About nine (E)-(2,5-dinitrophenyl)-2-(substituted benzylidene)hydrazines have been synthesized by hydroxy apatite catalyzed condensation of 2,4-dinitrophenyl hydrazine and substituted benzaldehydes under microwave irradiation conditions. The obtained yields of these hydrazines are more than 85%. The purities of synthesized hydrazines are examined by the analytical and spectroscopic data reported earlier. The infrared spectral C=N, NH frequencies (v, cm-1) and the NMR spectral chemical shifts of CH, NH protons and carbons are assigned and are correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameter using single and multi-regression analysis. From the results of statistical analysis the effects of substituent on the group frequencies have been discussed. The antioxidant activities of these synthesized hydrazines were measured using DPPH radical scavenging method. The hydroxy- and methoxy- substituted hydrazines shows significant antioxidant activity.

Opis:
Hydrazinium 5-aminotetrazolate (2) was synthesized via two facile routes. Both the reaction of 5-amino-1H-tetrazole (1) with hydrazine hydrate in aqueous solution and the reaction of 1 with diluted hydrazine solution in THF yield 2 in excellent purities and yields. 2 was characterized comprehensively by X-ray diffraction, IR, Raman and multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, elemental analysis and differential scanning calorimetry. The heat of formation was calculated (CMS-4M) using the atomization method to be 373 kJ mol-1. With this value and the X-ray density several detonation parameter (heats of explosion, detonation pressure, detonation velocity, explosion temperature) were calculated with the EXPLO5 computer software. An incredible high value (9516 m s-1) was obtained for the detonation velocity. Therefore experimentally tests to determine the velocity of detonation were performed. In addition the use of 2 in solid propellant compositions was calculated and tested in combination with oxidizers, e.g. ammonium dinitramide. Lastly the sensitivities towards impact, friction and electrostatic discharge were determined with the BAM drophammer, friction tester and an ESD machine.

Ten 1-(3-chloro-4-nitrophenyl)-2-(substituted benzylidene) hydrazines have been synthesized by FeCl3/Bentonite catalyzed solvent-free condensation of substituted phenyl hydrazine and aldehydes under microwave irradiation. The synthesized hydrazides are characterized by the physical constants, micro analysis and spectroscopic data. The assigned characteristic spectroscopic data of these 1-(3-chloro-4-nitrophenyl)-2-(substituted benzylidene) hydrazines were correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters using Hammett equation through single and multi-regression analysis. With the results of statistical analysis results, the quantitative structure activity relationships were studied and finding the effect of substituents on the spectral data.

About ten (Z)-1-(1-(substitutedphenyl)ethylidene)-2-(diphenylmethylene)hydrazines were prepared and their purities were examined by literature method. The infrared and NMR spectra of these hydrazines were recorded. The characteristics C=N and N-N stretches (ν, cm-1) and the chemical shifts (δ, ppm) of methyl protons and carbons were assigned. These spectral have been correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F, R and Swain-Lupton’s parameters using single and multi-regression analysis. From the results of statistical analyses, the effects of substituent on the spectral data have been studied.
