative power of words. Jarzyna uses the concept of the religious text to introduce the notion of the text of imagination. It allows her to treat imagination as an interpretative category and poetic theme. The author of the review sees Jarzyna’s book as an invaluable insight into each poet’s works but also as a unique “textual” treatment of imagination. At the same time the article opens the discussion about metaphorizing and creating of critical literary discourse.

Opis:
Józefowski considers interdisciplinary studies of creative workshop as art form. He describes the structure of his original workshop and discusses the role of imagination and image. Józefowski considers workshop as an art form dating back to the premises of the avant-garde (Here the term ‘avant-garde’ is broadly used to denote innovative artistic activity) and contained in the current of its post-avant-garde manifestations. He analyses the demand for personalization of art, which causes the rejection of the rigor of work imposed by the artistic structure that is defined by technique. The essence of art becomes a functional relation between the main participants of aesthetic events—a creative artist, an on-looker, a subject matter, a relation consisting in art-experiencing. Their functions intertwine, creating an aesthetical field (cf. A. Berleant, Prze-myśleć estetykę, Kraków 2007). The concept of workshop refers to the idea of shaping reality through art, espoused in all currents and formations of the avant-garde. The postulate refers to two dimensions of experiencing the reality— external and internal. The shaping of external reality is achieved through the arrangement of the public space, introduction of new order of social space, defined by work/artistic process. The shaping of the inner reality encompasses the influence of the creative situation experienced by an individual on his/her mental makeup: views, emotions, values.

In the article Imagination and creation versus politics and power – on the example of Paris lectures by Adam Mickiewicz Ewelina Głowacka proposes to examine the vision of history created by Mickiewicz in lectures, in which many conviction about the past were built not so much on facts but on the imagination. The analysis mainly concerns the poet's etymological ideas contained in two lectures of the third course about the origin of the Slavs, where he told the ancient history of these people by studying the etymology of individual words. Using postcolonial theory, the author demonstrates that the historiosophy of lectures given at the Collège de France was a thoughtful strategy designed for specific political effects. As a professor of Slavic literature and languages at the cathedral in Paris, Mickiewicz assumes the role of a spokesperson for the Slavs in the West. The main goal of the poet's speeches was associated with the mission of freeing the Slavs from subordination to Western European countries, and in particular, of winning the independence of the Republic of Poland. As a poet and a visionary, Mickiewicz knew that such changes do not take place only in the military and official domains, but also, and perhaps above all – in the sphere of the imagination. Thus, the poet tried to create a new Slavic myth that would empower the Slavic culture and increase its political significance. In this context, theories of Hobsbawm's invented tradition and Anderson's imagined community are recalled, as they allow for a better understanding of the community-forming dimension of the narrative built by the poet. To outline the origins of Mickiewicz's postcolonial attitude, the poet's early works were also discussed, as already in his student days he exhibited cognitive skepticism about the official historiography and noticed some forms of symbolic violence. From an early age, he also knew that imagination is an indispensable tool of science.
