Husserl's two notions of "definiteness" enabled him to clarify the problem of imaginary numbers. The exact meaning of these notions is a topic of much controversy. A "definite" axiom system has been interpreted as a syntactically complete theory, and also as a categorical one. I discuss whether and how far these readings manage to capture Husserl's goal of elucidating the problem of imaginary numbers, raising objections to both positions. Then, I suggest an interpretation of "absolute definiteness" as semantic completeness and argue that this notion does not suffice to explain Husserl's solution to the problem of imaginary numbers.

O objetivo dessa análise está centrado na busca de elementos do imaginário social que definem as identidades culturais nordestinas formadas e mantidas fora do nordeste, em especial em São Paulo, um dos maiores centros de concentração de migrantes, no qual a religiosidade, a festividade e as imagens simbólicas desse imaginário formam espaços e palcos privilegiados para processos simbólico-territoriais de regionalização a partir de práticas culturais e devocionais que viajaram pelo Brasil e se alocaram na maior cidade do país. Dessa forma, foram privilegiadas para análise e interpretação, as formas de concepção desses lugares, suas definições e contornos na (trans)formação dos traços da cultura nordestina incluindo sotaques, cores, sabores, memórias e religiosidade nas maiores concentrações de nordestinos fora do seu lugar de produção de sentido. A partir dessas referências e representações culturais foram vislumbradas suas principais relações e sentidos na construção do imaginário para a sociedade. Como metodologia privilegiou-se a análise de imagens de lugares de memória e territórios que contemplam experiências e memórias migrantes, além de revisão bibliográfica sobre a produção das identidades. Como resultados se esmeram reflexões sobre a ideia de manutenção das identidades migrantes em outras terras por meio do imaginário coletivo.
The objective of this analysis is centered on the search for elements of the social imaginary that define the northeastern cultural identities formed and maintained outside the northeast, especially in São Paulo, one of the largest centers of concentration of migrants, in which religiosity, festivity and symbolic images of this imaginary form privileged spaces and stages for symbolic-territorial processes of regionalization based on cultural and devotional practices that traveled through Brazil and moved to the largest city in the country. Thus, the ways of conceiving these places, their definitions, and contours in the (trans) formation of the traits of the Northeastern culture, including accents, colors, flavors, memories, and religiosity in the largest concentrations of Northeasterners outside of their own, were privileged for analysis and interpretation place of production of meaning. From these references and cultural representations, its main relationships and meanings were glimpsed in the construction of the imaginary for society. As a methodology, the analysis of images of places of memory and territories that contemplate migrant experiences and memories was privileged, in addition to a bibliographic review on the production of identities. As a result, reflections on the idea ofmaintaining migrant identities in other lands through collective imagery are painstaking.

In the newspaper articles and feuilltons, Antun Gustav Matoš uses a variety of procedures analogous to his artistic creation and develops a rich figuration and characteristic irony. The journalistic discourse constructed in that way consistently creates political and social imaginary which confirms oppositions: nationally/internationally, individual/collective, tradition/modernity and Croat/Serb, where the author clearly states his preference. Although Matoš consistently promote Starčevićʼs heritage, liberalism and individualism, he does not simply convey a political message, but adds meaning to agitation, which boosts its suggestivness, but also causes that it becomes relative.

A finais da pasada década de sesenta, iníciase na Galiza un proceso de recuperación da actividade dramática vehiculizada en galego. Os participantes nese proceso refundacional do sistema teatral galego ignoraban inicialmente todo o realizado nos palcos do país antes do golpe de estado fascista. O réxime ditatorial encargárase de apagar calquera información que puidese servir de elemento cohesionador da sociedade galega e promovía outros trazos –intensamente folclorizados– que, permitindo unha lasa filiación emocional coa terra, non colidisen coa súa ideoloxía imperialista. A recuperación e a posta en valor do sucedido teatralmente na Galiza antes de 1936 encaixaba perfectamente na vontade de contestación ao réxime e de procura dun espazo galego de participación cidadá que o franquismo negaba, vontade que os tiña levado ao reencontro coa reivindicación nacional. Os envolvidos na actividade escénica galega refundacional foron conscientes de que o coñecemento do pasado enriquece o imaxinario nacional e este representa unha poderosa arma contra a subalternidade. Repásanse aquí os paradoxos en que se tiveron que mexer, pois a actividade teatral galega das primeiras décadas do século XX ficaba temática e esteticamente moi afastada do teatro que se quería facer e trazar a ponte co pasado tornábase difícil.

Celem tekstu jest przyjrzenie się kilku realizacjom motywu sobowtóra i ukazanie, w jaki sposób ta istniejąca w kulturze od wieków figura aktualizuje się w literaturze drugiej połowy XX wieku. Jaka jest relacja między tymi postaciami a tradycyjnie ujmowanymi doppelgängerami ukazującymi rozbicie i poczucie zagrożenia podmiotu? Czy zmiana, jaka zaszła w figurze sobowtóra, jest tylko powierzchowna, wynikająca z konieczności unowocześnienia wytartych motywów, czy też za taką modyfikacją postępuje również ewolucja przenoszonych znaczeń? Jako materiał badawczy posłużyły trzy polskie opowiadania fantastycznonaukowe, które powstały w obrębie różnych nurtów i w różnym czasie: “Holoman” Janusza Szablickiego i “Skasować drugie ja” Adama Hollanka oraz tekst “#Eudajmonia” Magdaleny Kucenty.
The aim of the article is to investigate selected instances of the doppelgänger literary motif and to present how that centuries-old figure actualizes itself in the literature of the second half of the 20th century. The text explores the following questions: how is the relationship between these characters and traditional doppelgängers used to show the subject’s disintegration and sense of danger? Is the change that occurred within the doppelgänger figure only a superficial modernization of an obsolete trope or rather a profound evolution of the meaning it conveys? My research focuses on three Polish science-fiction narratives, written in different times and within different paradigms: “Holoman” by Janusz Szablicki, “Skasować drugie ja” by Adam Hollanek and “#Eudajmonia” by Magdalena Kucenty.

Let A, D, K, k ∈ ℕ with D square free and 2 ∤ k,B = 1,2 or 4 and $μ_{i} ∈ {-1,1}(i = 1,2)$, and let $h(-2^{1-e}D)(e = 0 or 1)$ denote the class number of the imaginary quadratic field $ℚ(√(-2^{1-e}D))$. In this paper, we give the all-positive integer solutions of the Diophantine equation Ax² + μ₁B = K((Ay² + μ₂B)/K)ⁿ, 2 ∤ n, n > 1 and we prove that if D > 1, then $h(-2^{1-e}D) ≡ 0 (mod n)$, where D, and n satisfy $kⁿ - 2^{e+1} = Dx²$, x ∈ ℕ, 2 ∤ n, n > 1. The results are valuable for the realization of quadratic field cryptosystem.

The research described in the article is based on the assumption that support is a function of internal dialogs, but their role in a stressful situation is not known. The subject of the research is dialogs with imaginary interlocutors and their role in coping in stressful situations. The participants in the study (N = 73) were asked to imagine a difficult situation. Then, the experimental group (N = 36) conducted an imaginary dialog with a person from the previously created map of support. The control group (N = 37) generated a list of possible solutions to a difficult situation. The study measured the quality of support obtained as a result of the dialog or as a result of making a list of solutions. The results show that a dialog with an imaginary interlocutor is a more effective form of coping with a stressful situation than generating a list of possible solutions to the problem.

U članku se analizira pitanje stereotipā koji se javljaju u originalnom tekstu Ive Andrića "Na Drini ćuprija" i u poljskom prijevodu Haline Kalite. Kako je svijet Andrićevog romana smješten u izuzetno hibridno, pogranično tlo, transfer smisla u okvir novog jezika, ovdje: poljskog, mora se realizirati u adaptaciji određenih kulturnih matrica i jezičnih jedinica. U istraživanju se pokušava obratiti pozornost na neprikladnost obaju imaginarija (bosanskohercegovačkog i poljskog) te na prividnu ekvivalenciju leksičkih jedinica, a također i na ulogu različitih čitateljā koji, imajući na raspolaganju vlastite kulturno determinirane predožbe/stereotipe, na drugačije načine pristupaju interpreatiji književnog djela.
In this article, the question of various stereotypes present in the original and Polish translation (translated by Halina Kalita) of Ivo Andric’s novel "The Bridge on the Drina" is taken into consideration. Since the universe of Andric’s book is located in the extraordinarily complex hybrid borderland of Bosnia, the very transfer of semantic sense into the new language, here: the Polish language must be realized within the adaptation of certain cultural matrixes and linguistic items. In this research article, several questions are analyzed: the lack of similarity between the Bosnian and Polish cultural universes, the apparent equivalence of linguistic items, and the role of various readers who — bearing their own cultural imaginations/ stereotypes — interpret the book in different ways.

Legends, fairy tales, and myths have always aroused the interest of diverse societies. They are discursive genres that represent the imaginary of peoples and communities. Through them, identities and beliefs are constituted, revealing common aspects of a particular culture. In the narratives we find heroes and heroines who defend cities, stop the enemy, and are at the mercy of their own fate. Based on this assumption, this study aims to answer the following research question: how can the linguistic-symbolic convergences of the female heroic archetype of Iara and Syrenka be explained from a transdisciplinary theoretical assumption? To address this issue, we propose the following objectives: a) to present the symbolic and archetypal convergences that emerge in the narratives of Iara and Syrenka’s female heroism through Brazilian and Polish discourse and the imaginary; b) to propose a theoretical-methodological analysis in terms of transdisciplinarity. The work presented here shows that the exercise of this instaurative transdisciplinarity is possible if the methods and the theoretical path are made clear. Finally, the study has shown that the female heroic archetype is present in both cultures, Brazilian and Polish contexts, from which the narratives originate, sharing mythical traits and textual-discursive configurations.

This research is the product of a task related to the training and qualification of tribal people for social innovation and sustainability in the Amazon. It seeks to generate competencies and skills while preserving the culture and tradition of traditional peoples in the scenario of the Western Brazilian Amazon; as an effect, it is expected to construct multiplying talents among the peoples of the Amazon Forest through imaginary games, using also information and communication technology for development (ICT4D), if possible.. This work considers the reference of the Ashaninkas for elaborating sustainability concepts, which help improve the quality of life in the various Amazonian tribes. It is proposed to develop indigenous skills through correlation treatment. It is proposed the creation of a scenario, individual and group inclusion, survey of propositions, and monitoring of the development of these skillsusing ICT4D that should be consistent with the culture and tradition of those involved. As a result, it is concluded that the complexity of technical preparation is an innovation, given that there is no task like this published in the annals of events that deal with traditional peoples. However, the need for this task is entirely conceivable, given the accelerated development that oppresses the indigenous people and reduces their food availability. Worrisome; mining activities without strict supervision have contaminated the region's rivers with mercury, which is dangerous for aquatic life and for the indigenous people who feed on these free lives. It is possible to admit a solution, and the workshop for constructing multiplier talents among tribal societies is one of the solutions. This work is of interest to public managers when creating government policies. It is also of interest to anthropologists, environmentalists, administrators, economists, sociologists, pedagogues, and others committed to this issue addressed here. This article deals with the identification of the best non-life Polish insurance company according to selected approaches. Four indicators were selected for evaluation such as growth of brutto written premium, asset leverage, reserve ratio and investments to technical provisions. The results of financial analysis were evaluated by Method of distance from imaginary object. This ranking of insurance companies was next compared with two approaches.
Niniejszy artykuł dotyczy identyfikacji najlepszej polskiej firmy ubezpieczeń majątkowych według wybranych metod. Do oceny wybrane zostały cztery wskaźniki, takie jak wzrost składki przypisanej brutto, dźwignia finansowa aktywów, stopa rezerwy i inwestycje w rezerwy techniczne. Wyniki analizy finansowej oszacowano Metodą odległości od wzorcowego obiektu. Niniejszy ranking firm ubezpieczeniowych był następne porównany z dwiema metodami.

The subject of this article is the problem of the imagined geography of the nineteenth century Europe in the Polish writing under the partitions in the period between uprisings. A distinction on the Europe of places and the Europe of spaces is the basic proposition of this paper.The Polish authors focused on the specific places – towns, monuments, museum, souvenirs and nature strangeness when they described the Western. They imagined this part of Europe as the collection of places. The spaces were only the complement of this image. The Eastern and North parts of Europe were described differently. The authors rarer referred to particular places. While writing about Volyn, Podolia or Ukraine the Polish authors depicted rampant and vast steppes. Similarly, they depicted the forest landscapes while they writing about Polesia and Lithuania. They perceived the extreme North as rocky and glacial spaces.

Opis:
The novels of Jean Echenoz are particularly known for their playfulness with which they deconstruct the codes of the paraliterary genres, as well as for a casualness with which they approach the topos of the modernist novel. The production of this author of the last two decades nevertheless testifies of a new direction that slips in the biographical. Like many writers of his generation, Jean Echenoz deals in Jérôme Lindon (2001), Ravel (2006), Courir (2008) and Des éclairs (2010) with the lives of illustrious personalities of our era. We can wonder what the objective of this approach of a writer, who shows his admiration with regard to his characters, is. Is it a simple tribute or need to fill out gaps in history that we will never complete for lack of evidence to support? This paper also tries to deal with the problem of the genre of these texts that lie at the edge between fiction and factual literature.
Powieści Jeana Echenoza słyną z ludycznego dekonstruowania kodów gatunków paraliterackich oraz ze swobody, z jaką autor traktuje topos powieści modernistycznej. Tymczasem twórczość pisarza z ostatnich dwóch dziesięcioleci świadczy o przesuwaniu się w nowym kierunku – w stronę biografizmu. W tekstach Jérôme Lindon (2001), Ravel (2006), Długodystansowiec (2008) i Błyskawice (2010), jak wielu innych pisarzy jego pokolenia, Echenoz pochyla się nad życiem słynnych postaci naszych czasów. Nasuwa się pytanie, jaki jest cel pisarza, który okazuje swoim postaciom podziw. Chodzi po prostu o złożenie hołdu czy też o wypełnianie białych plam historii, których nigdy nie zapełnimy z braku dostępnej wiedzy? Niniejszy artykuł porusza także kwestię cech gatunkowych tych tekstów, sytuujących się pomiędzy fikcją i literaturą faktu.

Opis:
Wśród współczesnych projektów opakowań produktów spożywczych pojawiają się liczne odwzorowania krajobrazu. Wykorzystywanie krajobrazu jako komunikatu handlowego ma długą tradycję i jest powszechne, co skłania do wyodrębnienia pojęcia krajobrazu konsumpcyjnego. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań wydzielono dwa podstawowe rodzaje wizerunków krajobrazu widoki krajobrazu rzeczywistego (rozpoznawalne, istniejące miejscowości, budynki itp.) oraz widoki krajobrazu wyobrażeniowego (wyimaginowany widok sugerujący typ krajobrazu). Wyniki badań dotyczących masowego przekazu marketingowego opartego na krajobrazie ilustrują w szerszym sensie ogólny stan społecznej świadomości dotyczącej piękna. W kontekście praktyk sprzedaży zebrane wyniki mogą być pomocne przy opracowywaniu strategii marketingowej, tworzącej wizerunek produktów za pomocą motywów krajobrazowych.
Contemporary design of food labels use different landscape pictures. Using the landscape in trade and market as a way of serving the message has long history and is very common. It was the main reason to create the concept of consumers landscape. According to research results two basic landscape images were observed - images of real landscape (pictures of recognizable and existing places, sites, cities, buildings, etc.) and images of imaginary landscape (imaginary view suggesting the certain type of landscape). The results of conducted researches could be helpful in recognizing the difference between real landscape and imaginary landscape. Conducted researches could be used not only in landscape architecture, but also in trade and marketing. Wide range of phenomenon called consumers landscape allows for expanding the studies on the dependency between a landscape vista and recognizing and selling the product.
